Hi girls, ok, so I couldn't wait for someone else to start the thread so here it is!

Daytime meetup with kids -

Plan A (sunny) - The Mill, Smug Oak Lane, Bricketwood (as per old thread)
Plan B (raining) - lunch in Watford?

Suggested dates:
Fri Jul 9th
Mon Jul 12th
Fri Jul 23rd

I seem to remember Friday being the best day for people, but feel free to suggest another date if I've got that wrong!

I have completely screwed up. I completely forgot when I offered Nikcola a lift that it is end of term and i will have both boys with me. Plus a friend I asked to come with who originally wasn't sure she could make it is coming so I won't have any extra room in car.
Is there anyone else who will have space for Nikcola with a spare car seat ??? If there isn't I will drop my lot off at the place we're eating and then go back for her.
Sorry Nokcola - will get you there I promise !!!

nikcola · 22/06/2004 14:10

could tammybear get to raddlet station??????

tammybear · 22/06/2004 14:26

may be able to nikcola, ill see what i can do and let you know asap

karen99 · 22/06/2004 16:27

Do you have a car seat Nikcola? How old is your dd? I can always drive via Radlett station. Forgot to mention though that I've got a signing class with ds which finishes at 12/12:15pm so I won't be able to get to Moor Mill till nearer 1pm.

Actually, the signing class is in N. Harrow, very near to pinner, Thomcat! (old times,eh?!) Maybe it's you I should be giving a lift to!

I really don't mind who I pick up.. Is Melsy coming?

Hi girls , & Kayleigh , havent been able to get online much. Was away all weekend and DD is scooting everywere , so dont get the same chance to check everything out on here. Also been to doctors in town for dd & hospital appt for me yesterday.

So have we set a date & venue yet?? Is it Moor Mill in Bricketwood ?? My July isn't booked up YET!!!

I was like you Thomacat a few months ago , Kayleigh drove me everywere(thank-you-kayleigh) !! Im also still a little wary if I dont know were somewere is cos of panic attacks , but Im getting better now. It would be really nice to meet you though after talking with you for months on here.

Nickola do you have a car seat?? , if I can work out were Radlett is I can come for you. Kayleigh is it on the way to Watford ?? its sort of between me and Watford ??

Janstar · 22/06/2004 17:20

nikcola Radlett is the next station after St Albans.

I can help with all this organisation but not till Monday as very busy now. I'll post then with directions to Radlett.

nikcola · 22/06/2004 17:26

ok thanks janstar xxxx

Thomcat · 22/06/2004 17:31

When are you meeting and can someone really pick me up? I'm only here till 4.30 and not here tomorrow so will only be on mumsnet for another 2 hours

Kayleigh · 22/06/2004 17:32

"Hi girls , & Kayleigh " Blimey I know I'm no spring chicken but am I completely excluded from the term "girls" ???

Maybe you should have said "Girls & Old Bags"

Kayleigh · 22/06/2004 17:35

melsy, the date is fri 23rd july.

and yes radlett is sort of between you and watford.

karen99 · 22/06/2004 22:56

I really don't mind who I take, but as I'm near Pinner picking up Thomcat and dd might be easier.

Thomcat, I can pick you up around 12:30 and it should take about 30mins or so to get to BricketWood which is on the other side of Watford. Moor Mill is here but not sure if the arrow is in the right place for the pub.

I'm sure someone can back-track to Radlett station to get Nikcola after dropping off their 'cargo', as Kayleigh suggested (I can do this if needed).

tammybear · 24/06/2004 21:28

by the way, what time are we all meeting, as ive just scrolled through this thread and we havent really said

karen99 · 25/06/2004 20:07

Jan said we could get lunch there, so I guess around 12:30? I'll most likely be there between 1-1:30..

Just a reminder to everyone, this is for JULY 23 not june.

On the map Kayleigh has posted, scroll once to the right and you see where Smug Oak Lane crosses the River Ver. That is where Moor Mill is located, on the North side of the road. Continuing to the end of the road from there you see a big road North-South marked in pink
called Radlett Road. Radlett Station is approx two miles south down this road.

Thomcat · 26/06/2004 15:44

Karen99 - sounds good mate, you're a massive star, thankyou.

nikcola · 26/06/2004 21:17

is everyone bringing their kids? is there some where for them to play? other wise i will have to seddate dd

Janstar · 26/06/2004 21:23

There is a fenced playground with swings slides and climbing frames. Also a huge field for them to run around in and a small river with fish and birds to feed. Along one side of the entrance are fields with horses, donkeys and sheep.

The mill building is a bar/restaurant (An Out & Out) with huge glass panels in front of the mill workings so you can see it all. If it rains they are very tolerant of kids inside the mill too.

Thomcat · 27/06/2004 15:58

i'd be bringing l and she'll have to be inside with us as she's not mobile.

Thomcat · 27/06/2004 16:00

Actually if it's the afternoon and an indoor venus i migh leave it as she'll be trapped in there with us sat round a table and due her nap, which would be okay if we were having cjildlike mass fun but sitting round a table listening to us natter and due a sleep is not the best idea for us.

nikcola · 28/06/2004 02:12

will u come if its not raining and we can all be outside with lottie how old is she thomcat

karen99 · 28/06/2004 19:31

Thomcat, no problem re lift. Just let me know nearer the time what you plan to do.

DS has just started walking so he may be able to join in the playground fun!
