@Brokenpancreas94 that's great about stopping bleeding. Thank @somethingluscious for ovulation sticks recommendations.

ChloeN · 31/10/2022 13:52

@Brokenpancreas94 so pleased to here your bleeding has finally stopped!! And sounds like a really good sign if your discharge is coming back🥰

Braylen · 31/10/2022 19:51

I think I'm having my 2nd miscarriage. My first was MMC, 7 weeks gestation (was meant to be 12 weeks along) , back in March. I had that one medically managed in hospital. The pain was awful but it was all over quickly. This time, I have no idea what to expect. It seems very slow onset. Started spotting Sunday morning. Only proper bleeding this evening but still light. Only very light cramping. Assuming it may get worse or take ages. Sac measuring only 4 weeks, according to epu scan this morning.

tulipsunday · 01/11/2022 07:07

I'm so sorry @Braylen how are you feeling today?

Braylen · 01/11/2022 10:14

Thank you for asking. Feeling all mixed up. In physical pain. A bit down and numb emotionally. Also thinking about the future and expecting another miscarriage if I do conceive again... Whether I can face that again... 💔

tulipsunday · 01/11/2022 20:01

Sorry you are having a rough time. Hope the pain is easing up a bit @Braylen

BlahBlah36 · 01/11/2022 20:05

So sorry @Braylen hope you’re doing ok.

I phoned the EPU to double check what time they want me in tomorrow night (surgery is Thursday morning). They’ve told me to call them tomorrow as they’re having an issue with beds at the moment.

Now I’m worried that they’re going to cancel. So fed up.

tulipsunday · 02/11/2022 11:19

@BlahBlah36 did you have any luck with the EPU? So annoying surgery availability was limited when I had my MMC too which was very frustrating. Hope it has been resolved and they can get you in tonight

BlahBlah36 · 02/11/2022 11:34

@tulipsunday I called at 10 and they said there’s no beds available at the moment but I need to call back at 3pm as they may be discharging patients. I need to drop DS off at 3.30pm so it’s going to be a chaotic afternoon!

I had it in my head that the worst would all be over this week but I have a horrible feeling it’s going to drag on and on.

tulipsunday · 02/11/2022 15:21

Will keep everything crossed for you 🤞 @BlahBlah36

BlahBlah36 · 02/11/2022 16:52

@tulipsunday thank you! I’m in hospital now, have my bed and just done some paperwork so I’m all good to go for the morning.

I have a dreadful sore throat to add insult to injury. I’m just going to plough through the next 24 hrs!

tulipsunday · 02/11/2022 18:24

Glad you got a bed hope you can rest tonight and tomorrow goes well @BlahBlah36

Hi all, looking for some advice (again :() after my surgery for my MMC I had 3 negative pregnancy tests, even did the digital ones. On Saturday I had a private scan and it was confirmed my uterus was clear and I have passed everything. I have felt sick the last 2 days so did a pregnancy test just out of curiosity. I’ve had 4 faint positives, my strip tests are negative, and my doctors just dipped my pee and also said negative.
i Had a positive ovulation test 11 days ago, so we BD’d for 2 days and have once since. If I am pregnancy it would literally be about 9 days so I didn’t think it would show up on a test yet. Has anyone experienced this after miscarriage? I’m sure my hormones were back to 0 due to the previous negatives. So confused. I’ve attached a photo of the tests. TIA

@BlahBlah36 hope your surgery goes okay today! Sending you good luck xx

Kappi · 03/11/2022 11:57

@Sophiey11 not too sure - you might get answers on a different thread to this one.
I’ve not experienced that after my previous loss- But that’s not to say someone else hasn’t. Hopefully you can get a response from someone who can offer you more insight

B1993 · 03/11/2022 12:15

Hi @Sophiey11, I've been a bit of a lurker on here since my miscarriage back in August. Slightly different circumstances to you as I was only 5 weeks so there was no medical intervention to pass the pregnancy. I tested negative towards the end of my miscarriage bleeding and, exactly 4 week after it began, I tested positive for a new pregnancy at 8DPO (days past ovulation/conception).

From the look of your tests, I'd say you're pregnant again!! First Response tests are known for being the most sensitive on the market where most cheap brands (or the ones the doctors use) won't detect a pregnancy as early as those.

I will keep my fingers firmly crossed that this is your rainbow! 🌈🌈

Sophiey11 · 03/11/2022 12:19

@Kappi thank you xx

@B1993 thank you for your lovely words. The whole miscarriage experience for me has been traumatic. It’s hard enough that we have all gone through the loss, but the hospital stay, surgery and prolonged bleeding has just made me have a negative outlook on everything. I just keep convincing myself everything is going to continue going wrong for me, so hard to get my head around these may be positive as there doesn’t seem to be much line progression over 3 days. But I guess I will have to wait and see (the hard part) thank you so much xx

Kappi · 03/11/2022 12:54

@Sophiey11 In light of @B1993 s post, that seems positive for you! Best wishes to you and take care of you in whatever way that needs to be

Phoenixwings1989 · 03/11/2022 13:26

Hello everyone,

I am a day late and I'm freaking out. My periods have been regular since I miscarried in June and yesterday I felt faint and nauseous all of a sudden. I can't face taking a test. I just can't.

Sending hugs to everybody who may need one xx

ChloeN · 03/11/2022 13:35

@Sophiey11 did you test with frer after mc and get a negative? If so I would say you’re definitely pregnant again!

Sophiey11 · 03/11/2022 13:37

Hi @ChloeN i used 2 boots own digital and a normal cheap one. All 3 were negative. I feel like there is no line progression in any of these? If anything todays looked lighter. So just worried this could be chemical, hard to get my head around I may have actually conceived xx

Sophiey11 · 03/11/2022 13:38

@Phoenixwings1989 got everything crossed for you xx

tulipsunday · 03/11/2022 14:03

@Sophiey11 they look clear positives to me - perhaps some lines were lighter as your urine was more diluted? Will keep everything crossed for you.

After thinking I hadn't ovulated I got a strong positive test yesterday so think I ovulated early 😬 excited but so scared too.

Good luck @Phoenixwings1989

BlahBlah36 · 03/11/2022 15:07

@Sophiey11 🤞🤞 for you!

@Phoenixwings1989 Good luck!

Just got home from my surgery. I had an ordeal that was nothing to do with the actual surgery.

Got there at 4pm yesterday as requested. Felt very nervous and off my food. Tried to get some sleep but it was near impossible (crunching crisps at 1am anyone?!). Then I started to feel really nauseous. By this point I was nil by mouth so asked if I could have a splash of juice as perhaps I was hungry and feeling unwell from lack of food.
HCA came back a while later to ask if it helped and as it hadn’t she could ask for anti sickness meds.

Nurse came with a tablet and an IV of fluids (worried I was dehydrated?) I lied awake waiting for it to kick in. Suddenly I felt really ill so moved to the loo, dragging my pole with only one working wheel and proceeded to have explosive D&V!

As I’d not long had the anti sickness tablet and I hadn’t actually seen it come back up hurtling at 50mph, I had to grin and bear it for the next 6 hours. I slept not a wink but did get a covid test and offer up a 💩 sample for testing.

Before she left for handover the nurse said she doubted they could do the surgery and they’d probably need to reschedule or choose a different method of treatment. I started crying, it was about 4am and just felt miserable.

However, the day shift rolled around and I waited for the news. Surgery was due 8/8.30 so by 7.50 I resigned myself to being packed home. Then the nurse came to chat about the night and I explained all the events. And she injected anti sickness meds straight in my cannula as she thought I’d definitely thrown up the tablet. Within 10 mins I felt like I could unclench every muscle. Then like buses the anaesthetist, surgeon and 2 theatre staff acting as porters arrived!

I explained again the D&V drama to the anaesthetist and she said that the surgery was extremely important and they’d work around it to get me sorted. I could have kissed her (lucky for her I refrained).

Then it was a whirlwind of signatures, getting gowned up, wheeled down and knocked out.

So, all went well, everyone’s happy and as long as I can drink, wee and eat I can go after 3 hours.

Then came the shocking twist. The 💩 test result came back and I have Norovirus! I was supposed to be quarantined but they didn’t have a side room free to put me in and instead they whisked a Doctor out of thin air to discharge me pronto.

Could have done without all the extras to be honest. (Who gets Norovirus BEFORE going to hospital?! normally catch it there! Me, that’s who 🤦‍♀️)

At home now eating some dry toast. Very light period pains and a bit of bleeding. Apologies for the long post and thank you lovely ladies for the amazing advice and support 💐

ChloeN · 03/11/2022 15:17

@Sophiey11 it’s so difficult I would be really anxious as well! When I had the chemical I just knew it wasn’t right because my lines were far too faint, whereas yours are much stronger for being so early! I suppose you could have lingering hcg enough to be picked up by the frer but not the other tests maybe?
