Marking place. Looking for at least £200 this month.

ruralwanderer · 01/04/2022 12:41

I have smashed my £250 target for March! :D So pleased and feeling really motivated now. I earnt £385.54 (ish - the American income may not convert as well as I'd like).

Crisp - £144.13
Appen - $62.15
Search Sciences - £80
Prolific - £36
Intellizoom - $44
Exam invigilating at a local college for a few hours - £44.55

Targeting £300 for April but will keep pushing for more :)

Oh I'd forgotten all about invigilation, I did that at uni and it's how I started working in schools! Fantastically straightforward way to earn some extra short term cash if you are available to work during school hours, generally flexible too. Schools with sixth forms are especially good as it extends the 'season'.

I'm a bit below target for saying my two App projects have a 15 hour a week minimum together, hardly been any work on Yu some of the days and I neglected Og a bit to make time for Y which I suspect I won't be on much longer. I've picked up some more transcription to plug the gap though so I think I'll invoice about £400 across the two. Lots of new App projects coming through too and some of them aren't even the funny audio ones 😂 so will see if any of them come off, always good to have a few irons in the fire isn't it.

Also still waiting for £37 from the Chip/topcashback that someone very kindly shared on the previous thread. That's treat money for me though, I need a new pair of boots!

8dpwoah · 01/04/2022 13:23

Forgot to say well done to you @ruralwanderer and thanks for the new thread!

stillherenow · 01/04/2022 17:09

Checking in now I'm peeling potatoes and not just stuck on the Appen surveys?

Managed to get on a surge early this morning .

Bit worried I'm doing quite a lot wrong, have started to make more use of unsure as the feedback is quite helpful.

stillherenow · 01/04/2022 17:11

I made £42.66 on prolific in March - best ever I think.

YonderTweek · 01/04/2022 18:36

Thanks for the new thread. Smile

I don't think I made even £100 in March. It's been a bad month. Sad I've had a nice time chilling with family not doing much, but I do fancy making some money now... Fingers crossed April will be better!

Spirogyra · 01/04/2022 18:44

@stillherenow It is nervewracking at first. Do you mean you click unsure (I still use that at times) & then email them as a query? I haven't done that for a while but probably should. How long is it currently taking to get a reply?

I was away for 2 weeks at end of March & people were complaining about the dashboard problem well before that. I didn't have a problem with mine but logged on today & mine is now not working Sad.

Has everyone seen the message about extra tasks? I have applied for the first time, although have no idea what I am applying for Grin

Thanks for the new thread, ruralwanderer

stillherenow · 01/04/2022 18:50

@Spirogyra I've gone at it all guns blazing but just read about the desired accuracy rate and have gone a bit 😬😬😬 so I think I'm going to do less and send in more 'unsure's, feedback came back same day. And then build it up as I understand it a bit better.

Spirogyra · 01/04/2022 18:55

oh, they are replying much quicker than they used to then. I don't think the quoted accuracy rate is realistic, & doubt if anyone achieves it. Sounds very sensible what you are doing though.

justalittlebitextra · 01/04/2022 19:21

Thanks @ruralwanderer for the thread.

I've had an ok month -

£140 on survey sites (including £88.49 on Prolific which is my best month ever).

$524 on App* (N*e plus some odds and sods).

I've just passed the qualification quiz for a sub-project on A*s, production starting next week, so hopefully there's a couple of weeks work there (typically just as the Easter bloody holidays start though).

Talking of invigilation work, I have got a couple of days work coming up at the start of May as an election officer and possibly counting postal votes for the local elections. Something pinged up from my local council on FB about it, so I applied and they accepted me straight away!

BaffledAgain · 02/04/2022 12:04

@justalittlebitextra Thanks for mentioning the elections officer role, have just applied for my local council.
Someone mentioned exam invigilation work, I started this earlier in the year for a large local secondary school with a sixth form and quite enjoy it.

How do you get on the with the tracking apps? They aren't too invasive? What about battery life?
animalcrossingfan2021 · 02/04/2022 15:29

I have just signed up to Appen, but not sure how it works. Do they email the jobs or do i need to check the website?

I think I'm in the same boat as you. I made about £80 this month. I've not had a decent project from Appen this year yet Sad

placemarking

ruralwanderer · 02/04/2022 17:56

There are some great totals so far, well done guys! For those who aren't so happy with your totals, don't get discouraged, keep plugging on and make the most of whatever extra cash you can get your hands on 👍

@cheeschips, hopefully someone will come along and answer your questions soon, I don't use any tracking apps so can't help you, sorry.

@animalcrossingfan2021, you need to go to the Projects tab and apply for everything you think you can do as most won't come to fruition so it's best to have too many irons in the fire.

MrsWombat · 03/04/2022 20:49

Signing in. I made around £200 last month. Mostly from my Print On Demand stuff (Merch by Amazon, Etsy, Amazon KDP, and Teachers Pay Teachers) but also Crisp and uTest. I'm spreading myself thin amongst many things as usual. Can't bring myself to focus on one thing properly, and make more money. Grin

Also did a few hours of overtime at work which is a far more efficient way of earning money so made well over my £10 a day target.

MIL suggested I get a "little job" opening and closing a local community centre - a minimum wage job. She was a bit confused when I said I could make more than that at home in my pyjamas without worrying about childcare or travel. Grin

mydogisthebest · 04/04/2022 09:54

Is anyone's dashboard working on Crisp? Mine hasn't been working for a few days now

Redcrayons · 04/04/2022 10:47

Mine either. There have been some comments that they are looking into it.
I’ve been recording my totals myself but with surges I’m not sure how much I’ve done.

TheVeryLastUsername · 04/04/2022 10:50

@Redcrayons how are you recording your totals? Are you just keeping count of how many items you’re putting through yourself and calculating from this?

Redcrayons · 04/04/2022 11:29

Yes I have a basic tally chart and do a rough calculation from that. I managed to get on a few surges over the weekend, so my total is probably way off though.

When I say recording myself I mean just on my own spreadsheet. I try to set myself a daily target so use that to see where I’m up to.

Adelais · 04/04/2022 11:29

I wish they’d hurry up and fix the dashboard, I don’t like not knowing how much I’m earning!

N0va · 04/04/2022 13:35

signing up with a referral link and depositing £1 ! You will then receive £20, you only need to hold it in your account for 30 days and then you can withdraw!
