Jan '20 - Week 2 Low Carb Bootcamp - How did you do?

We've already seen some fab results, especially from those who started early. We do expect a big variation in the first weigh in. Some of you will have lost several pounds, some a more modest loss. Others won't have lost anything yet either because some healing is needed before weight loss begins in earnest, or because they didn't quite manage to stick to the rules during the first week.

So please check in with us to reflect on how your first week has gone. Try not to compare yourself to others because weight loss is a very individual thing. If you have any concerns about your progress then please do ask. We have had thousands of people through Bootcamp so make use of that collective experience.

Add your weight to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness or tag the rather wonderful ShagMeRiggins with your weigh-in if you can't access the spreadsheet yourself. If you're only just starting then please tag the very lovely AthelstaneTheUnready to be added to the spreadsheet. And to anybody that suspected they couldn't lose weight while eating lots of lovely food, and without feeling hungry... I hope you enjoyed being proved wrong!

Thanks stuntnun!

Woke up very excited this morning to weigh myself and am thrilled with a 9.4lb loss! Whoop.

This BC is timed perfectly for me as I return to work the week this finishes so have lots of motivation to stick to it and try and maintain this woe as it's really working for me.

Thanks for all the inspiration!

Now to go back to sleep for an hour before I have to start getting ready for the school run.

El2El · 20/01/2020 06:08

Woken up early by a snuffly baby and a cold so went and weighed myself. Very happy with my loss this week, particularly as we've had a guest all week so had to have bread etc in the house. Thanks everyone.

Hagbeth · 20/01/2020 06:15

I gained 2 lbs! It’s the cream, I’m addicted to the stuff! Grin

HouseTornado · 20/01/2020 06:19

Could someone add my weight please - 141. Thanks Smile

Pleased with that, at least it’s a step in the right direction! Not sure what exercise I’ll get done today, I usually try and walk a few miles each morning after the school run but I’ve got an assignment due in weds so I need to make a start on that!

Have a great day all

PinkSubscriber · 20/01/2020 06:46

Morning I’m not sure how to tag someone. Please could somebody kindly add my new weight to the ssof. 125.0 lbs that’s a 5lbs loss.

I can now wear my jeans without wondering when I can take them off again because they’re so uncomfortable ☺️

Mimosa1 · 20/01/2020 06:54

3kg off for me which I'm really pleased with as I've been doing BC light - I have a lot to lose though. Just a bit more to get to into the 70s.

Dh is away all week which ought to make things easier as long as I don't pick off tho kids' plates. Onwards! And congratulations to everyone who's stuck with it this week.

SayrraT · 20/01/2020 06:55

Good morning and good luck for the weigh in losers.

I've very pleased the weight I'd lost on Thurs is still off so one week in and I've lost 5lbs Grin

Food for Today

B: 2 eggs in a cup with 2 frankfurters and coffee with cream
L: leftover garlic beef strips, turnip and crunchy veggies (cucumber / celery) on the side.

Rshard · 20/01/2020 07:00

Morning everyone

Thanks for the week 2 thread stuntnun.

Well done to the losers so far and all those to come.

3lbs off for me which I’m happy with, I’ll update the sof once at work on the laptop.

Good luck for week 2!

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 20/01/2020 07:05

I've gone with Friday's weight as it's lower than today's. It was DD's birthday party yesterday so I did have a bit of the cake I'd slaved over.

Think I'll stick with Friday weigh-ins in future!

Exitstrategist · 20/01/2020 07:05

3lbs down for me this week- the lightest I’ve been since before two babies. Thrilled! That’s 11 lbs off since end October. Target is another 11lbs- hope to be there by end of bootcamp. I’m far from strict as breastfeeding so just being sensible and eliminating the main culprits- bread, cake, pasta, etc. Hubby has noticed- next 11lbs will make a huge difference. Have a beautiful new Fairfax and Favor belt which is too small and spurring me on!

Stegasaurusmum · 20/01/2020 07:09

4lbs which I'm really happy with. I wasn't great yesterday as it was DHs birthday and toast dinner planned, but just avoided spuds, did have a tiny bit of a Yorkshire pud though...

Onwards and upwards, already feel better in myself, less bloated.

Food today is a bit as hoc, nothing planned for dinner, prob omelette.

littlebillie · 20/01/2020 07:21

3lbs - 11 to go

PseudoBadger · 20/01/2020 07:27

Tiny loss, better than a gain!

MsAwesomeDragon · 20/01/2020 07:33

I've lost 6 lbs so that's great! I had a fall from grace yesterday after I took dd swimming, I was STARVING and had forgotten to take a snack so have in to the temptation of chocolate. I wish I hadn't, but back to being strict today.

Breakfast will be Greek yogurt
Lunch butternut squash soup
Dinner, not sure, possibly a stir fry.
Snacks corned beef, cucumber, babybel, pepperami

Teapotdespot · 20/01/2020 07:34

Morning all,

Bit disappointed this morning because I’ve regained 3lbs since my lowest weight during the week over the last couple of days. I’ve been sticking to it though, so I think it’s just the week 3 curse. To make myself feel better I tried on my boot camp belt (didn’t go round me 2 weeks ago!) and I’m on the second hole Grin

I’ve used my lowest weight this week as my spreadsheet number, hope that’s ok?

Jan '20 - Week 2 Low Carb Bootcamp - How did you do?
MrsBertBibby · 20/01/2020 07:35

Morning!

7.5 pounds down! Irritating that I was actually a pound less than that on Saturday and Sunday, but I invariably seem to bobble up a bit on a Monday, so I guess I know I'm on the way there.

Keep it up all!

Glittercandle · 20/01/2020 07:38

7lbs lost, very pleased and well on the way to losing 30lbs this boot camp.

This is the start of week 3 for me - hoping not to stall like some do.

Doilooklikeatourist · 20/01/2020 07:39

4lb off , I’m so pleased , especially as I’ve had a filthy cold and did cheat ( I'm looking at you , Chardonnay ) a couple of times

Just having a coffee ( no milk ) in bed ( wearing dressing gown and with a hot water bottle as I live in a draughty old house and it’s very cold )

Will have a good look ay the recipe thread and do my shopping list as I have a day off today and time to plan

MsAwesomeDragon · 20/01/2020 07:42

I have noticed this week that I have been a lot less windy. I've always had a bit of a problem with being farty, but hadn't really figured out what was causing it. I now think it was the carbs/sugar.

MrsBertBibby · 20/01/2020 07:43

So, goals. I would really like to get into the 11 stone somethings. I was 12 4 at the end of my last bootcamp, so although I may not make that this bc, I'd like to get there before the summer.

This week, I am hoping to get into the 12s. I forgot to do a bit of work clothes reviewing annoyingly. I have a gorgeous winter trouser suit I am sure is OK now, but I need to find its missing button which is stashed somewhere, and it's putting me off.

mrshoho · 20/01/2020 07:43

4lbs off so very pleased.

Have a great second week all.

Lionsleepstonight · 20/01/2020 07:45

Not quite sure how this happened but 11lb lost!
Please could some one add my weight of 175 to the ssheet.

B= scrambled eggs with cream and butter with bacon and creamy coffee
L = chicken salad with avacado and mayo. Side of pork scratchings
D = beef stirfry with lots of green veg, washed down with a creamy coffee.

And all the water.
