Watford daytime meetup with kids (July)

Hi girls, ok, so I couldn't wait for someone else to start the thread so here it is!

Daytime meetup with kids -

Plan A (sunny) - The Mill, Smug Oak Lane, Bricketwood (as per old thread)
Plan B (raining) - lunch in Watford?

Suggested dates:
Fri Jul 9th
Mon Jul 12th
Fri Jul 23rd

I seem to remember Friday being the best day for people, but feel free to suggest another date if I've got that wrong!

I'll be there as long as I'm packed for our holidays - we leave whenever dh gets home from work.

Finally decided on what to change my talk name to, but I think it might give me RSI! Good timing as there's a karen01 I haven't seen before on the threads! As if you haven't guessed I'm karen99! Thought the name was quite apt and very real!

OK me and two rugrats are ready for Friday. but how do I get there. Know how to get to M! / M25 from Watford. Do I turn off at Bricket Wood? And what's it called again?

Hi deegard, someone posted a link to a map further down this thread. Here's directions anyway...

Coming from Watford, M1 junction 6, follow sign to Bricket Wood, do a U-turn through the traffic lights on the dual carriageway and turn left and second left into Mount Pleasant Lane. Follow the road for about a mile, till you see a pub called the Gate, turn right into Smug Oak Lane. Continue down Smug Oak Lane for about a mile and you will see the entrance to Moor Mill on the left.

Checked forecast again and still bright sunshine for Friday. So looks like it will be the Moor Mill on Smug Oak Lane. Meet-up approx 12:30ish till whenever we finish.

Think this is the final list - the only maybe is Tammybear, hope you can make it honey. Anyone else that wants to join in is more than welcome.

DS went to his first swim party today and was thoroughly knackered this evening. He missed sleep yesterday aswell so I really don't know what mood he'll be in tomorrow. He may need a redbull...

Im afrid Im gonna have to back out last minute girls , was really looking forward to it. DD has contracted conjunctivis in both eyes and is really distressed this evening. Dont know were it came from as she was fine all day until bedtime. I also have some cold/fluey thing which I thought I would fight off, but its got the better of me this afternoon .Im back to the doctors in the morning , as was there this afternoon before I saw her eyes go all gook . So bit crappy here, I also didnt think you would all thank me if I spread the lurgy. So have a great time, Im really upset as I wanted to meet all the other girls . Give me all the juicy details after. Enjoy xx
