NEW THREAD HERE

Apologies for the lack of bold on the stats update - haven't got two hours to make it happen on my phone and I can't find the handy copy and paste list March said was in the google sheet?

Hope I've got it right....
Any update to the stats let me know and I'll put in on the google sheet for next time Smile

Okay, so this is my turn for the bfp then? because it's starting the thread, not going through ivf, that works the magic

Kazz2112 · 04/08/2015 14:17

Yeah... totally your turn next. You will be pregnant by the time the new thread runs out! :)

apologies if this is not the correct place to add this but whenever I am searching for something similar this thread keeps popping up. I am 29 and over the past few years have had 3 consecutive missed miscarriages. All three losses followed the same pattern - heartbeat at 6 weeks followed with no heartbeat at a later scan. All pregnancies stopped developing around 6week2days and I needed medical management for all three.

I have endometriosis and had a laparoscopy in 2020 to remove the adhesions through the ablation method. I have also had abnormal smears since I was 19 and developed CIN 2 abnormal cells which resulted in a LLETZ.

I had my first loss in 2021. Since then, I have found out I have a subseptate uterus. I was also placed on progesterone suppositories in my third pregnancy but this did not help. I have also had multiple blood tests done after my third miscarriage. These are;

Haemostasis / Thrombosis

PT - normal
APTT - normal
_Clauss Fibrinogen - normal
DRWT Ratio - 1st test showed elevated levels of 1.23. Second test was in normal range
Anti-cardiolipin Ab (IgG) - normal
Anti-B2-Glycoprotein I Ab(igG) - normal

Thyroid Function
TSH - normal
Free Thyroxine - normal
Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody - elevated levels of 241.

In addition to this, my third pregnancy was sent for cytogenetic testing and came back normal.

My current NHS clinic are telling me that there is nothing wrong and that my losses are probably a bad coincidence. I feel very lost and cannot accept that this is down to bad luck, therefore I am seeking advice elsewhere and have been looking at private clinics, as well as Tommys website.

My initial thought was to pay for a package of blood work at a private clinic, but I have no idea where to start or what clinics to seek advice from. I live in the north east and there seems to be little support for recurrent miscarriages up here. I have also been reading Tommys article about dEFT.

I understand that it’s hard to advise a stranger on their next steps, but I was hoping you could offer some advice for me going forward.
Would the dEFT help me find an answer or am I better getting a block of tests done? Both are very costly and I am worried about paying £700 for a singular test that I may not even need. Additionally, are there any extra tests I could request through my GP?
