Hi ladies! Our last thread was automatically closed because we reached the 1,000 post limit. I was hoping we would be able to start a new thread called First Pregnancy Post-MMC, but unfortunately we are not quite there yet. I know we will be someday soon! In the meantime, I hope you will all join me on here as we continue on this journey together. You have all been an invaluable source of inspiration, support, and kindness for me and I want to thank you for making me feel less alone in this.

About me, for any newcomers: First MMC in February at 12 weeks (baby passed at nine), D&C the next day, found out five weeks later that it was a partial molar pregnancy and currently undergoing follow-up with CX. Second early mc in April. Now impatiently waiting to be cleared from CX before ttc again.

Thanks @Amanda81 I'm really hoping for a confirmed rise tomorrow! I read that it's normal to have delayed O even after an early mc. I completely agree with what you said to @Indiekid82 - it doesn't really get easier with time, all the anxiety is still there, but you just learn to manage it somehow. That being said, the early mc was way less traumatic for me than the late mmc - I don't think I can deal with another loss at 12 weeks right now. But we have no choice but to keep moving forward xxx.

So true @sadtoday21 - fear and hope go hand in hand in this journey. But the hope has to shine through to get to the final destination. We are all so brave and strong for continuing and for not completely discounting the idea of trying again. The world owes me nothing and I've never had anything fall in my lap, but just think 'come-on universe, throw me a bone with this one'.

Is it too late for ice-cream?

sadtoday21 · 27/04/2019 21:27

Totally agree - and it’s never too late for ice cream 🍦😂

Well it finally happened today! Confirmed O on CD24 and now I am 3dpo. Now will be interested to see if the LP is the same as last time (it was 17 days, but a week of BFP so not sure if that is accurate). Finally can put this cycle behind me and hopefully move on with ttc in the next one!

I'm so pleased for you @sadtoday21 you're not far behind me and @3204ECL so I guess we're all cycle buddies. My temp snapped up again today so it's looking good. Xx

Catconfusion · 28/04/2019 11:45

Hey @MelRiley15 I'm so sorry for your loss. I can imagine it was devastating.

Yes I definitely would say there's increased fertility however several of us on here conceived the cycle after ERPC surgery and then had a chemical pregnancy so it seems some recovery time is needed (not sure if you had surgery or not). I think you just have to go with how you feel at the time.

What I will say is I needed much more time to grieve for my baby than I anticipated. At first I just wanted to be pregnant again and I was but it ended badly again. My cycle got really messed up by it and to some extent I wish I'd waited.

Some ladies though are lucky and fall again quickly with no problems. I wish you lots of luck with this cycle! Xx

Amanda81 · 28/04/2019 12:03

Yet confirmed O @sadtoday21 - looks like it is all starting to fall in line for ttc again - very happy for you 😘😘

Amanda81 · 28/04/2019 12:03

Tut! That was supposed to say yey! Not yet xx

Amanda81 · 28/04/2019 12:06

How you feeling today @Catconfusion? Anymore symptoms xx

sadtoday21 · 28/04/2019 12:21

Thanks @AnnaMC214 how are you doing today? Any updates on the testing front? xxx

Yay for cycle buddies @Catconfusion @3204ECL! Hopefully that means we have some company in the tww, although better still would be if you both get BFPs this cycle!! How long do you think the LP is, since I'm assuming the early mc last cycle would have prolonged it?

How are you doing today @Amanda81? Any more symptoms starting yet? When do you reach 6 weeks?

OP posts:
sadtoday21 · 28/04/2019 12:22

Also do you guys think I should stop temping now, since no possibility of a bfp for me this cycle?

OP posts:
Amanda81 · 28/04/2019 12:46

Hola @sadtoday21 - if it was me, I would keep temping, for science sake...but I'm a nerd. If you keep temping you will see how high your normal LP temps are and the pattern which it follows, which will be helpful for collating data for the next cycles. LPs can vary between 10 and 18...but tend to stay the same for each woman.

I'm having an 'off day' today, feeling like my confidence has taken a dip in how this one is progressing. Nothing has happened to make me think this, it's all in the head. Therefore, I am sat here doing my self assessment and getting my corporation tax return ready. My DH should be home around 2ish, so will someone to keep me busy mentally...taxes are really keeping me gripped 😂😂😂😂 xx

Amanda81 · 28/04/2019 12:48

Sorry... forgot to say @sadtoday21 - I reach 6 weeks on this coming Tuesday. I have a lot of Leukorrhea which i guess is s good sign xx

AnnaMC214 · 28/04/2019 13:56

@sadtoday21 I nearly tested again today but then missed fmu so decided to wait until tomorrow as planned. I had a big temp dip today which I would love to be a sign of impending af but I think that's unlikely. I agree with Amanda81 and would keep temping just for the insight.

@Catconfusion I can totally understand you wanting to be cautious but I'm getting a little excited on your behalf. The temp rise looks good 😊

@Amanda81 I'm sorry you're having a wobbly day. As you say, there is no reason to think that anything is wrong. I'm glad your dh will be home soon. Definitely enlist him in keeping you distracted. xx

Catconfusion · 28/04/2019 14:27

Hey @Amanda81 sorry it's a wobble day for you. Good DH will be there to ride it out with you. It probably will be like this until you see proof it's going well, like your scan so I know you won't be hard on yourself when these feelings arise. Today you are are pregnant and that is all.

I've still got the nausea but it's a bit better. It's a rising up in my throat sensation. We went for a lovely walk through the Norfolk Broads with the dogs. This helped a lot. Still crampy too. Who knows what all this means. I'm trying to think of all the positives if I don't get the bfp to prepare for it. Xx

@AnnaMC214 thank you, that's very much appreciated. We'll see what happens.

@sadtoday21 I'm not really anticipating any change in my LP as it seems fairly fixed. I'll do an hpt in a weeks time at 12 dpo and then AF should come in about 10 days from now if no bfp.

I think if I were you I'd be tempted to carry on temping out of interest. So good your cycle got back on track for ttc in May! Xx

sadtoday21 · 28/04/2019 15:29

@Catconfusion I agree, that is a promising looking temp rise! Even with the chemical pregnancy, I suspected pretty early on that something was up. I think we are more in tune with our bodies now and we notice these subtle changes more than before.

I should have explained a bit better regarding my question on LP. I know it doesn't change much from cycle to cycle, unlike O, but I never tracked a cycle yet that didn't end in mc (sad!)...so I don't know what my LP usually is. The LP of 17 was last cycle when I had a BFP for 7 days, so I am not sure if those 7 days really count towards the LP or not. In other words, maybe I should expect a more "normal" LP of 12-14 days, rather than 17 until AF. I know it's just a waiting game really, but I am wondering if anyone else who had a chemical had a longer LP that cycle than usual as a result. I guess I am anxious to get my second AF now so I can move on with ttc :).

@Amanda81 sorry to hear you are having a wobbly day. As others have said, it's perfectly normal and you are dealing with it as best as anyone can. It's exciting that you are so close to the six week mark though, then you can see the hb soon hopefully and have a better idea of what is going on. We are all still within the six month "extra fertile" timeframe, so hoping the third time is the charm! I read somewhere that an early mc is your body's way of gearing up for the next, healthy pregnancy. Hope that is true for you and for all of us! xxx

@AnnaMC214 wishing you all the best for your test results tomorrow! Fingers crossed for a BFN!! How many weeks post-op are you now?

OP posts:
Catconfusion · 28/04/2019 15:47

@sadtoday21 I think it depends when the loss happened. I don't think mine ever really implanted properly. As I have a long luteal phase my AF came in line with when it should come anyway.

My first positive test was 9 dpo. I got a darker line a few days later. At 14 dpo the line was very faint so AF came as it would have done 17 dpo. If it did implant and progressed until after AF the luteal phase would seem longer. Not sure if it would be regarded as AF or a miscarriage bleed beyond that point.

I definitely think it's worth seeing what your luteal phase is for future reference. Xx

Amanda81 · 28/04/2019 17:25

Kinda bit jealous of you guys sharing the tww! Let the symptom spotting commence, although this is a practice run for you @sadtoday21. I gotta say @Catconfusion, it's all looking/sounding very promising! That rising feeling in your throat is very symptomatic of MS!!! Eeeeklkk! This week is going to drag big time if you don't keep yourself ultra busy. Keep on with the fettling and cleaning 🧹🧼.

The wobble is over now that DH has come up and is occupying me.

Got a question for you all...as I had a MC at the end of my last cycle, how should I be dating this one? I've been taking the day of the first day of when I started bleeding which would make me 5+5. But perhaps this is wrong. I am not sure when I O'd this cycle as i messed up with the OPK's, but think it might be around cd17/18, which would be 3 days out when comparing the average cycle (I.e. 28 day, O on cd14), which could put me at 5+2. Not sure it really matters except for when you go for a scan and they date you less than what you think you are...any thought 💭 xx

Amanda81 · 28/04/2019 17:26

Will you be testing with fmu @AnnaMC214? I really hope it's a BFN! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 xx

Catconfusion · 28/04/2019 17:39

@Amanda81 thanks, I hope so but trying not to get too carried away. Yes this will be a busy week!

The dating is difficult until the scan I think with your last cycle.

I think I took two weeks away from when I thought I'd ovulated and counted from then. I ovulated four weeks in with my first pregnancy so obviously lmp wasn't a good indication. Xx
