Hi ladies! Our last thread was automatically closed because we reached the 1,000 post limit. I was hoping we would be able to start a new thread called First Pregnancy Post-MMC, but unfortunately we are not quite there yet. I know we will be someday soon! In the meantime, I hope you will all join me on here as we continue on this journey together. You have all been an invaluable source of inspiration, support, and kindness for me and I want to thank you for making me feel less alone in this.

About me, for any newcomers: First MMC in February at 12 weeks (baby passed at nine), D&C the next day, found out five weeks later that it was a partial molar pregnancy and currently undergoing follow-up with CX. Second early mc in April. Now impatiently waiting to be cleared from CX before ttc again.

Oh no @sadtoday21 I'm sorry. Don't worry though as your body will probably gear up again. Do you have your chart?

I hope you're having a lovely holiday. Try not to worry about the temps. I know that's easier said than done but you deserve a nice break without the stress of ttc! Will you get your test results today? Xx

Catconfusion · 23/04/2019 10:38

@wanderlustgirl good luck with the test kit. I ordered one too but got a positive on a cheapie before I used it so I tested to see how it goes! Xx

Catconfusion · 23/04/2019 10:39

Sorry *interested to see!

wanderlustgirl · 23/04/2019 10:44

@Catconfusion thanks I will keep you updated! It's been 8 days since my last AF started and my cycles are usually 40 ish days sometimes more sometimes less so I am interested to see what the results are / if any!

bananamonkey · 23/04/2019 10:55

Good morning all, so glad you’re feeling slightly better today @sarmum14, I hope the nice Dr can be helpful for you.

Still feeling in limbo here, CD30 and no positive OPK or AF but more bright red spotting, seriously feels like this will never end. Do you think you can have signs of ovulation but no actual O in an anovulatory cycle? Google seems to think so and says temping is the only way to know for sure but I didn’t start that till 18th so don’t know what’s happening with me. I had v definite EWCM on 20th and possible O pains yesterday but nothing since, just more spotting, it’s all v frustrating.

sadtoday21 · 23/04/2019 10:55

Thanks @Catconfusion it’s really heartbreaking isn’t it? My temps have been dropping really low again rather than a sustained rise. I don’t know why this cycle is so messed up, I guess you were right about the early loss impacting the hormones more. At this rate I will also have a really long cycle this month. Haven’t called for the test results yet, just trying to relax a bit on vacation and not think about it too much.

Will post my chart when I have better access to WiFi and looking forward to catching up on everyone’s news on the thread! I haven’t had time to properly read everything yet but wanted to say welcome back @sarmum14 and sorry you are similarly in limbo like me!

Thanks @wanderlustgirl it's so difficult to know when to start testing with long cycles. Even though I now have a peak Opk I don't completely believe it's O as my last peak led to failed ovulation.

Have you spoken to your doctor about your long cycles? Be prepared you might get false peaks with a long cycle as your body might be trying earlier on. It'll be interesting to see what happens. I hope this cycle is nice and short for you.

I'm going to ask again for a day 3 blood test to check my pcos isn't becoming symptomatic in my blood.

It's so annoying how GPs view miscarriages as successful conception and don't like to entertain the fact there could be something wrong other than a chromosomal abnormality. Most my anxiety and stress comes from my unpredictable cycles and the fear hormone fluctuations caused the miscarriages. It just doesn't seem right to ovulate so late. I know many women do have a successful pregnancy with late ovulation but I do wonder if it dash's the chances of it working out! Xx

Catconfusion · 23/04/2019 11:04

@bananamonkey most definitely your body can gear up for O and it doesn't quite happen. Your pituitary gland causes LH to surge but the ovary doesn't release an egg. This is usually due to a hormone imbalance which is understandable after all you've been through. It's interesting that you, @sadtoday21 and I are all experiencing this after an early loss. I do wonder if the sudden spike and drop in hormones after a chemical messes up the next cycle. Hang in there ladies, it'll all work out I'm sure! Xx

Catconfusion · 23/04/2019 11:05

@bananamonkey have you spoken to the doctor about the bleeding? Must be so frustrating! Xx

bananamonkey · 23/04/2019 11:36

Thanks @Catconfusion so weird how OPKs haven’t picked up anything although I read that sometimes the surge can only last 8-12 hours so theoretically could have happened on Friday/Saturday when I didn’t test but I’m used to getting days of repeated weak lines and got nothing, even on the digital. Gah wish I had more temp data!

Not thought about Dr for bleeding as it seems so minor but it’s pretty much daily, nothing minor just on wiping but goes from pink to red to brown and back again.

bananamonkey · 23/04/2019 11:37

nothing major*

Catconfusion · 23/04/2019 11:48

@bananamonkey on what cd did you start the temping? Your body is probably doing what it needs to do at the moment but worth seeing the doctor if the bleeding carries on and no sign of O'. Just keep temping and see what happens for now. Xx

bananamonkey · 23/04/2019 12:51

Day 25, they're normally about 30 days long but I guess its so different after the chemical. Think I will give it another week to see if AF turns up and go from there.

Catconfusion · 23/04/2019 13:09

@bananamonkey I really think that's the case. It's so different to after surgery. What day are you now? Xx

In other news I've had to abandon DH in the bathroom to get his sample alone. It was too funny me helping him and the laughing was stopping it. He came running through the door with his manliness hanging through his jeans which induced a lot of laughs.

We have one hour to get to the hospital when he emerges. 😂

bananamonkey · 23/04/2019 13:50

Day 30 now. Ha ha that’s so funny, I don’t think it would have crossed my mind to offer to assist! When my friend did this she told everyone all about his super hero sperm, apparently he had an extremely high count of the little fellas!

Catconfusion · 23/04/2019 16:31

@bananamonkey we were sending each other funny handjob memes all morning which didn't help. When he got home we were just in fits of laughter about it. It's hilarious they labelled his pack from the hospital as Mr Handcock. When we got to the hospital the lady said he'd come too early. We both sniggered. At least we could see the funny side though the whole experience has turned us into a couple of kids. I would love for him to have superhero sperm. Hopefully he'll get the all clear. At least we can then rule out an obvious male factor cause.

Feel free you post your chart. Things are bound to change soon if cd 30. Xx

sadtoday21 · 23/04/2019 17:02

Well my results are in now. Blood was 6 hcg and urine 4. The urine is normal but the blood needs to be below 5, so will have to do another sample. I’m relieved it’s fallen from 45 (chemical pregnancy) but a bit sad it isn’t normal yet. So close!! Oh well, I guess we are almost there 🙄. I just really want to get on with ttc, although my O is not cooperating anyway this cycle.

Catconfusion · 23/04/2019 17:24

@sadtoday21 thats very good news regarding the urine and as you say very close with bloods. Surely that's the chemical that's caused it to be still over. When will they test again? I hope you're having a lovely holiday! Xx

Amanda81 · 23/04/2019 17:54

Hello All

So pleased you have milder cramps @sarmum14 - I hope you got some rest during the night. Did you get anywhere with the GP? Xx

Yey for a small increase @Catconfusion. Your SA antics made me LOL, it's good to hear that it's made you behave like kids 😂😂. Let's see what those pesky temps do tomorrow. Hopefully you won't need those OPK's for the rest of this cycle xx

Good luck with the OPK's @wanderlustgirl - 40 day cycles - wow! Do you usually O in the middle? I hope you get the positive Opk early so that you can crack on xx

@bananamonkey - sorry to hear that you are still spotting, if it's only mild i wouldn't worry to much, might be worth speaking to your doctor about it as they may look in to why it's happening. i also have a short surge and O quite quickly after getting my peak on the adv Cb opk. Temping has verified it.

Good news on the results @sadtoday21 and pleased to hear you are enjoying your break. Although you are not in zero just yet, you have come down massively, especially after the CP. you should be at zero next time, when is the next test? Xx

bananamonkey · 23/04/2019 18:58

Great news @sadtoday21 nearly there!

AnnaMC214 · 23/04/2019 20:17

@sarmum14 I'm glad to hear you were feeling a little better this morning. I hope the GP is helpful and can put your mind at ease.

@Catconfusion good news about the temp rise today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow that this is finally it! Lol about your SA antics. It's all a bit of a palaver having to do the sample at home and then rush it to the hospital!

@sadtoday21 I know you're frustrated to not quite get the all clear yet but that's still a big drop and a really positive result. I hope you have a really lovely, restful holiday.

It sounds like pretty much everyone is suffering from crazy messed up hormones in one way or another. Sending hugs to all you amazing strong ladies xx

Catconfusion · 23/04/2019 20:29

Sorry @sarmum14 I've just realised I missed your post earlier. I'm so glad the cramps have eased. I'm not sure about getting progesterone to hurry it along. I've wondered if my cycle is anovulatory whether I should get something from the doc. Like you though I worry it might mess me up more. Mother Nature is so frustrating! Xx

AnnaMC214 · 23/04/2019 20:54

Just got the news that my friend's twins were born today. I'm not very proud of the fact it's made me want to go and scream into a pillow 😣

Catconfusion · 23/04/2019 21:05

It's ok @AnnaMC214 these things just make the injustice of it all feel worse. Scream into that pillow if it helps. One day you will bring your baby home, hopefully soon! Xx

Amanda81 · 23/04/2019 21:11

I'm sure we all have feelings like that @AnnaMC214 - scream away xx
