OK, thought I'd bite the bullet and start this thread as we were talking about the possibility on the "we're great, we are" thread

Is anyone interested in a christmas meet up? I know it's early but you know how time has a habit of flying by... I'm happy to organise if so. You can post here or email me at [email protected] I'm thinking probably London or just outside London as the place and the venue depends on how many want to come. Like batey's idea of a 70s/80s theme...

Oh, am wearing black cords and black top but have decided I'll either bring a mask or not be in the picture...

Is it tonight??? If so, have a wonderful time and please nominate someone to hit the message board as soon as they get home to tell the rest of us all about it - down to the last detail, please!!

sb34 - would you consider getting the last train from Victoria to your area or does that leave you a walk at the other end? Or are you worried about getting a cab home? It would be a shame if you didn't make it. It's awful to feel that you can't go out if you're worried about travelling home. I am possibly a bit too much the other way - if I don't end up sharing a cab with www I'll get the last tube or night bus home with my mobile ready to dial home or the police if anyone comes near me!

sb34 - sorry, I'm not going to Victoria - I live on the Piccadilly Line. I can understand your reluctance now - what an awful thing to happen. I could see you onto the tube at Glos Road but that might not help much. Would the Croydon train not be busy? Hope you decide to make it anyway!

Janus · 30/11/2002 16:21

I think you'll all be meeting up soon so am a little late but hope you all have a wonderful time.
I rather pathetically decided that if I couldn't drink enough to make me sick, as I did at the last meet-up!, I wouldn't go (am rather pregnant and also fall asleep at 10.00pm so hardly riveting company!!!). Someone please drink too much too!
Enjoy everyone and look forward to all your tales!

So sorry to drop out at the last minute, was expecting to get paid some outstanding cash today (enough to go out with) but it never came through

Apologies, everyone, and have an excellent time...

Fionn · 30/11/2002 17:12

MandyD that's a shame. I'll pass on the message. Likewise sb34 if you decide not to come but hope you do.

ScummyMummy · 30/11/2002 17:38

sb34- Custardo and I will be travelling back to Victoria. We'd be very happy to travel with you. Hope you see this!

Rhubarb · 30/11/2002 18:01

Scummy - just make sure Custardo takes her tablets, if she doesn't, keep a knife at the side of your bed for protection!

Have a great time and tell us all about it!
