I do hope that there is someone out there from NI (Co Down specifically) that could meet up. Our Mums and Tots are great, but I would like to organise something a bit different!!!

I am a mum from county down interested in meeting up with other mums from the area...

pandi52 · 19/09/2006 18:00

Hi lblouise,

I was starting to think there was no one out there!!
Where and when? It looks like it may only be the 2 of us plus babes.

I have 8 month ds, still off work for a couple of months. I am in Bangor, with a car. We could go for coffee somewhere in the middle!!

I thought I was the only "Norn Irish" mn. Am not far from Belfast so count me in for a meet up.

pandi52 · 20/09/2006 09:47

Happy days!!! Have you a good day free for coffee during the week?

Friday mornings are usually good. DD and DS are at school so just me and DD2 at home. Have been meaning to go to the Asda near westlink for a shop so could meet in Belfast?

lblouise · 20/09/2006 13:02

Hi Pandi and other NI mums I am in Bangor too, also with car in afternoons, let me know when suits to meet up!

pandi52 · 20/09/2006 21:38

How about this Friday morning at the starbucks in Boucher? I am going to Cyprus this day week 27th for a fortnight. So if that didn't suit i will catch up when we get back.
Sorry to abandon you NI mums. I had tried this before with no response and didn't think I would have any luck this time!! I promise to check MN when I get back.
Now that we know who we are fire away and meet in the meantime. (Don't mind miss bossy boots here!!!!!!!!!!!!)

don't think I could get the car fri morn, my sense of direction is terrible and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to find it anyway! Is anyone else meeting up, if not maybe we could meet in Bangor? Forgot to say my DS is 8 months too!

Guess I don't count since I live across the water in sunny Kent, but just wanted to say hello to you all and welcome to mn any of you who are new here. I recognise a couple of names.
I'm a Co. Down girl myself.

Hope you all have good craic when you meet-up.

lovingbarney · 20/09/2006 22:47

ditto aero i am in Buckinghamshire also a county down girl. Clicked onto this one too ASda in N.Ireland!?! good luck with your get together.

Aero · 20/09/2006 22:54

Lol lovingbarney - I thought exactly the same re asda in NI. To think I shop there most weeks without a second thought! I'm reliably informed by my Mum that there's one in Downpatrick now on the old Safeway site (which was actually the bus station when I went to school there!!!)

badkarma · 20/09/2006 22:58

I'm from Co:Antrim

Too far for a meet but just wanted to say Hiya was a Co:Derry girl before DH carried me off to Co: Antrim

lovingbarney · 20/09/2006 23:11

Big fancy bus station in Downpatrick now aero don't really catch buses anymore worst luck!! sometimes wish i was jumping onto an ulster bus instead of easyjet home!!!

Aero · 20/09/2006 23:15

Me neither LB. Will be easyjetting it home for half-term soon. Kids can't wait. I'm from B'hinch really, but went to school in Dpk.

lovingbarney · 20/09/2006 23:27

sorry pandis52,for interrupting your get together arrangements N.Ireland Aero nice to know you are from home I'm from Newcastle. Off to bed now wrecked hopefully talk again soon.

Aero · 20/09/2006 23:28

Night.

Yes, sorry pandi52 - sorry for little hi-jack too.

lblouise · 21/09/2006 09:34

hi to all the NI mums, quite a few now, even tho some are across the water! Crystaltips and multitasker, let us know when suits? bethron, understand ur tied up just now but let us know if you fancy a meet up and we could arrange near you!

multitasker · 21/09/2006 09:52

The great thing about NI is that if we picked somewhere central it would be within travelling distance for everyone yeah? So I suggest we wait untill nearer Xmas - by then I.m sure there will be hundreds of us, and then arrange a get together.
In the mean time its great to know ther are other Mums who may understand my lingo/sarcasm/poor attempt at wit. I'm a SAHM having left work 4 years ago. I guess I got tired trying to juggle everything you know and realised the one thing I could live without was my job. After a couple of months of doing a Shirley Valentine(talking to the wall) I realised I had made the best decision. Now I have 3 under 8 and life is sweet.
