Same as the rest of you, I've barely touched Potatoes this month - the dashboard not functioning is a massive pain in the bum as I usually check it first to see the queue size and if it's less than 3 figures I don't bother and do something else instead.

Got a problem with my Am** reimbursement amount for the first time Sad much less than it should be - anyone else had this before, is it resolved easily/quickly?
Hoping its wrong and not just the result of a very very poor exchange rate - just checked the table and it shows 0.77 when its actually more like 1.3 - or am I reading it totally wrong Confused

Redcrayons · 06/04/2022 10:08

I’m about £15 short in my reimbursements too.
I uploaded the last review the day after the deadline. So I think it might be that.

Will raise a ticket anyway just in case.

MarisPiper92 · 06/04/2022 12:04

Hi all, complete newbie here. Can I ask how long each day you usually spend on this? And where you'd recommend starting? I've had a good couple of years doing Matched Betting, but I'm so heavily gubbed that it's becoming less and less profitable and I'm looking around at alternatives. Thanks!

peabrainer · 06/04/2022 12:40

Good month on potatos last month for me £500 and Appen was £280. No Shosh/Am**for me this month, it's my favourite, haven't had it for the last 3. Seeing others invited back after a break gives me hope I might get back on at some point.... have others been on it for a few months and then never been invited back though?
@MarisPiper92 to answer your question, I spend about 1.5 hours a day. Go to the start of the thread and click on the links. Prolific and intellizoom are easy starters.

MarisPiper92 · 06/04/2022 12:45

Thanks @peabrainer. 1.5 hours sounds manageable. One problem I was having was that I moved over to casino offers, and due to some legal changes it now takes hours to make any kind of profit, which I just can't do.

Spirogyra · 06/04/2022 14:01

@whysotriggered oh interesting, I missed seeing that. It seems to me that now they are offering to give an estimate of earning once a week that it is not going to be fixed. The statement that surges will be drastically reduced in the next few days also made me think something is going on behind the scenes, other than recruiting.

anxiouswaiting · 06/04/2022 15:14

I've been terrible for keeping up with extra work, but I need to get back on it. I'm starting a new job in a couple of weeks so that will be good, but I want to get some structure.
I got kicked off potato for not meeting targets and I lost 5 Appen that I had been approved for and was awaiting logins etc - apparently I wasn't productive enough, hard to be when they haven't given me access yet!

Not sure how I am going to do this, got some freelance work in my industry which is what I have been working on, but once I start my new job that will be what I do in extra time rather then relying on it like I have been the past few months.

Prolific seems to be pretty good at the moment. I cashed £35 last month so pleased with that. Had lots of high payers.

whysotriggered · 06/04/2022 15:16

I agree with you on this. It's all a bit strange, no time scale for when it will be fixed, who knows what is going on.

onemouseplace · 06/04/2022 15:57

@anxiouswaiting there's a whole load of people on one of my Ap* chats who are really pissed off as they've been given final warnings for productivity when there was only 1 day work available last month. The people management on some of these sites is truly shocking.

RiverSkater · 06/04/2022 16:34

@whysotriggered that's interesting. I might have to search the chat to see that.

I wonder if they have lost some clients hence less work? I used to enjoy the Lego ones but they stopped.

I don't feel I could ever approach the 'management' they all come across pretty robotic.

Adelais · 06/04/2022 17:10

Did anyone see the message on Potato last week where you could fill in a form with your availability? The hours were long shifts so 9-5, 5-1am, 1am-9am. Makes me wonder if they are planning on doing a way with pay per item and just have people do shifts.

ruralwanderer · 06/04/2022 17:13

I applied for that @Adelais but assumed they were looking for people to work shifts within those hours rather than for the full time. I would be very happy to sign up to do shifts on days I'm available rather than purely PPI - it would also be a more attractive proposition for earnings as there is always less content in the daytimes.

OP posts:
RiverSkater · 06/04/2022 17:25

I saw that too @Adelais but can't commit to all those hours in the day, just some of them.

Spirogyra · 06/04/2022 18:18

@Adelias, ooh that's a possibility, the message was so vague it certainly gave nothing away! I applied for it but have heard nothing.

@Riverskater I'm not in bespoke but think it was moved there, I remember a complaint on slack that some photos including nudity had got through, so expect they wanted to limit it to more experienced people. We shouldn't really name clients though.
I have realised recently that a fairly large client which had lots of separate accounts has disappeared, disappointed as I used to find some of the comments quite interesting.

Spirogyra · 06/04/2022 18:21

Sorry mispelt @Adelais, in the above message

Adelais · 06/04/2022 18:35

I applied too, I can work during those hours but obviously not 8 hours in a row! It definitely feels like they’re about to announce a big change. I don’t believe that the dashboard is not working by accident.

Redcrayons · 06/04/2022 20:09

I applied for the shifts but have never heard back from them before so don’t expect to now either.

It baffles me they way they operate. Surely they realise nobody wants to sit there earning £2 an hour. If they want more people on during the day, then pay a higher rate to make it worth it.
I haven’t noticed any big names clients disappear recently, though there haven’t been any new ones for a while.

Anyone doing am*r be very careful with your review photos including the job ID. A number of people on the chat are reporting refused reimbursements due to photos and apparently you aren’t allowed to resubmit. One is £100 down Shock

Redcrayons · 07/04/2022 07:50

How awful to change the rules and not give people chance to correct.

I emailed yesterday about my missing reimbursement, but I was assuming it was past the deadline and it would appear next month. They haven’t replied so I’ll tissue a ticket. I won’t do it again it they’re not going to pay for stuff that comes from overseas. The fee doesn’t even cover it.

MarigoldMoonStone · 07/04/2022 08:34

Yes one of mine for £102 was rejected as job id not clear, it was a picture of a rug so it was took at distance to get the whole rug in, but I included other close up pictures where the id was most definitely clear. It says it’s a final decision but I have replied anyway with my other pics again. Seems very unfair when it’s an easy fix and it’s my first time submitting with job ids in the pic.

AdaShelby · 07/04/2022 08:52

Crisp are the most badly run company I've ever worked for.

That message on slack telling us off, errr okay. Create an even more toxic environment. That's a good idea. That'll really improve morale.

Sod off and fix the fucking dash

Smile
