Hi girls, ok, so I couldn't wait for someone else to start the thread so here it is!

Daytime meetup with kids -

Plan A (sunny) - The Mill, Smug Oak Lane, Bricketwood (as per old thread)
Plan B (raining) - lunch in Watford?

Suggested dates:
Fri Jul 9th
Mon Jul 12th
Fri Jul 23rd

I seem to remember Friday being the best day for people, but feel free to suggest another date if I've got that wrong!

Have a lovely time

anorak · 23/07/2004 09:31

Karen the best place to get a table is near the playground area. We'll most likely be there. If there's a shower we'll have to decamp inside for a few minutes.

Melsy, you can always turn up at the last minute if you suddenly feel better. Hoping...

If anyone wants my mobile no in case of getting lost/needing lifts from the station, contact me through CAT. I'm going out now but will be back in an hour and will leave pc on until I leave for Moor Mill.

By the way I am bringing dh again, he is off work through stress but that he will be there anyway.

Thanks fairyfly...wish you were here...

deegward · 23/07/2004 09:36

What time again?

muddaofsuburbia · 23/07/2004 09:49

Still coming!
House is for sale so we have to leave it spotless-ish for viewers coming while we're away.
So major packing frenzy in my house. You notice I still have time to come on Mn though

Will bring schedule of new hoose in bonny Scotland to show you all (whether you like it or not!)

Kayleigh · 23/07/2004 10:13

12:30 or thereabouts
and we'll probably be there for hours so no worries if you are late

deegward · 23/07/2004 11:23

mudda, where in the homeland? (scotland)

muddaofsuburbia · 23/07/2004 11:26

Deegward - near Balmaha, Loch Lomond. Are you an exile too?

deegward · 23/07/2004 11:36

yes, Edinburgh born and bred, until three years ago. Looking forward to seeing your photo, will be lovely there (apart from the midges!)

anorak · 23/07/2004 11:38

I'm frantically moving stuff for my friend who is doing a floor in my house. Hope to be there by 12.30. I'll leave pc on till the last minute in case anyone wants a lift or anything.

StickyNote · 23/07/2004 12:07

Kayleigh, you've won the film tickets but you have to get in touch by 1pm!!! See the "Final shout for samantha1" thread

anorak · 23/07/2004 12:31

Leaving now! Got your message Rachel and will phone Kayleigh on her mobile now.

Rachel (mumsnet) · 23/07/2004 13:11

Just to up date y'all, been a frantic hour trying to contact Kayleigh at The Mill but was greeted by a rather weary reservations manager, going, "there's one hundred and fifty tables out there, how am I expected to find someone when you don't even know their real name?" Then it turns out Kayleigh actually isn't at the meetup as her son has had an accident this morning and she had to take him to hospital. Good news is he's fine, but can't go swimming on Sunday. However, he now has the good news coming that instead he'll be attending a film premiere! Have spoken with Kayleigh and tickets are on their way. I'm sure you'll agree, we couldn't have a more deserving winner in the end! Thanks to all those who helped us reach her in time and have a great time Kayleigh.

Rachel, Carrie and Justine

StickyNote · 23/07/2004 13:32

Would like to add I'm not a weird stalker type person but have been following this thread to see if you arranged another one so I could be brave and come along .

At least Kayleigh would have to talk to me

tammybear · 23/07/2004 16:36

nikcola · 23/07/2004 18:20

come on then dish the dirt did you have a lovely time xxxxx

deegward · 23/07/2004 18:22

Just to say to all - we had a lovely time, albeit we left sharpish due to ds1 ds1 was telling dh that he had made new friends especially Thomas!! as he was babysitting him.

ds2 is still asleep but enjoyed himself. Good to put names to mn names. Dh asked did we call each other by our call signs and I have to say I still thought of everyone by their mn name. Mudda, hope we are able to meet up again before the move back north! You were all lovely and I'm just sad i haven't been to one before. big

LittleMissScatterbrain · 23/07/2004 19:25

deegward, re: Thomas!

Yes, it was a really nice afternoon. Great venue anorak! DS really enjoyed running (waddling!) off everywhere! He only had 20mins sleep today so fingers crossed he'll lie in tomorrow.. but wishful thinking I'm sure...

Must say, missed Melsy and tammybear... see you both soon hopefully (and the others new to the Watford meetups)

LittleMissScatterbrain · 23/07/2004 19:26

Arrrghhhh mudda! Forgot to say I've just found your kneepads in the back of my car - DOH! Next time...

LittleMissScatterbrain · 23/07/2004 19:28

Hi Stickynote.. hope you can make the next one! Where are you based?

[Sorry girls, can't seem to put all this in one entry.. now you know what I changed my talk name!!]

melsy · 23/07/2004 19:31

Thanks little missy !! I missed you all too, poor little mites had a bad day , had a screamin fit trying to get the eye drops into her little eyes. There so swollen and puffy it makes me uspet. I wouldnt have wnated to subject anyone to that happening to the little ones. I dont feel so grand either , but my mum came for a couple of hours for company and baby dutys. Bless her.

Hopefully another day will be arranged when we can all make it in August. Id love to go to moor mill, as Kayleigh said it was lovely.

My love and wishes goes out to Kayleigh and her ds , hope he heals well and quickly. xxxxxxxxxxxx

anorak · 23/07/2004 19:33

Hi everyone, great afternoon, came home and went splat onto my bed with overhead fan on, so overheated but had a great time.

DD2 is charmed to bits by all the tinies and said she had a lovely time.

Hope your ds feels well again soon Kayleigh - bless!

Kayleigh · 23/07/2004 20:25

It was lovely to see you all again & meet deegward and thomcat, just sorry it was so brief. Fabulous place though, a great find - will definitely be going back.

Ds1 is asleep now just hope the swelling goes down tomorrow so the dentist can sort his teeth out as that seems to be bothering him the most. Thanks for all your good wishes.

And can I just say a special thank-you to daisydoolittle - she was just brilliant this morning. She is a really great friend and I don't know what I'd have done without her. She really kept me calm when i was ready to freak out this morning. Big big hug XX

Kayleigh · 23/07/2004 20:33

oh, and thank you StickyNote for helping track me down today. We now have the tickets and are all set for Sunday. I owe you a drink so you have to come to the next meet-up
