Hi ladies! Our last thread was automatically closed because we reached the 1,000 post limit. I was hoping we would be able to start a new thread called First Pregnancy Post-MMC, but unfortunately we are not quite there yet. I know we will be someday soon! In the meantime, I hope you will all join me on here as we continue on this journey together. You have all been an invaluable source of inspiration, support, and kindness for me and I want to thank you for making me feel less alone in this.

About me, for any newcomers: First MMC in February at 12 weeks (baby passed at nine), D&C the next day, found out five weeks later that it was a partial molar pregnancy and currently undergoing follow-up with CX. Second early mc in April. Now impatiently waiting to be cleared from CX before ttc again.

@Amanda81 I am currently cd9 and usually have a 28 day cycle. This AF was shorter though, only lasting 5 days as opposed to my 'normal' 7. Although I don't feel anything is 100% normal after everything anyway. Roughly where in the cycle should I expect a temp drop do you reckon? Xxx

bananamonkey · 09/05/2019 16:57

Hi @LMLP91 this is my chart for a similar cycle to you, be interesting to see if they’re similar? It’s given me a 35 day cycle as that’s what my last one was post-chemical but they’re normally closer to 30 days I think. Should probably give digital OPKs a go tomorrow? That’s interesting about the applicators @Amanda81 will it matter that I already used it a few times last cycle? Do i need a new one?

I have a 28 day cycle and O around 15-17 and I start to see a drop roughly on cd12. Everyone is different - you may also get a few spikes, I got this on my first few cycles after the MMC which flipped me out and I got all confused. But I now understand it's just hormones fighting against one another xx

You can see a gradual reduction in your chart @bananamonkey - it's looking good. As long as you use the same applicator throughout the cycle you are okay. I foolishly changed half way through and my reading went from high to low. Annoyingly it was on this cycle when I caught so not sure when i got my peak xx

LMLP91 · 09/05/2019 17:30

@bananamonkey thanks for posting lovely. It's good to have something to compare to. What's the difference between the blue and white dots? Sorry if this has been asked and answered before...just have no clue lol!

@Amanda81 That's good to know, at least I might get some insight into what's going on. I'll post a pic once I've gathered a few more dots 👍🏼

Xxx

Hey guys I just ordered the Clear Blue digital connected opks. Found then cheap on eBay. They have 25 in a box and the reader syncs to your phone. Seemed a bit more cost effective with my long cycle at £25.

The good thing about waiting for AF is I've made friends with wine again. It's been so long since I had any and I forgot how much more chilled out I am after a glass. Xx

Amanda81 · 09/05/2019 18:41

@Catconfusion - wine is good 🤗🤗 🍷 🍷 🍷

Hi ladies! Hope you’re all doing well today! I actually started bleeding this evening so I’m guessing that’s my miscarriage starting naturally. Not sure if I’ll have to have the tablets inserted tomorrow if it’s started on it’s own if that makes any sense?

For any of you that passed a pregnancy naturally, how long did you bleed for? This is my first experience with all this so I feel so unsure of what to expect!

Catconfusion · 09/05/2019 19:12

@Amanda81 I always knew it was but needed reminding. It's so good! Xx

@Kiki061190 I'm so sorry you're going through this. I didn't do it naturally but I guess it depends how you're coping at home. I'd totally go to hospital tonight if it feels unmanageable. I was against it happening at home though so would have gone in if the bleeding started. You might prefer to be at home and avoid the hospital. My gynae ward has 24 hour access so you can just go if you need to. Hopefully yours does too. It might be worth calling them and telling them what's going on. There's always the chance you'll need to go in tomorrow anyway.

Good luck and I'm thinking of you! Xx

3204ECL · 09/05/2019 19:25

@Kiki061190 the bleeding and cramps gradually increased for me over the course of an afternoon and then that evening things got much more intense. I had about 4 hours where I couldn't leave the bathroom and was having contractions on and off until everything passed. As soon as the last tissue passed I instantly felt better and then went to bed as it was 4am! I got quite concerned at one point so called 111 and had a call back from a doctor who told me to stick it out but was very reassuring. I think the intensity depends a bit on how far on you are, how many weeks are you? I took paracetamol and ibuprofen alternatively every 2 hours which helped. Hope that helps, here if you have questions. X

3204ECL · 09/05/2019 19:31

@Catconfusion I've also been thinking about having a break from temping but have decided to carry on as I think for me personally the sense of control it gives me outweighs the disappointment of a drop. I'm going to get another box of CB OPKs as well as I got on really well with these last time. Hope you find the right solution for you. I saw the OPKs that link to you phone, they sound good and that's a really good price!

@sadtoday21 your temp looks really good but totally understand wanting to wait. I also wanted to wait but my curiosity and lack of patience for the better of me and I regretted it a bit afterwards! Fingers crossed for the next few days.

@Amanda81 sorry about the scan date, I can totally understand your doubts but like the other ladies said I think you should stick with it and hopefully it will turn what was once a sad day in to a wonderful one. X

sadtoday21 · 09/05/2019 20:09

Thanks @3204ECL! It's funny how someone else saying your temp looks good can make you feel so happy! I also think it looks good, but the gp has assured me today that there is near zero chance that I am pregnant so I guess it's most likely a fluke hormone thing. Only tomorrow will tell - I am forcing myself to save the expensive frers for the real thing next month!

3204ECL · 09/05/2019 20:22

@sadtoday21 very wise! It's so easy to just keep using them, I dread to think how much we've spent on them in the last 5 months! I also had a big temp rise this cycle before AF so maybe it's a hormonal thing? X

Kiki061190 · 09/05/2019 20:42

@3204ECL I was just under 8 weeks when the hearts stopped beating. So far just feels like I’m having a period but has only been 2.5 hours so far! I’ve taken paracetamol and have a hot water bottle on my tummy which is helping with cramp!

Chanel05 · 09/05/2019 20:57

Thank you @sadtoday21 and @Catconfusion you feel like you get through one phase of a mc and then seem to uncover a whole other set of stresses.

I haven't had any proper bleeding for 3 days and had no spotting for 2. Tonight (sorry tmi) I felt something and went to the toilet and I had some creamy cm - am I too hopeful to think the ercp bleeding may be over?

Rainbow8bubbles · 09/05/2019 21:02

@Kiki061190 hi Kiki I miscarried naturally at home about two weeks ago I passed the sac on first day after three or four hours of contractions and then passed baby at around lunchtime the next day so a total of around 24 hours in labor and delivery with sleep in middle after a bath. Bled for four days and got negative after 8 days. Hope that helps. It is manageable as your body should know what to do and when just go with your instincts. It's amazing really. X

Rainbow8bubbles · 09/05/2019 21:04

My hubby and I had our miscarriage tattoos done today on the day of our 12 week scan

Catconfusion · 09/05/2019 21:08

No problem @Chanel05 I only bled for one day so yes it's quite possibly over. When I was at that stage I thought I'd recovered. Just after I ovulated though I got a lot of pelvic pain as the lining built up and then the chemical pregnancy. Your lining might take a little while to recover completely. Three months on I'm still getting a lot of cramping and soreness post ovulation but it's a lot better than it was. You're right it just feels never ending sometimes but you will get there. It is so frustrating though when you just want to try again. I hope you recover quicker than I have. Xx

Chanel05 · 09/05/2019 21:12

Sorry to hear that @Catconfusion I really hope that you get your sticky bean soon. How long have you been ttc for in total?

Catconfusion · 09/05/2019 21:24

@Chanel05 thanks I can't complain too much as we caught first time without trying too hard which is miraculous as my cycles are very irregular. Then caught again so only really trying for three cycles with the first two being miscarriages. The mmc was so traumatic though. Sometimes it just feels like a new pregnancy is the only way to be ok. We've definitely not caught this time so just waiting for AF. My DH has a sperm analysis this cycle so we had to abstain during the couple of days before ovulation. Of course it would happen on the collection day! Anyway this cycle has been all over the place because of the back to back losses. O was day 36 so really exhausting with dtd every other day. Just want to get on with a new hopefully more normal cycle. Xx

Chanel05 · 09/05/2019 21:38

@Catconfusion oh dear though two consecutive must be really heartbreaking. That's very late to ovulate isn't it! You must have had some stamina dtd every other day!!

I took soy isoflavones this cycle to encourage my body to ovulate after the mmc. I took them the cycle I got my bfp and I had quite a strong ovulation so at least hoping it will get my body to to what it's meant to.

Catconfusion · 09/05/2019 22:03

Oh really @Chanel05 that's interesting. I have pcos so not sure I can take them as I'm likely to be oestrogen dominant. Apparently it could make the hormone imbalance worse. I'm on Inositol so if that's not working this cycle I might look into it! Xx

Chanel05 · 09/05/2019 22:06

@Catconfusion oh yes I have read that actually they aren't recommended if you have pcos. I was in two minds about whether to use them but I figured that I'd lost the baby, there was nothing left to lose.

LMLP91 · 09/05/2019 22:47

@Rainbow8bubbles they're lovely - a perfect tribute to your little angel ❤️ hope you're doing okay xxx

Catconfusion · 10/05/2019 07:03

So AF came very abruptly in my sleep. Still amazed that because of Ovusense and knowing I have a 17 day LP I know the day it will come. During my younger years it would come unexpectedly every 2, 3 or even 9 months once. It feels good to understand my body a bit more.

Anyway I'm feeling pretty relieved and excited about getting on with a new cycle. Xx

Amanda81 · 10/05/2019 07:21

Yey, some closure on the wtf cycle @Catconfusion 🙌🙌 xx
