If you’re going through this, you’re not alone. I’ll post some links to support organisations shortly, but feel free to post, or just read, whatever you need. Flowers

@Tray66 @Sunbird24

So since around 3am I have had no bleeding at all. You cant win. I worry about bleeding too heavy, and I worry about not bleeding at all whether that means I will have retained products.. am I mad 🥺 xx

rach971 · 11/08/2022 15:33

Got back from hosp about half an hour ago after having the misopropol. Already feeling mildly crampy. Does anyone know when you pass the pregnancy sac and stuff? Is it within a few hours? Days?

Essexgalttc · 11/08/2022 15:46

@rach971 mine took 5 hours after tablets to start the bleeding and clots x

rach971 · 11/08/2022 16:15

@Essexgalttc Thank you, good to know an approx time frame.

Has anyone had diarrhea/dodgy bowels from the pain relief suppository? I've been trying not to go but I just can't hold it in. Hoping I've not passed it out but I don't know 😩

rach971 · 11/08/2022 16:35

Just stared bleeding now, just less than two hours after I was at hosp

Sunbird24 · 11/08/2022 17:51

Hope you’re ok @rach971, did they tell you what you’re allowed if you find you need more pain relief? Diarrhoea sounds like it could be a common problem as I guess the misoprostol relaxes a few different muscles down there…

@Hayley220 perfectly normal to worry! Hopefully they gave you a test so you can check to see that it goes back to negative - do that whenever they told you to as I did a couple in the first week, saw it was getting fainter and then forgot about it until my period didn’t show up! Turned out I did have a little bit retained but a second surgery sorted it right out. That’s only happened once for me though so it’s not all that common. Fingers crossed for you too!

@rarach971 yes I had that and was also sick. Rest up and take it easy x

BEL88 · 11/08/2022 18:51

@Sunbird24 my fear now is that I'd have to have a second surgery. Hospital is not a nice place to be at all :(

I got home a few hours ago after having stayed in overnight. Went straight to bed as I hardly slept.

Sunbird24 · 11/08/2022 19:04

@BEL88 i only had the second surgery because misoprostol didn’t shift it for some reason, and my body obviously doesn’t do anything the way it’s supposed to. Please don’t worry yourself about something that may never happen, just take care of yourself in the now

Thanks @Sunbird24 you are absolutely right

rach971 · 11/08/2022 19:11

@Sunbird24 They said Paracetamol and Codine I think, and Ibuprofen but I can only have that from tomorrow. I took two paracetamol earlier and it's definitely eased the feeling. Bleeding hadn't been too bad up to now, but a lot has just come out (sorry for the gory details). Quite a scary thing. I was lying in bed one minute, half asleep and then I was like oh god I need to get up 😩

@MrsU2022 Thank you so much ♥️

BEL88 · 11/08/2022 19:26

Hi @Tray66 thanks for asking after me.
It's not a group I want to be part of but the support and info has helped x

Marmite83 · 11/08/2022 19:31

@rach971 I'm so sorry you're going through this. I had diarrhoea, vomiting and bleeding all at the same time when I had medical management. I threw up 5 minutes after taking the painkillers and was told I couldn't take more because they didn't know how much had got into my system. It all calmed down once I'd passed everything though (after about 4 hours I think). All part of the reason I went for erpc the next time. I hope the worst is over for you

rach971 · 11/08/2022 19:35

I've just passed the sac and baby is there, inside its little pouch of fluid. I've put it into a little pot for now as mad as that sounds. I can't flush it. What can I do next? Heard people have had theirs tested to see if any obvious answers as to what went wrong, but that wasn't offered as an option to me

Essexgalttc · 11/08/2022 19:45

@rach971 They wouldn’t text mine either but they did cremate the sacs for me which gave me a bit of comfort xx

rach971 · 11/08/2022 21:36

Sorry to keep posting, and for the tmi. I've got a clot hanging out of me. What am I supposed to do? 😩 Why is this all so scary 😩 I don't want to pull it 😩

BEL88 · 11/08/2022 22:20

@rach971 so sorry, I don't have any advice but hope you're ok and it's over soon xx

Marmite83 · 11/08/2022 22:35

@rach971 they generally only offer testing after three losses in a row. I know people who have buried theirs under a rose bush or tree. Mine were flushed because we didn't know what else to do, my husband did it the first time without giving me an option and I was kinda mad but also relieved I didn't have to make the decision. I don't think there's a wrong decision, just what's right for you.

I don't know about the clot I'm afraid, hopefully it's come out now anyway.

rach971 · 12/08/2022 08:23

Thanks everyone ♥️ I seem to have passed everything last night and I've woke up today with no pain, so hopefully that's the worst of it over. How long did the rest of the bleeding last for you guys? Been told it can go on for a couple of weeks, just obviously milder than what happens initially

Marmite83 · 12/08/2022 09:49

@rach971 for me it was about two weeks on and off. Glad the worst of the physical pain is over for you. Hope you get some rest.

Essexgalttc · 12/08/2022 10:16

@rach971 be gentle with yourself and take it easy ❤️

MrsU2022 · 13/08/2022 11:40

I had medical management on 1st July.

Last week started having my HCG levels monitored as hadn't got a negative test yet.

Went for a scan yesterday and there's still some tissue left, so have decided to have surgery on Monday - although I had to push for it!

Feeling somewhat relieved as hoping this will sort everything and get me ready to start trying again!

Has this happened to anyone else? I've been bleeding a few days (Dr's not sure if period or not) so not sure whether to expect to bleed after procedure.

What is the recovery like after d&c?

Xx

Sunbird24 · 13/08/2022 11:49

@MrsU2022 yes, I had an ERPC in Jan with my latest MMC, then it turned out they’d missed a bit so I tried misoprostol which didn’t shift it, and ended up having surgery again in March to get the last bit. You may have some spotting for a couple of days afterwards but because it’s only a tiny bit of tissue it won’t be like a period - that’s likely to happen in a couple of weeks. Hope it goes smoothly for you Flowers
