Good Morning Campers Smile

Sorry for starting this a bit late - meant to do it last night Blush

Here's the spreadsheet

Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Already seen some great losses recorded on the Week 1 thread so that's heartening Smile. It's always great seeing how newbies see that it really does work Grin

But don't despair if you haven't lost as much as others. Remember, this isn't a competition. We're all here with different startpoints, and everyone loses at a different rate anyway. We all need to KOKO.

One more week of strict Boot Camp and then we can choose to go on to Boot Canp Light for those of us who want to Halo

Well done on all the loses!

I have a mirror next to my scales. A couple of weeks ago when I weighed my self I saw that the top half of my stomach stuck out more that the bottom! I thought I would have to lose at least a couple of stones to see any difference but this morning I noticed my stomach is already evening out.

BIWI · 24/10/2022 10:11

I'm sure that the last thing you want to read or think about right now is water, @prettybird!

...that's why I wasn't good on the water front yesterday Grin

Seriously though, I'm glad my "non-scientific explanation/visualisation" tallies with the official one Halo

I'd started doing a very halfhearted lower carb woe last week before I found this, so despite not having really started boot camp yet, I've managed to drop 3lbs which I'm pretty happy with.

Definitely need to get much stricter though! I know that milk is meant to be avoided; do people opt for cream in their morning coffee, or are there any better options? Can't function without it!

prettybird · 24/10/2022 10:20

Just checked back and I'm half a stone up on where I was this time last year ShockBlush.

But I am where I am, so I just have to KOKO. It incentivises me to focus on this WoE Smile

prettybird · 24/10/2022 10:23

@TakeItCheesy - you can try cream in your coffee but if you find you're stalling, you may need to review how much dairy you're having.

I would suggest that if you lost 3lb last week on a halfhearted lower carb version, that you're ok with cream for the moment Smile

@Skiphopbump - that's s great NSV Flowers

UnOeufIsEnough · 24/10/2022 10:23

Thank you @Backstreets Flowers I've got a fair bit to lose so it's a great step in the right direction!!

Well done on your loss too! And everyone else! StarHalo

KarenW · 24/10/2022 10:36

I cant add anything to the spreadsheet either, can another link be put up?

ZiggZagg · 24/10/2022 10:42

Good morning campers!

Just checking in to mark my place.

9.8lbs down on the scales for me, I'm very happy! Will keep me motivated!

Hope everyone has a fabulous Monday, although I do feel a bit as if I've been hit by a bus! But that's probably because of the long drive on Friday mixed with Fibro!

KOKO, drink your water and enjoy!

FinallyHere · 24/10/2022 10:53

Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

@KarenW Please let me know @FinallyHere if that does work either, Soz. Normal business will be resumed shortly :-)

BIWI · 24/10/2022 10:56

That link works for me @FinallyHere! Thank you

KarenW · 24/10/2022 10:56

The new link works, thanks

FinallyHere · 24/10/2022 10:58

There might already be a resolved link @Lucienandjean Here it is just in case

Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

venusandmars · 24/10/2022 11:53

@agnesmartin i love a cheese and ham 'sandwich' - a slice of cheese (buttered), sluxe of ham, slices of cucumber, squirt of mayo. Same for the 'lid' of the sandwich. Cut into delicate triangles.

For pizza, I use a big mushroom as the base, with the same toppings that everyone else is having. Or you could try meatzza which has a base of minced beef (or meat loaf).

venusandmars · 24/10/2022 11:55

1.3 pounds down. Not a lot but the right direction. Not enough water so far as I was running late for my train to Glasgow and no time to pick up a peppermint tea.

Baystard · 24/10/2022 12:11

Thanks for the new thread @prettybird.

Well done everyone on their losses and KOKO-ing. Good luck to Velma Van @ditavonteesed!

4lb off today having started on Thursday, so I'm very happy, and feel so much better now that I've regained control over my eating.

Lucienandjean · 24/10/2022 12:14

@FinallyHere thanks for the new link, that worked just fine.

prettybird · 24/10/2022 12:19

If anyone has dh/dps (males Wink) who are also doing this, be warned that blokes seem to be able to tolerate a higher level of carbs and still lose weightHmm

Dh is half doing this along with me (still having the odd beer, wine, Lidl curry with rice....) and is still managing to lose weight Angry.

But another upside is that he has specifically noticed the quick positive effect on his waist and how he is now able to get into trousers and his kilt that he'd not been able to get into not long ago Grin

Chocasaurus · 24/10/2022 12:37

Some great losses, well done everyone. I was down 2lb when I weighed in early before going away, so will use that for this week and hope I have time to reverse the damage from the non BC friendly trip away by next week!

I've got an appt at the Fertility Clinic on the 5th Dec and would love to be in the 10s by then...currently 11:12.

WitchWand · 24/10/2022 12:39

Down just over 4lbs here. Very pleased with that. And it's great to sense that ketosis has finally begun to kick in. My body is feeling far less agitated and I've begun to sleep better. Plus, I'm extra thirsty.

Thanks for the new thread @prettybird and for the help with the link @FinallyHere .

Thanks too for the reminder about the reasons for the water @BIWI . I know they're on the spreadsheet . But it's was great to bring them to the forefront of things right now. After reading them through, it struck me that I can suddenly get little cravings for something sweet, whereas I know I'm actually really thirsty. It was good to remind myself that the reasons are natural and physical. That way I don't get into berating myself as if it was a figment of my imagination !

Well done to everyone who's gone down this week and well done to everyone who's not quite satisfied yet but is still KOKO. Take care.

Zambarau · 24/10/2022 12:56

I've not been able to properly start due to a few celebratory events and poor planning. Amazingly, I've maintained. Will start properly today.

Porridgeislife · 24/10/2022 13:02

1.6lbs down for me this week. Not a huge loss but my body is pretty keen to hang onto weight breastfeeding & we did Bootcamp Light.

So far I’ve managed to turn down Krispy Kreme at baby group, although in fairness I know they’re so sweet they make my teeth hurt!

B - scrambled eggs and coffee
L - will probably be a full English sans toast and beans as I’m out for lunch
D - leftover roast pork and veg. The chef didn’t crackle the rind on the roast 😯so I’m going to investigate doing this with the leftovers.

JudyBlumesBlubber · 24/10/2022 13:18

i Forgot to weigh myself so will have to do it tomorrow. I think I’m about 2 lbs down but we will see.

Well done to all the losers!

ERDC · 24/10/2022 13:25

Hello all and well done to everyone for getting through the first week. I was lurking on the last thread as they go so quickly in the first few weeks but really enjoy reading everyone’s experiences and menu suggestions. I started at 214.1 and my first weigh in is at 212.1 which I’m very pleased with as it’s definitely been a struggle for me to change my eating habits to fit this WOE. I don’t think I realised just how often I have carbs!!

I can’t seem to edit the spreadsheet as I don’t have the app so I will just record my weekly weigh in in the thread for the added motivation. Hope everyone is drinking water and getting ready for a new week.

poorbuthappy · 24/10/2022 13:31

@Zambarau I am starting today also as last week I was off work post op and am back at the desk this week so normality means off the sugar.
So yeah a week behind! But I originally started in Oct 2020 and lost 20lbs over 2 bootcamps. Managed to keep it off more or less. But have just had hysterectomy and have started HRT so it's now part of my "get back on it" plan for the next stage of my life.
Good results this week.
Drink the water all!!!
