@Scottishskifun definitely wise to take some time out, both physically and mentally. If we have another miscarriage we will do the same next time too I think. Decided this time to jump back in and pray for the best. It's great to have the ongoing therapy sessions and getting lots of fresh air also sounds wonderful. You're definitely moving in the right direction ❤

@Jam291 I had positives up to 8 weeks after surgery, so 6 weeks after bleeding. Im glad youre getting a scan but it can just be hormone nonsense (I had a scan too and it was all clean)

Jam291 · 12/02/2021 18:18

@TheDaydreamBelievers oh wow no way 8 weeks! I’ve already had the scan, almost 3 weeks ago and it was clear.
If I’m honest I really don’t want another internal scan. I’ll just keep an eye on it.

Can I ask, did you have a period and still have positives?

TheDaydreamBelievers · 12/02/2021 19:02

@Jam291 my first period after MC came about 5 days after my tests went negative. However I think sometimes people still have faint positives then have a period and then the tests go blank

LauraT94 · 12/02/2021 19:35

@Jam291 my tests have been negative for just under a week and I got my period today! So very similar to @TheDaydreamBelievers

Jam291 · 12/02/2021 19:52

@LauraT94 @TheDaydreamBelievers Thankyou both. It’s so much more helpful to speak to others who’s been in the situation (although wish you never was in it if you know what I mean).
I feel like my period is starting however as I’m getting positive tests probably not, I had all the signs of ov a week and a half ago aswell.

I was going to mention to everyone that I found this good page on Facebook called ‘CRADLE’ for support after all types of MC . Appears really helpful, sorry if it’s already been mentioned xxx

AMS19 · 12/02/2021 19:57

@Jam291 I still had a very faint line on a FRER after my period. But my period was VERY light. More 2/3days of spotting.

Thanks for sharing about the Facebook page. I always find these things super helpful! Xx

@ams19 have you done a clear blue since spotting/light period?
Only reason I ask is when I had my son I had a 2 day light period and it was actually implantation bleeding. Clear blue was able to answer it.

AMS19 · 13/02/2021 05:57

@Scottishskifun yes I've done a couple of tests and definitely not pregnant. Plus I'm now pretty sure I've ovulated. Had another temp rise today, so one more tomorrow and ovulation will be confirmed for Thursday. I think the MVA must have just got rid of so much that there wasn't much for the period. I've been drinking lots of POM to hopefully build it back up

Well today’s the day... first period has arrived! Actually so happy. Cramps are a killer though!

PlantMummy87 · 13/02/2021 13:04

Sorry to hear about the cramps @Mellous hoping they get better, but good to hear that you are feeling positive. Hopefully this fresh cycle will be the one.

AMS19 · 13/02/2021 13:14

Fab news @Mellous clean slate and beautiful new cycle full of hope ❤

OP posts:
Mellous · 13/02/2021 13:44

@PlantMummy87 @AMS19 thank you both. I’m really relieved. I was worried it could take much longer and I’d be stuck not able to move forward. Excited for my thermometer to arrive today 😂 so I can really throw everything at this cycle. But first i think I’ll have a gin tonight!

AMS19 · 13/02/2021 13:48

@Mellous jealous of that gin! Well deserved. My V day plans now consistent of Nosecco and well done steak 😭😭😭

OP posts:
Mellous · 13/02/2021 13:48

By the way... what is POM?!

AMS19 · 13/02/2021 14:18

@Mellous POM wonderful. It's 100% pomegranate juice which is fabulous (apparently) for making your lining nice and "fluffy". It's an an antioxidant which is really good for your eggs too, so double win. You can get it is pretty much every supermarket

Mellous · 13/02/2021 14:31

@AMS19 oh that sounds lovely! I’ll pick some up when we do the food shop tomorrow. Every little helps eh Smile

wag1987 · 13/02/2021 14:59

Yay for a new cycle @Mellous I can't wait for a period so I can start tracking again. I am only 10 days post D&C and just have light spotting so not sure when this will stop and a period will start.

I stopped taking folic acid after miscarriage do I start taking it now or wait for period to start first?

Mellous · 13/02/2021 16:08

@wag1987 my spotting probably stopped just before 2 weeks after my d&c.. and today I am 4 weeks and 5 days when my period arrived! I think generally women wait around 4-6 weeks for their period. Were you advised to take a preg test after 3 weeks?

I’m not sure what is recommended but I just carried on taking my folic acid! x

AMS19 · 13/02/2021 16:09

@wag1987 I would start now. Folic acid also helps with egg development too so worth starting. I never stopped my prenatal, just switched to the before conception ones instead

Aw ladies it is a real boost to hearing everyone’s positivity. I hope you’re all doing well! @Scottishskifun I’m so pleased things are a little better for you. We’ve decided that we will consider taking a break if we miscarry again. But we also talked about having a break over the summer if we haven’t conceived by then. Just gets a bit on top of you having that tww every month. So I think you well-being is absolutely the most important thing right now.
@Mellous yes they bloody are!! I find anadin takes the edge off a bit. I’m absolutely pouring a gin or two this evening. Just about finished my period on to the third cycle! I find after the mc it really takes it out of me. @wag1987 I’ve also carried on taking folic acid, vitamin d and I’ve also started taking zitawest dha which is omega 3!
@AMS19 my Femometer arrived and I’ve started temping. I’m struggling doing it the same time every morning! But it’s new to me so hopefully I will get into the swing of it. Xxx

AMS19 · 13/02/2021 16:24

@Summersun001 yay! Ideally they need to be within the same 30mins. Outside of this you can use the below to correct (although ideally don't want to rely on this and just do it now and again)

mymonthlycycles.com/bbtadjust.jsp

I need one more temp rise tomorrow and ovulation will have been confirmed for Thursday. Its nice to have the feeling of hope again, it feels a long time since either felt that xx

OP posts:
wag1987 · 13/02/2021 17:04

@AMS19 @Summersun001 @Mellous thanks all I will continue to take this then :)

I've never done the temperature thing and not sure I would know how too. Do you record temperature everyday ?

Neady1980 · 13/02/2021 18:00

Hi all, havent been on much lately but have been reading all the comments. AF is due next week I think as it will be 4 weeks since MC. I am having some cramping and lower back pain since Thursday nothing major but unusual for me as normally i do be dying 3 days before AF. My stomach is very swollen and like a rock. Has this happend to anyone else?? I think I'm stressing out as these were my symptoms before I found out I was pregnant with some light headedness. Hope you are all keeping well xx

Ralala · 13/02/2021 18:36

@Neady1980 I’m having text book early pregnancy signs. Achey boobs, light headed, feeling off. How I was when I have been pregnant before. I’m not pregnant but it’s like my body is confused. I’m 4 weeks post mc. Urghhhh. Hoping my period arrives and I can re set
