Morning all!

Up before the crack of dawn to peel some spuds so thought I'd make a start on the new thread for the month.

January was much better than I'd hoped thanks to some good referral offers and getting on to some much more regular potato work. Made a total of £643.33 broken down as follows:

Crisp: £449.10
Referrals/sign up offers: £140
Appen: £30.14
Prolific: £24.09

I'm still waiting on the £75 from Tide which I think will come some time in March.

Would absolutely love to hit 1k this month but going to aim for £800.

Happy earning everyone! Smile

ruralwanderer · 01/02/2022 07:25

Thank you for the new thread @rhij86 and congratulations on your totals. My earning has been pretty abysmal this month (£32 on Crisp, just shy of $30 on Appen and about £30 on Prolific) as we've been lambing so not much opportunity to sit in front of the computer. Almost done though so I'm aiming for £250 this month then from next month, my youngest will be doing two full days a week at preschool so I'll be looking to make £500 a month from then on in. Writing this out now to hold myself accountable!

scottishtab · 01/02/2022 07:35

Hi there - trying to find how I can sign up for Crisp but it isn't clear? Apologies if I'm being daft!

PigeonPigPie · 01/02/2022 07:42

Morning everyone Smile
January was my first month trying to make some extra money and it was a success!

£10.80 Ohmydosh
£3.60 Attapoll
£10 Branded surveys
£75 vinted profits
£130 bank switch
£65 matched betting
~£10 pending from Appen
2 free simply cook boxes (usually £10 each)

Agreed with DH we will aim to get a cosy new sofa with our profits (we are sharing the MB labour) so good motivation to keep it going!

rhij86 · 01/02/2022 08:04

@scottishtab if you sign up for Crisp Thinking (link in original post) there's a qualification test. You need to either get 18 or 19 to pass - but you can take it as many times as you like.
Once you pass you'll get put on a waiting list. Not sure what the wait time currently is (other than long) - I passed in Sept 2019 and got given a spot and ready to work in November 2020.

I passes mine January 2020 and I'm still waiting!

Redfuzz80 · 01/02/2022 10:37

Hi all!

Thanks so much for this thread. It has given me some great ideas to make some extra funds in January!

I have a few ideas, which hopefully may help some people below? Not sure if I am allowed to share referral links, so given options for non referal, but you won't get the extra bonus :(

I made about £30 from AttaPoll, which is an easy survey website to use on your phone. if you download using my link / referal, you get £0.40 to start with, and I get £20 attapoll.app/join/yzelq Use code yzelq

Download attapoll directly from your app store if you don't want the extra bonus.

I also signed up to chip, which is a saving App, where if you set up your account and keep at least £1.01 in the account for 31 days, you get £10 added as a bonus. I get £10 too if you use my referral code: CHIP-LZN489. attapoll.app/join/yzelq

Again download directly from the app store, but you won't get any bonus.

Finally if you download SumUp app and fill in your details, you get an instant £10. It's an App that businesses use for requesting payments, but customers can get it to and get the free £10!

www.sumup.io/download/

Any questions, I will be happy to help!

Redfuzz80 · 01/02/2022 10:39

Ugh with Attapoll i meant I get £0.20, not £20! I wish! :-p

YonderTweek · 01/02/2022 11:05

Thanks for the new thread, and congrats on your January totals everyone! Smile

I had a crap month and I only made about $150, which is a lot less than the almost $2000 that I had made in the previous couple of months. Hmm Hoping something will come up in February! I'm starting to think that I should try and do the Potato test again because I passed in 2020 but haven't heard anything back. Haha.

chocciechocface · 01/02/2022 11:37

Hi there

My January earned me £28 (all Prolific). I'm very keen to do much much better this month because there's a course I'm dying to do and need to raise money to pay for it.

I'm on the waiting list for potato peeling.

I simply cannot get going with Appen. I've now applied for 8 projects. I got an email yesterday saying I was accepted for one, but can't see anything when I log into Appen connect to get me going. I'm also having problems getting part the form for some of them - it won't accept my birthdate. Any ideas about what's going on here?

whysotriggered · 01/02/2022 13:40

place marking

I think it took me 18 months plus to get on Crisp. From what I can tell, the numbers working remain quite steady so I suspect they recruit when people leave or are thrown off.

Februarycat · 01/02/2022 13:52

I passed Crisp in May 2020 and still not heard anything

justalittlebitextra · 01/02/2022 16:13

@chocciechocface apologies if you have already thought of this, but have tried you putting your DOB in the American way (MM/DD/YYYY) rather than the British way - Appen is an American company.

It took me ages (and a fair amount of guesswork) to get any regular work with Appen - it's not the most intuitive site.

I've had an ok month - £100 with various survey sites and c£300 with Appen. Just waiting to see if my oustanding new surveys get added tomorrow before I submit.

chocciechocface · 01/02/2022 16:51

I've tried every format possible. Nothing works. The date picker seems to want it in YYYY-MM-DD . I've tried on my laptop and iPad. I don't understand it because you all must be able to get past it.

Checking in! January has been pretty good, £40 from WWW (finding it really hard to get time where it's quiet and I've got two hands to be able to type properly!) And my Appen invoice is at about $550 if my missing surveys turn up on it. Oh and £10 from the sumup offer that was shared on the last thread, keeping my eyes peeled for my Tide bonus too!

I'm having a tough time with Y* on App but sticking with it in the hope I won't get booted off for being rubbish...

8dpwoah · 01/02/2022 17:57

Although....is Appen down at the moment?! Trying to get in to check my invoice and no joy...

8dpwoah · 01/02/2022 17:58

Scrap that, we're in. And so are my missing surveys 🙌

Catatemyhomework · 01/02/2022 23:22

@8dpwoah, join the club with Yun. My last month's review was not good. Weird though, did better the previous month when I was new and had even less of a clue! 😭
January has been ok as I plod along with Yu
n. Hoping I don't get the boot too! Should get around £700 once I get appen and telus payments in Feb. Although not done much on telus. It's been weird with strange jobs lately!
Did some voice recordings for Teamai and waiting for that money.
Got invited for 2 Malta projects on Appen. Si*sand Pad*n and failed both exams. Not sure whether to apply for SC v 2. Can't bear the thought of all the studying involved and then failing! 😱
Welcome to all newbies. You'll get there with appen. Just takes time to get a lucky break! 🍀

rhij86 · 02/02/2022 04:15

@Catatemyhomework I failed both those tests too, and was partially relieved. I would have done the work (need the money) but it seemed very Confused Hmm ... can't explain it.

Well done on the Y**on work.. keep going!

TheHumanFund · 02/02/2022 10:13

Has anyone received the email about ending A**r? I'm gutted but had a good run doing it for a year 😥

Catatemyhomework · 02/02/2022 10:55

@rhij86, Yes I know what you mean about the tests. I wasted so much time on them too Sad.
Thanks for starting the new thread BTW! Smile

evtheria · 02/02/2022 12:31

Thank you for new thread, @rhij86

My (slow) January total £101
£32 - surveys
£49 - potatoes
£20 - GoHenry referral
Nowhere near my best months, but to be frank I just didn’t do the work this Jan. Did make an effort to join more survey companies, and I’m def satisfied with Attapoll as it’s the second month running at approx £30 (even though I was screened out way more than Dec!)
Goal for Feb:
At least £100 with potatoes, £30 on various surveys, and eBay to offer me £1 fees 🙏, please!

Themadcatparade · 02/02/2022 12:40

Hello everyone!

I made a tenner on Appen just doing surveys and got my first invoice though thanks to you guys!

I’ve been accepted for the cr***y project, has anyone ever worked this?

Thanks!
