Sorry I've not really been active in here but @AMS19 just to add that my OPKs have been really odd this cycle! I've still not had a period since my MVA so maybe that's messed it up? But I've had a couple of surges and even then they were only gradually rising up to 47%!

I think I'm still waiting for my peak 🤷🏼‍♀️

SuzieDeLaTour · 11/02/2021 09:29

@AMS19 oh gosh I don’t know as I haven’t had my period yet so not really tracking. From previously I know that my OPKs gradually grew darker every day - I could tell when my peak was coming a few days beforehand and I always got it spot on (I had to have a couple of internal scans due to gynae issues and they would confirm that I had just ovulated!) I’m definitely ovulating now though - EWCM is seriously full on, I’ve had slight cramps and I just tested with an OPK and it’s come up darker than it did a week ago. Makes me kind of want to have sex and see what happens but another part of me wants to have a fresh cycle! Arrrghhh!! X

AMS19 · 11/02/2021 09:33

Good luck @Seasalt1984 my temps are having, hoping for a temp rise soon 🙏

@LauraT94 yeah pre period mine were all over the place. Pre period they dropped to zero and then started to build up from CD6, just a slower rise than what I had previously 🤷‍♀️ if I get a temp rise tomorrow will assume I've missed the peak, my OPKs are so dark now

AMS19 · 11/02/2021 09:36

@SuzieDeLaTour oh that's exciting. We did try pre period but I must say, I feel more positive being in a new cycle. I think gradual peaks are super common, just different to what I had before. Hoping for a peak today or tomorrow 🙏 ewcm is great

@Seasalt1984 @AMS19 good luck with your readings! You are both being so thorough, you’re putting me to shame 😂

SuzieDeLaTour · 11/02/2021 09:39

@AMS19 I think I will hold off. It’s just so tempting when you know you’re ovulating and there’s an egg lurking!!! That said there was a teeny tiny speck of blood (I was really analysing! 🤦‍♀️) which makes me think I probably need to just have a period to flush everything out and start with a nice fresh lining. Just so want my period to come now so I’m not in limbo or tempted!!!

Mellous · 11/02/2021 09:40

Urghh just want to rant to you ladies!

So I thought I'd ovulated around 30th / 31st Jan, so coming up to two weeks ago.

The past couple of days I've taken FRERs and have had very very faint lines. They've not gotten any darker from Tuesday.

I took a FRER 3 weeks post surgery (around the time I ovulated) and I thought it was negative.

Now I'm doubting myself. Was it really negative? I wish I'd kept it now so I could compare to these squinter tests I've had the past couple of days.

So now my scenarios are

  1. The faint lines are just indents/evaps/im imagining them
  2. The faint lines are from leftover hcg from my miscarriage
  3. The faint lines are a new pregnancy but they dont seem to be getting darker/its too early/god knows!!

I'm so fed up of all of this. I've got a telephone appointment on Monday morning with the GP to discuss.

SuzieDeLaTour · 11/02/2021 09:40

Hope everyone else is ok this morning 😘 x

Mellous · 11/02/2021 09:40

Also just to add, I'm 4 weeks and 3 days post surgery. No period and I've no idea when it'll be due.

SuzieDeLaTour · 11/02/2021 10:05

@Mellous oh it’s so tough when you haven’t had a period and feel uncertain about what’s going on. If you’re seeing v v faint lines now and think it’s left over HCG I would guess that the test would have been obvious enough at 3 weeks for you not to think it was negative? My tests, while getting much much lighter, are still quite clearly positive (I’m 3 weeks 5 days post op). What I did with my last MMC in 2018 was call the EPU and explain that I hadn’t had a period and was still getting positive tests (without mentioning I had unprotected sex!! 😀) and they told me I could come in for bloods to check my hcg levels which might be an idea for you? X

SuzieDeLaTour · 11/02/2021 10:06

@Mellous ps you could always post a pic x

SuzieDeLaTour · 11/02/2021 10:09

@Mellous I meant post a pic so we can tell you if we can see anything and you can rule out whether you’re imagining those!! 😀 Also, it’s such early days post ovulation Im not sure if the FRER test would get any darker within 48 hours? You might need to wait a little longer to see any real difference? I know I had to but everyone’s different. It’s good you’ve got the GP app on Monday so you know you have some help / advice lined up! X

Slk3558 · 11/02/2021 10:11

Anyone around 9 dpo? First cycle for me after mmc. Had a temp dip this morning not feeling hopeful 😩.

SuzieDeLaTour · 11/02/2021 10:12

@AMS19 my period always arrived exactly 12 days after ovulation regardless of how long my cycle was so I’m intrigued to see if it arrives in 12 days time and my cycles follow their old pattern. I hope so - I don’t need any more confusion or changes thank you very much!! 😂🤦‍♀️ X

AMS19 · 11/02/2021 10:22

@SuzieDeLaTour I'm actually quite enjoying the tracking. Totally agree about resisting when all the signs look great. My period was pathetic so didn't get the clear out I had hoped for! Hopefully your cycle will snap back and period is in 12 days then! I definitely want to go back to my 27 day cycle with ovulation on CD13. Was amazing!

@Seasalt1984 I'm cd11 so we are pretty much cycle buddies!!

@Mellous I would definitely contact EPU. It could just be very early days and a new pregnancy. I found my FRER seemed to look darker 6 days after I got a squinter. This is what spurred me on to contact the GP for bloods and epu referral. Definitely wasn't a new pregnancy as my other tests were all blank. Such a pain isn't it not knowing what's new and what's leftover!

Hi @AMS19, I've been opk tracking this cycle and things are definitely different to pre mc. I also would have very low readings and then jump to a peak quickly, but this month is been a lot more gradual and when I finally got a peak it has stayed high for a few days afterwards and normally it goes straight down to low after my peak. I think confirming with BBT has really helped me. Hoping you get your peak soon.

@SuzieDeLaTour it's good to hear that it sounds like your body is getting into the swing of things with ovulation. We did also try sort of try pre period, but do feel more positive this cycle as starting afresh and having had a scan to check everything was all okay.

@Mellous this happened to me the month after my mc where I was totally doubting whether tests I had previously take were in fact negative or had I missed a faint line. It was driving me a bit crazy as I so wanted the lines to increase in but they weren't. I think for me they were either evap lines or just vvvfl of left over hCG. I really hope this isn't the case for you. It sounds like a call with your GP though is a good idea, I hope it goes well.

Mellous · 11/02/2021 10:54

@SuzieDeLaTour here’s a pic from today. As you can see it’s super faint but I’m sure there’s something

@AMS19 @PlantMummy87 thank you ladies I’ll try the EPU for advice xx

Sorry I've totally failed to keep up but just to say my temps are also a godawful mess in first 'clean' cycle after MMC and after an AF - CD 21 and no clear ovulation, no temp sensibility. Havent had sex in like 3 days cause the stress is getting to us.

Ralala · 11/02/2021 11:11

@Mellous I have everything crossed it is a new pregnancy but it may very likely be your hormones. Epu told me to test after 3 weeks. No sooner. I’m 3 weeks on Friday although I have absolutely tested already and negative haha! They told me if I get a positive before my period to call them. They would do bloods and potentially scan. They did say a positive after a negative is not unheard of.

I absolutely hope this is a new pregnancy for you but without a period I would be looking to head back to epu to clarify xx

Mellous · 11/02/2021 11:23

@Ralala thanks lovely I've just called EPU they've put me on the triage list so a nurse will call me back today. Such a mind boggle this isn't it! I really wish I'd kept the test I thought was negative now.

SuzieDeLaTour · 11/02/2021 11:29

@Mellous oh I can definitely see a very very faint line! Call your EPU, explain that you’re still get positives after seeing what you thought was a negative and see if they can get you in for bloods? I’m guessing a scan wouldn’t tell you much in the way of a new pregnancy as it would be too early but bloods definitely would! X

SuzieDeLaTour · 11/02/2021 11:31

@Mellous ahh sorry it didn’t update so I missed your message. Good an EpU nurse will call you today. Hopefully you’ll get an answer soon rather than later! X

SuzieDeLaTour · 11/02/2021 11:32

@Mellous really hope it’s a new pregnancy for you - fingers and toes crossed ☺️

Ralala · 11/02/2021 11:34

@Mellous fingers crossed!! I really hope it’s a new pregnancy. They might fob you off with test in another week although I would absolutely push for bloods. Xxx

Mellous · 11/02/2021 11:34

@SuzieDeLaTour thank you so much! I'm not hopeful at all but would rather know one way or another. It's all the questioning and unknown that gets me down!
