mellow2 · 25/07/2007 10:53

OK, I've posted this on the other thread.

Foxie,

Are you home this afternoon? Dd and I might come round if it's not pouring. I've texted you too.

SushiMummy · 25/07/2007 11:01

Yeah, must admit when I heard (or sussed) the good news I felt a teeny-weeny bit jealous but don't know why as we are not trying anyway!

mellow2 · 25/07/2007 11:29

I did think of having another baby but I think we've given up now.

Kewcumber · 25/07/2007 11:29

oh congrats Lemon. Jealousy chez Kewcumber too

eleusis · 25/07/2007 12:25

Congrat Lemonaide!!!

On a less cheery note, I have a post from for everyone:

From Nanou:

Hi guys. Sorry I have not been in touch. Have not been on mumsnet for so long I can?t remember when I last posted. Life is pretty much hell and I am close to losing it I think. Everything that could go wrong is going wrong but thankfully I?ll have a good few days as I am off with dd on Friday to see dh in Switzerland. Eleusis is posting this on my behalf as I have to ?watch my back? hence me not going on mumsnet anymore. One of my bosses gave me a verbal warning 2 weeks ago (completely ridiculous), then last week I found out that my job had been advertised on gumtree. Not cool esp since I have not resigned nor do they know that we are going to Switzerland. So I am pretty much being bullied ? which I knew but now it is making it more real. I have been waiting for a meeting to clear the air since Friday and nothing has happened yet. So this is my life at the mo ? pretty crap.

I still don?t know when I am going to Switzerland for good ? but very likely to be end of September that is why I could not come up with some dates for a farewell meet up. Have you guys met recently? What?s been happening? Any gos? Do you know of an alternative medicine good for stress ? I really can?t cope at the mo and any advice will be welcome. I hope you are all well and to see you soon. x

ComeOVeneer · 25/07/2007 12:38

Poor Nanou, life sounds pretty horrid for her atm. Give her my best Ele.

OP posts:
mellow2 · 25/07/2007 12:39

Poor Nanou.

Ele,
Is it alright to send her e-mails?

mellow2 · 25/07/2007 12:40

Btw, I think I'm going to be featured in the Richmond and Twickenham Times.

I hope that means more traffic and ultimately sales for the site.

eleusis · 25/07/2007 12:41

No idea about e-mails. It's probably best to send them to her personal e-mail. If you don't have that e-mail me at work and I'll give it to you.

eleusis · 25/07/2007 12:42

I've also just sent her the dates being discussed for her leaving do and asked her to pick one.

rosmerta · 25/07/2007 13:30

poor nanou

Kewcumber · 25/07/2007 14:20

how miserable for Nanou. Is there anything we can do to help? Could you email me her personal email account Eleusis and I'll offer some moral support.

Foxie (and anyone else) want to do something on Saturday - something nice and stressfree with no work involved? No I don;t know what but I'm sure we can come up with something.

lemonaid · 25/07/2007 14:43

Poor Nanou. Sounds like she needs some moral support.

eleusis · 25/07/2007 14:46

I was supposed to go out with her tonight to cheer her up. But she had to cancel to go find her passport.

Selfishly, this is a real bugger for me 'cause now I have a babysitter and no where to go. Suppose I'll end up at the gym.

Kewcumber · 25/07/2007 14:53

I'm in but much duller than the Gym...

Kewcumber · 25/07/2007 14:55

Paddle do you want to pop over for a chat Thursday night whilst your mum is there?

eleusis · 25/07/2007 15:33

Oh, tempting Kew. But, I just ate a snickers bar so I think I'm committed to the gym now. And then maybe I'll go to Kingston and get some yummy sushi since I missed it last night.

stepfordwife · 25/07/2007 16:19

yes, i feel of lemonaid, too
feel so blessed and lucky to have 3dcs, but..
i blame my irish genes

kew - bumped into your mum and your gorgeous gherkin off to watch the trains. he looked so cute with weetabix in his hair. good thinking - can have it as a snack later
sadly dd was asleep in her buggy so they couldn't enjoy a swift spar

paddle - sorry you've got so much stressful stuff going on. you'll get through but understand how overwhleming it is when it seems to be everythingh sat once and being on yiour own compounds it, doesn't it?

poor nanou - have only met her once but obvious what a lovely person she is. give her my love, ele

take care, chaps
