Forgot to add lily that that's a great list of foods. I've got some new inspiration.

purpleviolet1 · 04/10/2017 12:28

Thanks so much guys !

BIWI · 04/10/2017 12:46

@purpleviolet1 co and check out the Bootcamp recipe thread - it's stickied at the top of the Bootcamp topic. Lots of lovely recipes there to inspire you!

purpleviolet1 · 04/10/2017 12:50

Thank you!

HippadoppaloppaGammeldag · 04/10/2017 12:52

Thanks everyone. He's gone. Sad They are donating his organs though, so some good will come out of his death. Treasure every day; life can change on a penny.

BIWI · 04/10/2017 13:02

Sorry to hear that Hippa Sad

Veryflummoxed · 04/10/2017 13:41

Nomore the soup I'm currently sipping was
Made with leftover roasted in butter broccoli and cauliflower, left over mashed buttered swede, some sliced shallots fried in butter all boiled up in some chicken stock and liquidised. Very rich and Filling and delicious.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 04/10/2017 14:00

hippa I'm very sorry for your loss. Flowers

I'm really struggling lately to cook myself much of anything. By the time I finish all my work and childcare I'm just exhausted and end up assembling rather than cooking. It's all the right foods, which is good, but it's getting boring and most of the times it's cold food (salads, mostly). I want hot food!

(Mostly I want lilydaisyrose to come cook for me. Envy AngryGrin)

Gammeldagfinderonwheels · 04/10/2017 14:02

Hippa I'm so sorry for your loss, but what an amazing thing to be selfless enough to donate his organs. Sending you my love and prayers FlowersFlowersFlowers

TimeIhadaNameChange · 04/10/2017 14:41

Am so very sorry to hear that, Hippa. Hugs. x

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 04/10/2017 15:02

I’m very sorry hippa. I lost my brother and a cousin in a similar way. Good that his organs will go to help someone.

ASDismynormality · 04/10/2017 15:03

Sorry for your loss hippa Flowers

MOIST · 04/10/2017 15:38

Hippa. I'm so sorry. Sending peace and love xx

HippadoppaloppaGammeldag · 04/10/2017 16:53

Thank you everyone. Felt too sick for lunch, so had a couple of exploded babybels just now. We're all organ donors in this family, it's the least you can do really (in my opinion.)

Very I love making random soup and random concoctions out of leftovers. It's often highly delicious.

Thiswillbemyusername · 04/10/2017 17:17

Thank you for all the recipe ideas everyone. I've just bought myself an A4 notepad and I'm in the process of writing them all down.

After the carby weekend I'm back on the wagon

Today:

B: 2 hard boiled eggs
L: full fat Greek yoghurt, 2 babybel
D: roast chicken, bacon, mushroom, spinach and kale (I found that recipe on here sorry I've forgotten who posted it but thank you, you were right it's amazing)

Thiswillbemyusername · 04/10/2017 17:18

Sorry about your loss Hippa :(

Veryflummoxed · 04/10/2017 18:12

Late breakfast/ snack, slice roast beef
Lunch, the last of the vegetable soup
Dinner, roast pork fillet wrapped in bacon. , sausage meat stuffing, mashed celeriac, green beans and sprouts.

Following my downfall at the weekend I am not having dairy. It had all crept up considerably

TimeIhadaNameChange · 04/10/2017 18:42

Since Kale has been mentioned a few times recently, can I ask, is it nice? I buy it weekly, but just for the animals. I do like cabbage, and sometimes steal some from the rabbits, but for some reason I've never tried Kale. What's the best thing to do with it?

HippadoppaloppaGammeldag · 04/10/2017 19:05

I do mine like Spinach, so just add it to things & have it creamed etc. Kale crisps are nice as well, just stick on a baking tray with oil & whatever seasoning you fancy & bake until crispy & delish.

littlebillie · 04/10/2017 20:38

Hippa 💐** so sorry

purpleviolet1 · 04/10/2017 21:26

Hippa so sorry Flowers, I’ve just read back now. Death can be really difficult to process; take it easy.

Day 1 - proud of myself Smile

B - full fat Greek yogurt (tomorrow going to add vanilla essence to help it be more edible)
L- 2 scrambled eggs with sautéed mushrooms
D - mixed herbs chicken breast, chicken kebab, birds eye veg (sweet corn peas and green beans) and 2 Yorkshire puddings.

I know the Yorkshire pudds were an epic fail but this is the least amount of carbs I’ve probably ever eaten. I resisted a can of coke which I would normally not think twice about - easily have up to a couple cans a day.

Also managed to get out for a 38 min walk

BIWI · 04/10/2017 22:04

@purpleviolet1 - not just the Yorkshire Puddings! Sweetcorn and peas are also definitely not allowed on Bootcamp, as they're way too high in carbs.

prettybird · 04/10/2017 22:43

Sorry I've been AWOL. Blush

Also really sorry to hear the sad news about your family member Hippa {{{{UnMN Hugs}}}} Flowers Organ donation is such a positive thing - I'm on the register but unfortunately dh is squeamish/cynical/worried about it so won't go on it himself (so if anything were to happen to him, I'd have to abide by his wishes and not donate any of his organs Sad)

I stalled for a bit at 13 stone 5lb, but have finally shifted to 13stone 4lb on Monday and in fact this morning was 13stone 3.25lb Smile If I can get to 13stone 3lb by Monday's start of Boot Camp, then I can start it officially as "Overweight" rather than "Obese" Smile

YoLoGammelZammoDag · 04/10/2017 23:03

Sending warm thoughts to you and your family hippa

lilydaisyrose lovely food ideas.

I've had/still have the shits I'm sad to report. My guts are rebelling. First terrible constipation and now the floodgates have opened and Noah's ark has departed along with the entire red sea. Shock. I have therefore completed a day of unwilling fasting. Im starving but I cannot trust my body to accept food with any grace. This has been getting worse now for a whole week. Sad . And the pain is literally crippling. Any ideas what I can do to help myself? I need to get back to normal.

On the plus side I had a new low on the scales today.

Gammeldragz · 05/10/2017 05:36

Yolo, ouch! You poor thing. Have you tried heat pads for the cramping? Or Buscopan? That's good for stomach cramps. I'm sure there's a medicine for calming down the diarrhoea as well... Make sure to get some electrolytes, if you aren't eating.
Hope you're feeling better soon.
