Hi everyone, those of you that do potato have you been paid this month yet?!

I have, yes. Was paid pretty much straight away.

I've never had any problems with Prolific but I wonder if the recent bannings have anything to do with the new 'catch you out' questions. Some questions are no longer the 'if paying attention select' sort but trick questions like 'the sky is green' agree or disagree and imo they are easier to get wrong if you're not concentrating.

I've also noticed questions which relate to my 'about you' section so be sure to go through each question regularly to make sure they are up to date as you can get rejected if you are not consistent with your answers. I've just reviewed mine and for some reason one said I played golf (I don't) so worth checking! I'm going to cash out lots too. No more letting £50 build up!!

So I’m quite liking airtime rewards, it’s good if the companies you use anyway are signed up. Gutted that I missed Tesco and Asda though. I would’ve earned my contract about 4 times over a month

@8dpwoah sorry to hear you have been kicked off Y. I will miss you on chat. Not sure I'll last much longer to be honest. Failed sxs review again this month with 3 wrong. Not sure how having 3 wrong is a substandard result but I don't think I understand their metrics. I honestly still struggle with it. Took this week off it as needed a break.
Been doing At**s this weekend and enjoying it. That's run out now though. Hope everyone is doing ok 😊

Ha yes I think it was SxS that did for me too in the end, my NM wasn't totally up to scratch but was top 40 so 🤷‍♀️
I'll miss the natter but I don't think I could ever get my head into the mindset of what we were doing! You will be ok 🙂 I wonder if they needed to have a bit of a cull too with the amount of NRT lately so if you're still on the books I reckon you're set.

@8dpwoah , I don't know. Do they email you to tell you? My PQs have been alright and mostly NM although only just ME this time around. SxS is a nightmare and each time I get a bad review I am like a rabbit in the headlights and don't know how to rate going forward. I guess what will be will be. It is a very stressful project though! 😢 Hope you find something much better! ☺️

@0htooooodles shame about N**e - how long had you been on it? I saw someone on the chat say they'd had 'sufficient data' notification and they'd only done 8 months, which has now stressed me out as I'm counting on the full year as it's such a nice earner!

@Catatemyhomework - have you got another cat related nickname on the A*s chat? If so I saw you in there this morning (I'm omp on there). After ballsing up the qualification quiz they said I could do production anyway as I'd done the project before, which was a relief.

What is airtime rewards pease?

@Catatemyhomework I got an email the day after the review came out saying access blocked, thanks and good luck kind of thing. Logged into App, dashboard back to normal and RH just gives an error. So I'm definitely gone 😂

@RiverSkater I use airtime rewards, basically you have to register any debit cards you use and when you make a purchase using that card at a partner retailer over £5 you get a bit of cash on your airtime rewards account and then when it gets to £10 you can cash it in against your mobile contract, or keep saving. I'm on O2 but it might work on other networks, I forget. It includes Argos and Boots, Primark I think? Asda were on over Christmas too so it does update fairly regularly. I think I've earned nearly £40 over around a year, maybe a bit longer, for not doing anything extra once you've added your card to their tracker. Although I do sometimes forget and buy things from Sainsbury's rather than the same thing from the in-store Argos which is silly of me as that doesn't count!

Appen is really starting to grind me down this month. Applied for 9 projects that are all still in progress. Two of which I received an email
today to complete links, all three of which are invalid/don’t exist.

Then the 5 projects I have been approved for there are no tasks available! Only one project which is the photography is actually available to me!

Someone on the chat said this year had been very strange and unusual but I just don’t understand how anyone is getting any tasks?!

I'm not getting anything on Ap these days. I literally made like $40 last month and none this month (maybe some A**r returns hopefully).

I hope it picks up because otherwise I'm going to have to find a real job. Or maybe I could try something like Rev again. Although their website isn't working for me so they're probably not doing much either. I passed the Potato test two years ago so that's not going to happen either. I've been looking at ModSquad for yonks but for some reason can't bring myself to do it. Hoping for a miracle clearly...

I clicked through a Prolific survey this morning ("how is your social perception?") without reading the entirety of the instructions/details. I won't be making that mistake again: the task was to match emotions to pictures of eyes, after watching two different two minute videos. The first was from Wall-E, so all fine. The second was a two minute porn video! Two people, putting this as delicately as possible, orally pleasuring one another! When I looked back, the instructions did contain a warning - but I've learned my lesson!

I did cloudworkers for a while, which is adult chat work. When I was recruited it was 10p per message sent and had to be over 150 characters IIRC. They then dropped the rate of pay after a while and I got culled. I wasn't that bothered as I'd found more profitable ventures instead.

In terms of being grim, it was and it wasn't. Some of the chat was just like day to day stuff but there was some sexually explicit too, which I wasn't bothered about but I am quite thick skinned. I guess it just depends how you feel about potentially seeing penises etc because I did see a fair few 🫣

Are there any potato peelers around?

@LolaMontezz I guess you need a lot of stock phrases at your disposal to reply quickly to have a good hourly rate?!

I'm thick skinned but I'm just not sure if I'd get sick of it. I'm fed up with waiting for higher paid opportunities that end up being less per hour when the works not there!
