Don't know how my post ended up with loads of strike through!!!!!!!! There is a gremlin in the system, ''tis the evil carb gremlin arrived from Denmark to stalk me.

prettybird · 06/10/2017 08:42

Faced with those choices C4 - I'd go for Option 1. Blush

But you'll have to do so very mindfully - enjoy every mouthful, stop when full - and describe everything to us Wink

As you say, Boot Camp starts on Monday! Grin

MOIST · 06/10/2017 08:43

Difficult one.

I would say fuckit and enjoy the night. But my will power is zero and i cheat a lot. Which is why I'm still fat.
Even if i did like scarlet o Nara and ate before i went out, I'd then still cheat.

Lola might get overtired and show you up in some way so keep the babysitter.

Veryflummoxed · 06/10/2017 08:54

Option 1. I’m assuming this isn’t something that’s coming your way again in the near future. Eat mindfully and enjoy. Appreciate every sip and mouthful and then straight back on it for bootcamp. (As its going to be excellent quality food you might even find that it’s quite easy to low carb without feeling you’re missing out. However that won’t count for the champagneGrin)

Veryflummoxed · 06/10/2017 08:56

Oh and C4 your new name is perfect. Well done Ragz

YoLoGammelZammoDag · 06/10/2017 09:06

c4 i suggest you take your Gammeldags with you, and eat the food there that IS low carb. Just pick out what isn't and leave it. Your handbag snacks can fill any hunger gaps. And enjoy a glass or two of fizz but No More!! You know how slippery that slope is!!! Grin much as we loved your Danish rantings.

Just think of it this way, do you want the first two or three weeks of boot camp to be a huge scale success or do you just want to be trying to lose what you gained over one evening and therefore starting behind?? And regretting it.

And a babysitter? I'd put her in my handbag (or cosied up in the car in her bed) if I couldn't bear for her to be home alone. But I refer to my earlier post about making a rod for your own back ( no pun intended). Grin

God, I'm bossy today.

Mimosa1 · 06/10/2017 09:14

C4 - I also concur with option 1! Enjoy it, don't gorge, and start back on the woe properly in time for bootcamp. I am having a milestone birthday fa couple of days after the start of BC and I'm planning to do something similar.

I had my "reward" massage last night and I kept visualising the masseuse bursting fat cells (she used quite a lot of pressure) which I'd then flush out but a quick google shows this is entirely fantasy and massage does not particularly aid fat loss, ha! Annoyingly I'm up a lbs today. I'm very close to being under 80kg, another 2lbs to go and it's moving in the wrong direction for no discernible reason. As I've always weighed in kilos (metric system growing up), 80kg "means" something to me in a way that lbs, let alone stones, really don't. On an emotional level, stones are completely neutral for me, which would be a good way to measure if it wasn't so bloody complicated :-)

I've been drinking too many milky teas and diet cokes, and not enough water, so planning to tackle those on strict BC next week. It's shocking, but I don't think I've gone 2 weeks without a Diet Coke since I was a teenager. Curious to see if it makes a difference.

ilovecherries · 06/10/2017 09:26

Personally I would do (and have done) option two. Minus broadcasting the fact my body is a temple. But clearly I have turned into a boring fart!

purpleviolet1 · 06/10/2017 09:33

@ilovecherries that’s great! You’ve done so well with the loss.

@YoLoGammelZammoDag thank you for that kick up the backside. I’m gonna do this. I just don’t want to push myself so much that I rebel. I think I’ll see how I go over the weekend and perhaps join the bootcamp with a caveat that if it gets too much I’ll relax a little with dairy and having whichever veg I like - this would be a massive improvement from normal diet so still a success for me Smile
Normal diet so

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 06/10/2017 09:48

C4 option 1.**
Grimbles sorry I didn’t realise you meant in carb order.* I find the alphabetical list used as I just look up the veggies when I’m planning my meals.*

Insomnia again!!!! Does anyway anyone know if intermittent fasting contribute to it ??

I think its cause I’m stressing about my BIL and SIL coming this weekend and going onto me about diets etc.** Also I’m stressed about waiting for our building work to start on the extension

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 06/10/2017 09:50

Oh not bolded again there’s definitely a carb gremlin lurking around !!!!

ClearEyesFullHearts · 06/10/2017 10:04

C4, I know you were only half joking, but please don't sneak Lola into the charity event. If for no other reason, she's not on the guest list.

I'd go for Option 1 and enjoy myself but still avoid the obvious numpty food such as bread rolls and puddings. Then again, I've never had a problem abstaining from desserts, they're not my thing.

If you do go full tilt we will be watching you like a hawk come Bootcamp proper. Grin

Mimosa I generally measure in pounds as every little loss "counts" more quickly. Yes, I know that makes no sense.

Namaste, Bitches.

Thiswillbemyusername · 06/10/2017 10:13

Ah I didn't realise they weren't allowed :S bye bye weetabix, in the bin you go

@ClearEyesFullHearts I had a look in her fridge and only found ham, cheese and pickle so I made a Sandwich whilst she was in bed and then she made dinner after, which I wasn't expecting. The scales were alright with me thankfully :D

HippadoppaloppaGammeldag · 06/10/2017 12:52

this I got a half marathon PB on eggs & chorizo, so definitely no need for weetabix!

C4 - there's bound to be something low carb. I'd go with option 2 personally. I thought champagne was fairly low?

My food today:
L - leftover pulled pork and salad
D - using up leftovers, so random cheese, deli meat, olives, veg etc. Then out with the school mums, so lots of gin! Grin

purpleviolet1 · 06/10/2017 13:46

I had a butternut squash which I need to do something with, was thinking of making a soup with it alongside red peppers but I think these are both carby veg?

starsky22 · 06/10/2017 14:01

purple butternut squash is about 10g of carb per 100g so yes too carby for BC, as we try to keep to under 4g per 100g.

HippadoppaloppaGammeldag · 06/10/2017 14:05

purple Butternut squash and chilli soup is nice with greek yoghurt to thicken. Make sure you eat it before Monday though as too carby for bootcamp! Grin

purpleviolet1 · 06/10/2017 14:06

I could eat it before BC Grin I don’t like to waste food ...

StuntNun · 06/10/2017 14:36

I've discovered there's a Leon on the M6 Toll Road so had a lovely naked chicken burger for lunch while travelling down south today.
