so here we are on part three, let this one be fun of happy news.....

OP posts:
altagloria · 27/02/2009 14:57

Gracie that is good news.

Hope both you and MummyLovesSadie have a good time when you come up here to Edinburgh... nice this time of year!

altagloria · 27/02/2009 15:09

4ever xposts. Thanks, bleeding/pain is definitely more today (but not too bad) so I really hope it's going to be over soon. The last thing I want is for it to drag on through next week, feel I can't start getting over it until it actually happens properly. This is crap.

You're dealing with the pregnant colleague well, it must be very difficult. There seem to be pregnant women and buggies everywhere at the moment

Don't blame you for how you feel about your friend. It's devastating whenever it happens but makes sense that the longer you think you are pregnant and are making plans and imagining the future, the more you have to lose.

MummyLovesSadie · 27/02/2009 17:42

4ever thanks for the info on retained product.... very interesting. Did you ask for a scan after your af or did they call you in? I have a strange 6th sense feeling that I'm not going to pass mine naturally & if I don't I want it to be taken out of me asap.

littlebellsmum · 27/02/2009 22:30

Evening ladies - Just wanted to say hello!. Alta - after 3 weeks(!), I think I have finally stopped bleeding ( the last week has been very mild though) but the pain basically stopped after a couple of days.

Thanks all for your support this week - I'm feeling much happier than on Monday.

But how is it that my world is full of babies at the mo - picking up ds from nursery , got to meet his friends newborn brother and even at work, at a seminar, the speaker had to show a picture of his two week old daughter! At least the couple of babies I saw today, were at least a couple of months old...

anniecam38 · 01/03/2009 16:54

Hows everone doing today? Hope the ladies who are going through a mc at the moment arent having too much of a rough time-healing thoughts with you.
Hope everone else doing OK emotionally, its those bloody hormones which are the hardest to deal with, thinking we are fine one minute and then bursting into tears with often no warning.
AF has arrived now for me, first one after MC, and it has arrived with a vengeance, am currently in bed with a hot water bottle and a couple of paracetamol, i normally have relatively pain free AF, so this is a bit of a shock to the system, the cats have decided to come to bed with me.. must be the lure of the hot water bottle which has tempted them.
Bye for now X

mermaidspurse · 01/03/2009 19:20

annie sounds like you are in the best place poor you - but af is another step on the way to healing. Mine was far more crampy too.
altagloria hope you and your lovely dh are ok, thinking of you.x
littlebell glad also that your body is getting back to normal. I have been baby dodgeing all weekend too and 2 new announcements as well 'oh how lovvvely for you'
4ever how well you have done with collegues and maternity clothes. Amazing.
My new bathroom is nearly finished, dh walking round doing an impression of a puffed up peacock but it has been a year(ish) in the making....enjoy your evenings.

littlebellsmum · 01/03/2009 21:12

It's been a bit quiet over the weekend - hope everyone's OK? Hopefully having some fun and something to smile about?
I spent all of last night making my DS a lunar Jim cake for his party - it was well worth it to see the smile on his face when he saw it!
Annie - I think you're right it's the hormonnes and just odd comments that spark off sad thoughts. Yesterday, I was chatting to my brother who has a new baby and he was saying what a great car seat he had "but, I don't know why I'm telling you as your not in the market for a car seat " So true little brother, so true!

gigglewitch · 01/03/2009 23:43

spot on littlebelles, Grrrr at bloody hormones. I have my last scan (I hope) first thing tomorrow, hopefully as this is 3 wks after mc they will decide everything's ok. in some ways am dreading it. don't want to keep having it brought up and having to go over and over the dates and everything.

4everhopeful · 02/03/2009 11:13

Morning MLS sorry not been on since fri, re retained product; I went to EPU walk in as had bad clotting & pain a week after erpc and had scan which showed ret product, advised could wait, just light spotting and no pain, had AF 3 weeks later, hoped had passed, went back to walk in, and it hadnt, arranged the erpc 3 days later. Think its all down to you to push for it hon. I had 6 weeks of bleeding and like i said felt held ransom by my own body so make sure you push for what you want...

Waves hellos to mermaid giggle annie littlebells and any other I missed...

Well, my NK test results were normal, shock and horror! . Totally expected that - so £200 down the drain! Prayer alone is what we shall use now!

Also, expected first AF on fri, was 28 days from erpc, and last few like clockwork. However no show yet? Really wanted to get it out the way and enjoy & induldge on hol! Debating whether to test later? I posted on other thread and just said, tbh, done EVERYTHING right last PGs so am tempted to say sod it - eat, drink and be merry next time and if it works it works! Typical, getting PG with no AF between happened to my SIL and was aching for it to happen to me, but NOT this time cos want my hol to recover! Anyway - all speculative - will keep you posted! xxxxxxx

mermaidspurse · 02/03/2009 13:04

4ever ohhhhh.....interesting..... do you feel af ish? you did have lots ofs last week...
double pants to the NK test, is that it, no more tests you can have?
lovely day, I am feeling okish.

4everhopeful · 02/03/2009 14:20

Hey mermaid glad you are having a good one! I just dont know, Iv felt v just before finding out PG as well, all symptoms quite similar to pmt really so I have no idea right now! As for more tests, none my cons recommends as not scientifically proven.. Said can go Harley st and spend a fortune for nothing thats conclusive... Oh well. Que sara...

mermaidspurse · 02/03/2009 14:36

triple pants then, you must have more tests to come back though I'm confused cos its Monday, I cant remember if you had all the others done after loNo.3 - and yes the
symptoms are very close hence all our obsessions. This is a very long rollercoaster. Dancing on the table it is then with a vodka and tonic and 34 honey is no age at all!

4everhopeful · 02/03/2009 15:32

Nope, all tests done after no 3 on NHS tests
There really is no more I dont care how many times we have to through this now, we will just keep going til we get our baby! She says obsessively!

Yes never worried about age before all this, now I'm thinking 'well I have at least 9 yrs to do this!'

Whether AF arrives or its onwards with no 5, I'm blummin well enjoyin my hoiday no matter what! Bring on the table dancing!

mermaidspurse · 02/03/2009 17:17

4ever I expect you have samba'd off home by now. 9 years? mn will kick us off! seriously though things are going to be ok and if all the tests are clear its one less thing to worry about which as we all know means a lot at 3 in the morning.
altaglora hope you are as ok as can be.

altagloria · 02/03/2009 18:47

Hi everyone

Seems to be a good day on here particularly 4ever who is well in a holiday mood I don't know whether to hope for your AF or not... either way may your hols consist almost entirely of table dancing and lurid umbrella-laden cocktails.

Thanks for thinking of me mermaid, doing ok today. I bought the Lesley Regan book online last week and it's just arrived so am going to look for consolation in that (though have found loads on here too).

Bit confused cos that's 7 days now of light bleeding and nothing has looked like the 'products of conception' or even close. Hopefully my second scan next Monday will show it's gone and I can think about starting again, which is really the only thought that's cheering me up at the moment.

mermaidspurse · 02/03/2009 20:49

altagloria nice to see you/
my mc have been brief spotting and then more hectic fairly quickly - dont you just love those medical terms. I was asked last time what I wanted them to call my lo which was much better. You dont sound like you are in pain? so hopefully your body is just going slowly along. The thought of getting back to normal is a good thought to hold onto, you have been really strong.
hope everyone is okx

gigglewitch · 02/03/2009 22:29

hey ho, glad to hear a bit of happy posting going on here

Well had a scan this morning, aparently 'everything' hasn't gone even though the bleeding has stopped. Am baffled. They also reckon I've got an infection and have sent swabs off, and given me antibiotics. oh - and another two weeks off work

Anyone got anything to enlighten me, I've only had 'complete' mcs and one ERPC previously.

altagloria · 03/03/2009 07:52

Oh no gigglewitch poor you. I can't enlighten you from personal experience (though it may come to that for me yet as I'm not done) but in my mc crash course this week I have read about that happening.

I think it can just get a bit stuck sometimes, for no particular reason. Then there is obviously a risk of infection because it's been there a while. You might need an ERPC or medical management? Don't take that as gospel, just not sure how else they would make sure that 'everything' has gone.

Have they given you another appointment? Keep us updated...

4everhopeful · 03/03/2009 09:25

Oooh alta and giggle my heart goes out to you, as I've posted above, I had retained product & needed another erpc in the end. Read above and push for erpc to give you closure.. Obviously depends how much is left, but personally I just needed it over.

Morning to mermaid and mls!

Well did a -ive test last night.. Silly really as wanted to do my hols and table dancing guilt free!! Half thought I was PG again already, so bit sad and dissapointed when no line appeared! Now I just need blummin AF to hurry up and get out the way before we leave this time next week!

Its my birthday tomorrow so daresay she'll arive then, I can handle that but not on our much needed hol consisting of table and baby dancing!!!!

mermaidspurse · 03/03/2009 10:25

giggle you must be feeling awful, its like going back two squares and missing a go. surely they will book you in now?? Rest lots cos antibiotics make you feel yuk and your poor body must be knackered.
altagloria crash course is right Hope you are as ok as possible today.
4ever I was hoping you were too sweetie. Still you can table dance and pinch waiters bums now and not feel too guilty. Hope you are doing something nice for your birthday.
Right off to the gym.

4everhopeful · 03/03/2009 10:52

Oooh well done you mermaid being a gym bunny! My poor flabby tummy needs help! Had washboard stomach before all this, now nearly 2 stone later I have proper muffin top! Iv said before, my uterus is like a bit of overwashed stretched lycra now! TMI! More and yea, its crap -ive, but onwards with table dancing, drunken brits abroad and only DHs bum pinching! . Birthday will just be visting parents & couple of mates and a nice chinese restaurant.. A lowkey affair! x

mermaidspurse · 03/03/2009 11:46

ha boiled bunny more like. Have decided lots and lots of water, extra lots of fresh fruit more water and butter is banned Plus its making me feel a bit better and cant keep walking around feeling so prickly. 2 stone is about right for me too. gulp.
Your birthday plans sound good, mines at the end of the month, last one was a biggy so will go low key this year. Right work.

gigglewitch · 03/03/2009 14:30

mermaids lol @ boiled bunny Hang up that spiky coat and enjoy being a gym bunny, a step at a time eh?
alta crash course it certainly is. what's confusing is even if you think been there got the book/t-shirt/badge, then it can still make you like with another random version of the whole blardy thing - just in case you thought you knew what was what...
4ever, go and have a blast on that hols, you really really need a break and a bit of fun. love the table-dancing & baby-dancing - just maybe not both at the same time
anniecam, hope you're feeling better by today, and mls I really hope you feel a bit further along this dreadful path, are you in a position to 'shop around' for local hospitals? I did after insensitive treatment in one place, moved to another hosp with a good rep for understanding mcs and they were fantastic, there was a 'sad face' sticker on the front of my notes and everything Just now re 'incomplete' mc, it sounds an awful lot like we're in a similar place?
GG - hope you had a lovely weekend
littlebells you'll soon develop rhino skin (with prickles) and selective hearing Know whatcha mean though. sodding babies all over the place.
anyone I've missed, sorry - and keep posting. It helps.

Just wanted to say, thank you all for your support, I know it's a cliche but nobody else understands.

4everhopeful · 03/03/2009 15:38

Ahh just a quick one - but have to say bless you to giggle, and the support is a pleasure, its therepeutic for us all to give something back and feel not so helpless in all this.. x

Just a post to say AF is here! First one since Dec... OOOOOOWWWWWWWWW!

Mermaid did you notice they are really painful and heavy now? Never used to be this bad, 4mc & erpc later tho and I'm bent double, going home to dose up on co dydramol left from last erpc....

mermaidspurse · 03/03/2009 18:04

4ever yeah you will go to the ball!
Yes my first af after this mc was just how I remember them from when I first started afs. Very heavy crampy and generally old af wearing a party frock with laddered fishnets having forgotten where she lived
giggle have a good evening and yes it does all help, thanks too everyone.x
