@LemonJelly76

Hi all I did two Appen projects and all fine, auto invoice and paid (can't withdraw as under minimum but that's ok) But I'm having issues with some stuff like the news surveys, I've signed up but when I go into 'tasks' on the app it just says no tasks yet?

Also signed up to loads and loads of projects but apart from the emails to say I've registered I've not been given any work... assuming this is normal and I'll find out if I've been picked?

They email you the link to the new surveys.
MoreMoneyPlease · 13/02/2022 17:11

@animalcrossingfan2021 I did the Tide offer, haven't received any letters. What did they say?

Nepenthe · 13/02/2022 17:35

I've actually found a Utest job I can do! Why am I suddenly incredibly nervous?

Actually, I'm reading through the requirements and there are quite a lot of terms I don't understand. If I attempt it and make a mess of it, it'll hurt my rating won't it? (I am currently unrated as have never done a task for them before.) Should I decline it? I'm reading through again now, in the hope that it makes some sense and I can feel confident about attempting it.

8dpwoah · 14/02/2022 21:58

Appen playing up again? Had to clear all my cookies last time but surely not needed again after just a few days?

peabrainer · 14/02/2022 23:55

I just signed up with Tide for a business bank account (choose standard account then no charges). If anyone is looking to do this, if you use my referral code to open an account we both get £50 when you open an account. My code is Z5VEO4

Yeah mine was down last night and it's still playing up and soooo slow!
Buster27 · 15/02/2022 21:50

@8dpwoah Yup, I've been doing a lot of cookie clearing recently Hmm

Prolific is on fire this month! I've neglected it recently but just over £40 for Feb so far which is more than I usually get on it. Will probably dry up now I've said that Grin

evtheria · 16/02/2022 11:51

@animalcrossingfan2021 I also opened a Tide account, have received my bonus, but haven’t had a letter (yet!).

@rhij86

Morning all!

Up before the crack of dawn to peel some spuds so thought I'd make a start on the new thread for the month.

January was much better than I'd hoped thanks to some good referral offers and getting on to some much more regular potato work. Made a total of £643.33 broken down as follows:

Crisp: £449.10
Referrals/sign up offers: £140
Appen: £30.14
Prolific: £24.09

I'm still waiting on the £75 from Tide which I think will come some time in March.

Would absolutely love to hit 1k this month but going to aim for £800.

Happy earning everyone! Smile

Can I ask you please how long did it take you to get to that level now, months or years?
Lilifer · 16/02/2022 18:20

Could someone point me to an easy way to learn about spreadsheets? You all seem to use them here and I don't think I've ever used one in my previous jobs, and SAHM mum now since the dawn of time so need to get that skill under my belt ..

Lilifer · 16/02/2022 18:22

@Nc123

Hey, just joined this thread. I’m doing everything I can to make a bit of extra cash right now alongside my job to fund my house refurb and add to the savings pot.

I work full time, run my business on the side, write as much as I can, and have signed up to QMee and TakePartInResearch. I’m also selling everything that I think would fetch something.

I’m quite liking QMee as they let you cash out your earnings whenever you want.

Today I’ve earned £3.59 through QMee, applied for four paid online focus groups, pitched an article to a website and sold some eBay stuff.

Can I ask you what websites you can pitch articles to? I would love to start earning cash from writing?
AppleJane · 16/02/2022 19:01

Hi @Lilifer Smile

YouTube is probably your best bet for learning new stuff. Search for something like a beginners guide to Excel. But you really don't need to know too much to use one for keeping a record of earnings. They're just an easy way to total up sums!

If you're new to side earning also look at 'matched betting'. It's tax free and perfectly legal and a 'safe' way to make money from gambling.

Hi thanks for that !

No to MB though, I tried it once a few years ago and managed to LOSE £77 because I couldn't figure out how to do it right and must be one of the only people to actually LOSE money on it, i was so upset and felt so stupid to get it that wrong that I never went back to it again. I just could not get my head around all the forms and columns and what to put where, I'm usually quite intelligent in all other area of my life nuts total idiot in this area clearly

AppleJane · 16/02/2022 19:27

That's a shame @Lilifer because most people make at least £1k. Was it a long time ago? Did you use a subscription service (like profit accumulator) because they've made it easier to understand it all now and you don't have to use a spreadsheet if you use their software!

Yes it was about 3 years ago, and I did use profit accumulator 😱

I know! It's pretty much idiot proof but I still managed to balls it up, was so furious with myself for being so patently thick and yet everyone else seems to be able to make it work for them 🤔

AppleJane · 16/02/2022 19:36

Well matched betting can be a bit scary if you lose you liability! What about casino slots? I think PA does casino as does Team Profit. Slots are easier as it's mainly a matter of counting how many free ones you have then stopping Smile or even just doing the daily free games! I won £8 today and my biggest win on the free games was about £40. I'm very risk averse though. I never gamble. I like to see it as Robin Hood Grin

Snappyteabread · 16/02/2022 19:36

@Redfuzz80

Hi all!

Thanks so much for this thread. It has given me some great ideas to make some extra funds in January!

I have a few ideas, which hopefully may help some people below? Not sure if I am allowed to share referral links, so given options for non referal, but you won't get the extra bonus :(

I made about £30 from AttaPoll, which is an easy survey website to use on your phone. if you download using my link / referal, you get £0.40 to start with, and I get £20 attapoll.app/join/yzelq Use code yzelq

Download attapoll directly from your app store if you don't want the extra bonus.

I also signed up to chip, which is a saving App, where if you set up your account and keep at least £1.01 in the account for 31 days, you get £10 added as a bonus. I get £10 too if you use my referral code: CHIP-LZN489. attapoll.app/join/yzelq

Again download directly from the app store, but you won't get any bonus.

Finally if you download SumUp app and fill in your details, you get an instant £10. It's an App that businesses use for requesting payments, but customers can get it to and get the free £10!

www.sumup.io/download/

Any questions, I will be happy to help!

I downloaded Sumup but doesn't seem to be any mention of the £10. How do I get this?
danorak · 16/02/2022 21:35

Following and place marking!

I was wondering if anyone could help though.

I can't find anywhere on Crisp that allows sign up - and what's 'potato'?! Is this something I can sign up to?

Tinging · 16/02/2022 22:40

@danorak crisp and potato are the same thing. Can’t help with sign up though sorry, I passed the test first time about 2.5 years ago and never heard from them again!

rhij86 · 17/02/2022 09:59

Has anyone been paid by Crisp yet?

OP posts:
Buster27 · 17/02/2022 10:35

@danorak crispthinking.typeform.com/to/fSclfS?typeform-source=www.crispthinking.com should take you to the test to apply Smile

@rhij86 I haven't yet (I get paid via bank transfer though). I've recently been added in for shifts too, seems good so far!

rhij86 · 17/02/2022 10:43

@buster27 thanks! I've been added to shifts too, enjoying it so far! I changed to bank transfer this month as I didn't want paypal taking fees now I'm earning a decent amount from them!

There was a problem with my invoice initially which I fixed on Monday and haven't heard anything since, was just wondering if there was another issue but sounds like it's just a case of waiting!

OP posts:
Buster27 · 17/02/2022 11:08

@rhij86 My payment has actually just come in, I submitted my invoice on Saturday.

rhij86 · 17/02/2022 11:12

@buster27 oh fingers crossed it's some time today then for me too :)
