I'm on the phone waiting to see if there's an update for me - I really didn't want to start this year with this hanging over me and I was determined to not call again and just wait for a letter but all your good news has made me curious to what they'll decide about me!!

Currently on hold while 'Michael' looks at my notes 😳

AngryBird2015 · 06/01/2016 16:32

Let's hope we won't be, but I for sure will be keeping track of all my documents as of now so I don't need to run around like a headless chicken stressing again.

UPDATE ON MY CASE:

GOOD news.

Got home from work to find a letter dated 23rd dec requesting all my bills again excluding Gas bill.

Where is my mobile, net, Electric, water, sewage bills gone ??? Data protection act if they have lost them. They where in the envelop to.

Asked me to send Council Tax yes this is True I received that over xmas as first one went astray in post to me.

The letter requested all info needed by 6th Jan. Well today is 06th Jan.

First off they gave me a 2 week extension :)

I advised I would post Council tax 1st class tomorrow. But didn't have other bills as they have them.

Advisor went to look at things, to see if he could sort the claim there and then for me.

On hold, I dropped phone and cut off call. doh

I called back and women answered she said couldn't transfer me. so started all over again. She told me they wouldn't ask for car insurance. well its here in black and white. I said about data protection act for loosing my documents. I asked can she deal with claim now. She said she couldn't with out council tax bill. She told I should have received my documents back. I mentioned again its taken 2 weeks for me to receive this letter. Fortunately The male called back so I swapped back to him.

He advised me he could close the investigation with info they had and to disregard last letter. I have name and time and his sending me a confirmation letter. Hopefully this will come quickly and I might even receive my paperwork back.

Wish you all the same Luck. Hopefully if you call You will get the guy I did.
I'm not going to worry about my documents and data protection all my account numbers well last 3 where removed. I just want confirmation letter

JBEM4 · 06/01/2016 16:40

Guess what! No update Sad
Michael told me he can't understand why it's taken so long, has friends in the decision making team and will ask them to take a look at my case asap to finalise it.

Arghhhhhhh!!
Congrats to all you ladies who've had their cases closed x

nikkileighxox123 · 06/01/2016 17:20

My deadline was the 4th January for the requested info for the third time (most of which they had received previously)

I haven't had a decision letter yet, do you all think I should phone in the morning to see if there's been a decision made?

It's been 17 weeks since the first letter they sent me and the date they stopped the child tax for both my kids. Seems I'm getting the run around more then most as they usually tell me I have to wait & they can't close the case over the phone etc xx

Luckymum82 · 06/01/2016 17:21

Can I ask when your deadlines were? Mine was the 9th Dec and I've still not heard back or had any of my docs returned. I want to call but if I'm completely honest I'm too scared! I sent bank statements, council tax, but utility bills as well as proof of my ex's new address - he was using mine for post as he was homeless. I'm so nervous that I'm not gonna be able to pay nursery long term if they stop payments. I've been sitting up til the early hours to check my weekly payments have gone in. Making myself ill with worry 🙁

Haggis48 · 06/01/2016 17:22

JBEM4 It must be so frustrating!! hopefully not too long now for your decision - good luck x

Haggis48 · 06/01/2016 17:25

Nicki I would hunni - think they are open until 8pm xx

My date was 4th Dec lucky - don't think u have anything to worry about x

AngryBird2015 · 06/01/2016 17:29

Lucky mum my deadline was Dec 12. I sent my info special delivery on the 1st Dec.

Luckymum82 · 06/01/2016 17:35

I'm usually rubbish at keeping bills etc in a safe place. For 2016 I'm making a tax credit folder...

Password9 · 07/01/2016 12:57

Id say keep ringing till you get to speak to someone who can make a decision

LeeanneK · 08/01/2016 21:05

I am in the same boat as you my ctc stopped on Sept 1 because the never got the first set of docs had to send them again was told 42 days then when that was up was told no time frame was asked for more info in December which has been on their system since 17th Dec then told on Monday it would be done this week to be told today I just have to wait I have no idea how the can do this to folk I care for my mum full time and have a 16m and 10yo what are we supposed to do I went to cab but need to go back the docs wee not on the system yet the last time I was in its brutal anyone got any advice on dealing with them ?? Xx

LeeanneK · 08/01/2016 21:07

Can u just say I was told by a adviser that they can look at cases on the phone I'd it's not a mandatory reconsideration hope that helps x

Luckymum82 · 11/01/2016 12:47

Well I finally plucked up the courage to call today and was told they had sent the 'more information' letter on the 7th Jan. They were querying the payments I make to my ex which I explained. The guy accepted my explanation over the phone and told me he would close the case tonight so I've to wait 48hrs and then update my childcare with tax credits. I have taken a screen shot of the call log from my phone and made notes of the call handlers name. Hopefully that will be me sorted...until the next letter drops through. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear, I hope it's a positive outcome for you all. xx

JBEM4 · 11/01/2016 18:06

Update - called them this morning, no update so nice gentleman spoke to the decisions team who said they'd look at it today and call me.

Looked at my phone and realised I'd missed a call this afternoon. Called them and was told they need MORE information!!!

They're now querying a savings account I have - basically I have a service called 'save the change' on my current account. Every time I make a debit card payment they round it up to the nearest pound and put that amount into my saving account. I let it build up and then transfer it (small amounts) into my current account .... Nothing to hide there and printing out the statements as I update you all but flipping heck!!!! Am I being paranoid or are they trying to catch me out. She also said they're querying payments from my (ex) husband which has been explained over the phone and put in my covering letter several times ....

It's no wonder my stress related slope is is in action again 😢

JBEM4 · 11/01/2016 18:12

*alopecia not slope Shock

Password9 · 12/01/2016 16:44

I got my Paper work back and everything was there. Even though said They didnt have it arghhh! still awaiting confirmation letter

cookiebaby07 · 12/01/2016 22:46

Hi am new to this just joined tonight.Had my letter on 11th December to say they had reason to believe my ex was living here.Weve been split up for 5 years and he's never spent a night here since. He visits to pick up our twin boys who are 9.I work really hard and struggle like most of us to bring my boys up.The letter panicked me but never the less have done nothing wrong and sent all my documents in.Also my lovely friend happens to be a solicitor wrote a fantastic cover letter.I have had no word and today have seen no money has gone into my account. After reading stories I am now stressed to the hilt. Will make calls 2mrw but don't think I will sleep tonight. Can we not take this further it's an outrage.

Hawaiiturtle101 · 13/01/2016 08:48

They shouldn't stop money unless you've missed the deadline or not complied. .its so unfair. I hope you get some joy today a d at least be told why your money has been stopped.

cookiebaby07 · 13/01/2016 20:08

No joy been told systems were down so they couldn't access any information.Another night wondering what's going on.Can they really do this x

AngryBird2015 · 13/01/2016 21:12

Finally got my case closed letter. I feel so relieved. Even knowing you have nothing to hide, You feel so guilty being investigated and knowing strangers have all your personal documents.

Luckymum82 · 13/01/2016 21:46

Even though I've been told verbally my case is closed I'm still gonna sit up tonight to make sure my money goes in 😐

AngryBird2015 · 13/01/2016 22:10

Really hope it does for u luckymum. All this stress is no good for everyone! My letter was dated 30th Dec, which they told me. So took two weeks to arrive.

Luckymum82 · 13/01/2016 22:29

He told me on phone more info letter was sent on the 7th, but I called before I received it and he accepted my information verbally. He said he'd close it that night (Monday) and it would take 48hrs to update. Gonna call tax credits helpline tomorrow to make sure. Fingers crossed! X

JBEM4 · 14/01/2016 05:54

Really pleased for all this who've had their cases closed.

Not sure why they're still on a fishing expedition with me ... At least my payments are still going in though 😕
