@wag1987 yeah you can put it into an app (Fertility Friend, Fermometer, etc) and it shows it in a chart form which is the best way to view a pattern. I used Fertility Friend, I like their charts the best!

@Neady1980 I've had that quite a lot. The lower back pain is there the whole time on and off! Maybe it could be ovulation? When I ovulated my stomach goes rock hard and symptoms are pregnancy like?!

OP posts:
Neady1980 · 13/02/2021 19:46

@Ralala the only symptom I dont have is sore breasts, for the 1st time ever I'm praying my periods hurry up and arrive, its driving me mad.

@AMS19 going by my usual symptoms I ovulated 10 days ago, it was exactly like everytime I ovulated before the MC but then again I could be wrong. Just when I thought I was back to normal, this happens.

AMS19 · 13/02/2021 19:48

@Neady1980 It takes a long time for things to settle. Having you been trying and could you be pregnant if you ovulate 10 days ago?

OP posts:
Neady1980 · 13/02/2021 20:03

@AMS19 yes we did try around the time I thought I was ovulating going by my symptoms, and planned on tracking ovulation after 1st cycle now that we know I can get pregnant. That's why I'm curious if its normal to get these symptoms a week before AF as I know my body is probably still all over the place. I'm as regular as clock work but I know that things might be different after MC. I'm trying not to get my Hope's up thinking its implantation pain but agreed that we would not test till next week if AF doesnt arrive xx

AMS19 · 13/02/2021 20:07

@neady1980 I've certainly found my cycle is different this time. I've ovulated 3 days earlier, had zero ovulation pain or symptoms, and still have random lower back pain and my nipples seem dark. But in definitely not pregnant. They do say you're more fertile following a mc so have absolutely everything crossed for you!!

OP posts:
Neady1980 · 13/02/2021 20:17

@AMS19 all my symptoms completely disappeared after MC back pain the whole lot, but now I have mild lower back pain, only thing i dont have are sore breasts. I'm trying not to get my Hope's up

AMS19 · 13/02/2021 20:58

@Neady1980 totally understand its the best way ❤

Morning all, hope everyone is ok this valentines

This might be such a stupid question but need to ask. Can you get a positive ovulation test strip if still HCG in your system? I am 11 days post D&C and for some reason I did pregnancy test this morning and thought il do ovulation test too and on P test very very faint line and on ovulation test a lot clearer. I have attached photo. I am assuming the ovulation test is only showing positive because maybe still have pregnancy hormones rather than actually ovulating

Anyone else had this?

wag1987 · 14/02/2021 09:33

To follow on I've not dtd since D&C as need to wait at least 2 weeks

AMS19 · 14/02/2021 09:52

Hi @wag1987 absolutely you can! In fact, OPks can be slightly more sensitive to HCG and pick up pregnancies first. My OPKs were very dark up until about 5 weeks post MVA!! So really pretty helpless until you have no HCG left in your system I'm afraid xx

OP posts:
Ralala · 14/02/2021 09:52

@wag1987 hello, I’m sure an opk will pick up hcg also. I have heard of people testing with an opk as they had no pregnancy tests in and getting positives and it wasn’t ovulation but actually pregnancy.... I may be wrong though!

AMS19 · 14/02/2021 10:21

Happy Valentines day ladies. Not the one any of us imagined but hopefully the last one not pregnant or not holding our rainbow babies ❤

A great start to the day for me. FRER finally went negative this morning (hadn't tested in 10 days so could have been a while ago) and another temp rise confirmed ovulation for Thursday. I'm not holding out loads of hope of falling this cycle but just so pleased to finally be totally free of the last pregnancy and miscarriage xx

Hi Ladies,

I just went through my second miscarriage, we started trying in Jan 2020, fell pregnant in February, which ended in MC in April at 8weeks, it was such a traumatic experience as the whole world was going into lockdown and my Hubby and I were isolated from family as working overseas. Fast forward to January 2021 and we are blessed with another, but sadly has just ended in MC. I feel a little bit stronger this time as we have family and friends around, but I feel so helpless and scared for the next time. Going to speak to my GP about solutions. I have a feeling it could be my progesterone levels as my periods are quite light, start with spotting, then only 2-3 days of flow. Also range between 22-26 cycles. Has anyone has success with keeping their pregnancy once put on progesterone or anything else?

Sorry we are all here, love to all xx

PlantMummy87 · 14/02/2021 10:54

@AMS19 so glad to hear about your FRER finally being negative. I was also waiting for awhile for mine to be negative and tested on Thursday (8 weeks post MC) and it finally was negative, like you I hadn't tested in about 10 days as I just couldn't take it coming back still positive. Glad you've also been able to confirm ovulation too. My temp rise today has confirmed ovulation for Wednesday, so on very similar dpo now, but also not holding out too much hope, just glad that if a new cycle does come along at least this time I won't be doing LH and hCG tests together and will hopefully ovulate at a more normal cd for me.

@Jujujuberry I'm so sorry to hear of your miscarriages. That must have been so hard to have gone through that as the world was completely crazy and to go through it again now. It sounds like speaking to your GP is a good idea so you can get answers to the concerns you have. Sending you lots of love xx

AMS19 · 14/02/2021 12:03

@Jujujuberry I'm so so sorry. Its just so awful. A couple of ladies have been through it twice (but also had babies too!). Definitely worth getting your progesterone levels checked. Your periods don't sound abnormal, mine are very very light and only 2-3 days. But your cycle does sound short. Do you track ovulation? If so, how long is your LP?

@PlantMummy87 great news. I'm so pleased for both of us. I'm definitely trying to take the positives of things being back to normal and ovulating. And I'm going to trust my body now to wait for the perfect egg and perfect sperm. I've got everything crossed for both of us ❤❤

Great news @AMS19 good luck for this lovely, fresh cycle.
AF got me yesterday, bang on 28 day cycle so as is usual once it hits I'm hopeful for the next cycle. Plus is better to not be pregnant until all the tests are complete for the recurrent miscarriage investigations.

Still hoping that next Valentine's Day there will be another little baby either in my arms or tummy ❤️

AMS19 · 14/02/2021 13:34

Sorry @glowingtwig as you say, lots of positives. Can get your tests done which if nothing else may help mentally. 28 days is a lovely cycle length, so great for you going forward. For faith for all of us x

Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you lovely ladies in my phone ❤️

SuzieDeLaTour · 14/02/2021 20:31

Happy Valentine’s Day ladies! Definitely not the one we had expected for but I hope you all got spoilt rotten today ❤️
@AMS19 that’s fab news your FRER was finally negative! Must have been such a relief for you to finally see a stark white test 😀
@PlantMummy87 also great news about your negative test. Who would have thought we would get so excited about a negative pregnancy test!? 😀
@Jujujuberry I’m so sorry to hear you’ve suffered your second miscarriage. Like you I’ve also experienced two and it does seem so unfair that it’s happened a second time. My first was in 2018 and I went on to have a lovely baby boy so there is hope! I’m glad you have your family closer this time around, it must have been very difficult feeling so isolated last time. Do speak to your GP and perhaps see if you can speak to a consultant at your EPU? My first miscarriage was put down to sheer bad luck (chromosomal issue) so wasn’t prescribed progesterone but I will definitely be asking my doctor this time around. Sending you virtual hugs xx

SuzieDeLaTour · 14/02/2021 20:33

@glowingtwig oh I hope so too ❤️❤️ Like @AMS19 said, it’s great you’re bang on a 28 day cycle and hopefully you get some answers soon and can go into your next pregnancy feeling more reassured and with any help or advice you might need x

Seasalt1984 · 14/02/2021 20:46

Happy V Day ladies ❤

@jujujuberry I'm so sorry for your loss. Sending love and hugs, it's such a horrible thing to go through.

@AMS19 that's really positive news, moving in the right direction every day.

I was expecting to ovulate today and I haven't and feeling a bit deflated. Had some EWCM so not quite sure what's occurring. Obviously gone into Google overdrive looking for explanations...but guess I really just need to hold on a few more days to see what happens! eek

Ralala · 14/02/2021 21:03

So I’m cd28 and some browny spotting this afternoon. I’m usually a 31 day cycle and I absolutely expected my first AF to be late as opposed to potentially early! I just hope for my poor hubby that AF arrives properly soon as my PMS is epic ! It’s like every physical and emotional sensor in me is in overdrive 🥴😂

glowingtwig · 14/02/2021 21:20

Happy Valentine's ladies ❤️ hope you've all had a nice day.

@SuzieDeLaTour thank you ☺️ I think I just feel like it will be good to go in to the next one doing more than just crossing fingers. Basically, just want to know we've done everything we can for the next one. Although now just worrying it will take forever or not happen.

DH and I are watching Bridget Jones' Baby and it's at the scan bit. So now I'm 😭. Oh it's so unfair, for all of us. Hope we all get our babies soon x

TheDaydreamBelievers · 14/02/2021 23:17

@glowingtwig we watched that movie over xmas and I full on sobbed at that scene. It's the heartbeat that got me

Jujujuberry · 15/02/2021 01:35

@PlantMummy87 Thank you for your message xx Yeah its just awful, and maybe twice in a row is just bad luck and the next will be perfect. But I feel like I have to try something else this time as I don't wanna go through it again.

@AMS19 Thank you for your message xx Oh good to know your mensural days are like mine, i mean maybe its just bad luck having 2 MC in a row and was just chromosomal- but like I said, just wanna do as much as I can for a success next time!! 🙏 I was tracking my cycles, but it ended up making me anxious, so for me Im finding it easier to relax and just DtD around the fertile window.. poor hubby is drained after the week 😂

@SuzieDeLaTour I’m so sorry you’ve experienced 2 as well, its just awful, you give me hope you have a healthy baby, congrats 🥳 I’m seeing my GP this week, so will see what he says and if we need to see a specialist too, 2021 has got to be better for all of us!!

@Seasalt1984 Thank you for your message, sending you love right back and positive energy for a good month!!
