Hi girls, ok, so I couldn't wait for someone else to start the thread so here it is!

Daytime meetup with kids -

Plan A (sunny) - The Mill, Smug Oak Lane, Bricketwood (as per old thread)
Plan B (raining) - lunch in Watford?

Suggested dates:
Fri Jul 9th
Mon Jul 12th
Fri Jul 23rd

I seem to remember Friday being the best day for people, but feel free to suggest another date if I've got that wrong!

How is ds today Kayleigh?

Kayleigh · 24/07/2004 20:19

thanks for asking anorak but he's not too good. i think a lot more bruising has come out and he's in a lot of pain. Went to dentist again and she said his mouth is still too sore to take x-rays but she is 99% sure his front teeth will have to come out. We are going back thursday and i really hope they fall out before then, but she thought it unlikely. His mouth inside at the top is a right mess. she has given him antibiotics and a mouthwash as he can't clean his teeth, both of which are a major battle for him to take. I'm bloody exhausted.

Not sure we are going to make it to the film premiere tomorrow if he is still like this so if anyone fancies four tickets ...

i hate seeing him like this

melsy · 24/07/2004 20:23

Kayleigh , Im sorry hes in pain , and poor you soo tired. I hope he feels better tommorow. I feel for both of you. Have you tried arnica cream for his face. Im not sure if you can put it there, but its good for trauma in the bones and skin. lots of love xxxxxx

Kayleigh · 24/07/2004 20:26

have been giving him arnnica tablets melsy, but that was a struggle too. I am trying to get them under his tongue so they just dissolve. His mouth is so sore there is no way he would let us put cream anywhere near. He can barely drink through a straw it hurts so much

melsy · 24/07/2004 20:27

What about crushing it into juice ?? I do that with my magnesium sometimes when I cant swallow them. Just use the end of roling pin and bowl.

tammybear · 24/07/2004 20:29

Hi there, it was great to meet with you all on Friday. I am a bit of a part time mumsnetter which is why I am posting today and not before, I will try to get on more regularly. Kayleigh, thanks for you kind words, it was nothing I just wish I could help you take the pain away for ds1. He looks in so much pain. Moor mill was great, lovely venue for groups of adults with kids and fab food. Looking forward to the next meet up already

Thomcat · 26/07/2004 10:05

Hi girls
Just to say it was a lovely afternoon. Can't believe I was the only lush and ordered wine!
Look forward to doing it again and hope that I get to meet more Mumsnetters as well.
Love TC xx
