@CurbsideProphet similar has happened to me, actually. I was still receiving automated telephone calls and texts about my 12 week scan, which we unfortunately never made it to.
I phoned a few people and they told me these appointments were cancelled already.
It’s just really upsetting.

CurbsideProphet · 15/09/2021 14:53

@Yutes 💐💐
It's extra sadness that can easily be avoided. I'm really sorry this happened to you.
My DH works for the NHS Trust we have been under for my miscarriage. He was able to raise the issue of receiving emails (about an appointment that wasn't going to take place) directly with the person responsible for the app. They were mortified and are putting safeguards in place to prevent this from happening. I hope this means other women won't receive those heartbreaking emails.

Yutes · 18/09/2021 07:38

I still feel really sad. I’m 6 weeks post medical management of a missed miscarriage. Should I/ can I still feel sad?

Sunbird24 · 18/09/2021 08:04

Of course you can still feel sad! You don’t really get over it, you just kind of get used to it, iyswim. When you have a physical wound, some people heal faster than others but the process is the same - you develop a scab (which if you’re anything like me you pick at) and that gradually heals but you’ll always have the scar as a reminder. I think miscarriage is the same but emotional rather than physical.
Be kind to yourself, there’s no should in this game and nobody can dictate your feelings Flowers

Yutes · 18/09/2021 08:47

Thank you @Sunbird24 Flowers

Tiredandobsessed · 18/09/2021 16:44

@Yutes I think I'll always be sad, I'll never forget that little baby no matter how short a time they were with me. My pregnancy & miscarriage has changed me and although you do get used to the pain it can still bloody hurt at times. Stay strong x

CurbsideProphet · 18/09/2021 21:28

@Yutes it is sad 💐 I'm 3.5 weeks post surgery / 6 weeks since I had my IVF scan and got the bad news. I've previously had an early miscarriage from natural conception and an IVF embryo fail to implant. I operate at a different level of "ok" now. I don't know. I'm functioning but find that "acting normal" take a lot of my energy.

Sunbird24 · 20/09/2021 20:22

I think AF has turned up 23 days after my MC, which is earlier than I’m used to, and I don’t have test results yet. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Bdbel · 20/09/2021 20:45

@Sunbird24 Im the same.. and it's been nearly 6 weeks! I have now been referred to recurrent miscarriage but that's not until December! Feels too long to wait. 🙁

CurbsideProphet · 21/09/2021 21:09

I'm 4 weeks post miscarriage surgery and no sign of AF. We're going for a relaxing break in 13 days so I really hope AF arrives before then 😬

Sunbird24 · 21/09/2021 21:28

@CurbsideProphet looks like yesterday was just a preview, had nothing at all today

CurbsideProphet · 22/09/2021 14:52

@Sunbird24 oh god that's unfair. I don't know about you but I just need AF to come now. The waiting is awful. I mean I don't want to be bleeding and in pain, but my I worry my poor body has forgotten which way is up.

Sunbird24 · 22/09/2021 18:02

She’s definitely playing with me, had some more spotting this morning and then nothing since! How are you supposed to know what to put down as CD1??
I hope AF makes her mind up to come and visit us both for about 4 days very soon, then you have time for her to poke off again before you go away 🤞

CurbsideProphet · 28/09/2021 20:13

How are you getting on @Sunbird24? I've got cramps and brown discharge but no AF. My hormones are flying around. I'm so grumpy. And very annoyed that AF will likely show her face next week while we're away for fresh air and walking.

Sunbird24 · 28/09/2021 20:37

@CurbsideProphet she was playing tricks, nothing since that initial spot on 2 consecutive days, but I’m sleeping really badly and eating everything in sight so she can’t be far off (I hope)
A trip away is bound to bring her on isn’t it? 🧙‍♀️ Take it you’ve not heard anything back on test results either?

CurbsideProphet · 28/09/2021 23:16

@Sunbird24 pregnancy test 3 weeks post surgery was negative. I'm going for a thrombophilia screening as I've had 2 miscarriages. I'm paying for it as the NHS only believes in ordering this blood test after 3 miscarriages.... I don't know how my mental health will cope if I have another. I'm pretty much at the brink now.
Yes a trip away is guaranteed to bring it on 😩 I'm fretting about needing to take towels to protect the hotel sheets and what to do if it's really heavy and we're on a walk not near a loo. So relaxing 🙄🤷🏻‍♀️

Sunbird24 · 28/09/2021 23:58

Have you any period pants? I swear by them these days!

CurbsideProphet · 29/09/2021 12:10

@Sunbird24 I've heard about them but I'm never sure which ones to buy. Please tell me which ones you have as it would ease my anxiety if I have them to hand if needed.
My cramps are quite bad today so it must be coming soon.

Sunbird24 · 29/09/2021 14:07

I’ve got some from Tulip and some from CheekyWipes, but Thinx, Modibodi and Wuka are all regularly recommended on here, and you can buy Wuka in Sainsbury’s.
Fingers crossed the cramps are a sign, that hopefully gives you time to get the worst out of the way…

CurbsideProphet · 29/09/2021 15:53

@Sunbird24 yes definitely coming now. It's that mix of relief and sad.
Cheeky Wipes pants look really good and reasonably priced. I don't think they would arrive before we go on Monday morning, but I'll definitely order them when I get back.

PiggyBean · 13/10/2021 21:47

Didn't think I would be joining in after posting in the pregnancy area but here I am. I had a scan yesterday after experiencing bleeding and cramps and scan showed only an irregular sac.

They I was likely miscarrying and if the bleeding continued I would pass the sac at some point. Wasn't sure what the sac would look like but when it passed I knew. Now I feel empty inside and all my other symptoms are subsiding - bloating, etc 🥺

Sunbird24 · 14/10/2021 17:57

I’m so sorry @PiggyBean, welcome to the worst gang to be in, hopefully we can help you through. 💐

PiggyBean · 14/10/2021 19:43

Thank you @Sunbird24 x

Sunbird24 · 14/10/2021 19:53

Have you got real life support? X

PiggyBean · 14/10/2021 20:36

@Sunbird24 I do. I have my DH, sister and friend 😊 it's hard though as it's was my first pregnancy 🥺
