littlebillie its a bit drastic, but the thing that works for me is to crash and then swallow a clove of raw garlic. Chase it down with a large glass of water. You can feel the sinuses drying out almost immediately.

Repeat first thing every morning til you can breather though your nose without any trouble.

Some people like to eat a large handful of fresh parsley afterwards. All the best.

littlebillie · 03/10/2017 22:45

Yep that's not an option as I work in an office people and garlic is grim . Perhaps at the weekend Grin

BIWI · 03/10/2017 22:50

Why no painkillers, @littlebillie? That sounds grim!

BIWI · 03/10/2017 22:52

Keep sipping water, as cold as you can, and see if you can get hold of some low carb ice-cream - if you can get to a Waitrose, get some Oppo ice-cream. It's totally yummy! But also the cold might help you.

Gammeldagfinderonwheels · 03/10/2017 23:01

Very Smokey is a man bunny, rabbits are an absolute doddle to toilet train, basically they don't like to mess up the bed chambers in a burrow because they pluck out fur to line the sleeping area for warmth and comfort, they have chambers closer to the ground for toilet needs but whenever possible they cut out the middle man and eat and poo at the same time. Rabbits live in the round so put them in a space with right angles and they will choose a corner to wee in you take newspaper soaked in wee and put it in a litter tray with wood chip litter. You then watch and wait, any poo you pick up and put into the litter tray. It should take no more than one intensive day to litter train your rabbit.
My two outdoor rabbits never ever wee in their hutch, they come out in the morning with their legs crossed and run straight to their litter trays. They are exceptional bunnies though because they were hand reared and could sense my frustration if they ever weed in my bed.

Gah, I hate pre-period and the associated jump on the scales! Plus today is the day they turn off the life support for my relative. He's the youngest of 10 children and has been a pillar of his local community. The family are all absolutely heartbroken.

Food shop today, will stock up on bootcamp goodies.

Food plan:
L - deli meat and cheese and olives, crudites etc
D - chicken thigh bake with leeks and mushrooms

littlebillie · 04/10/2017 06:31

BIWi low carb ice cream! That sounds great, general hot drinks smooth but honey has been my go to over the last 5 years. I've not had a painkiller in over 5 years, due to my other drugs I'm not allowed them 😩

Veryflummoxed · 04/10/2017 07:10

Gammeldafinder, just wish I'd known that years ago. Always wanted a house bunny but was put off by the thought of little rabbit turds everywhere. Now (after always having dogs, cats and assorted small animals but no rabbits) we've agreed no more pets. It makes sense for us now but is kind of sad.

Hippa Flowersfor today. I'm sorry that I can't think of anything helpful to say

Food for yesterday was
B fast
L hm soup
D roast beef, dressed leaves, hm soup

Can I do new boot camp without weighing? I was getting a bit weird about it and weighing too often.

twinkledag · 04/10/2017 07:46

Hippa Flowers

Veryflummoxed · 04/10/2017 07:47

I didn't weigh last Bootcamp Moist for the same reason. I wasn't the only one.

MOIST · 04/10/2017 08:14

That's good Flum. I have a dodgy eating past I can keep on top of but it is too easy to slip into weird obsessive habits. And then its just a short hop into really bad stuff.
I'd like to just focus on eating properly, no crap, cutting out the booze and just enjoying decent food. Which lCHF is actually really good for. I'm not hungry so not obsessing about when i can next eat a muller light or starving all week so i can drink wine at the weekend, or feeling bloated and eating massive piles of pasta.
I need to eat more vegetables and look at a bit of portion control. Eating just a pile pork belly slices with garlic mayo is not a balanced meal.

Gammeldragz · 04/10/2017 08:18

hippa Flowers so sorry for your family x
MOIST of course you can (I couldn't!). Maybe just beginning and end? I like my daily weights graph and the fluctuations don't bother me, but I understand why you'd want to to be free of it for a while.

New low weight this morning. No doubt it will bounce back up tomorrow, but nice to see under 170lbs, finally! Last two months looked like this...(first peak was a week off for holiday).
Another 1.6lbs to go until I've lost 3 stone. Then it will be another stone to target! It is starting to feel achievable.

Keeping on keeping on until the new bootcamp
Mimosa1 · 04/10/2017 08:47

Hippa im so very sorry. What an awful time for you all. I've bought the ingredients for the coconut porridge btw, thank you for posting the link.

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 04/10/2017 09:08

Hippa so sorry - it’s an awful thing to happen 💐x
Littlebillie whenever I get a sore throat I gargle with hot water with a few drops of tea tree oil in it - it’s antiseptic and antifungal It tastes horrible but it usually gets rid of it. I use it for lots of things - patches of eczema behind my ears etc

It’s turning cold ❄️ and I’m thinking of soups and warming casseroles. I’m gonna buy a chicken and get cracking on hearty chicken soup - I think I’ve seen a recipe ion the blood sugar diet book. Anyone got any soup recipes

C4 Lola is beautiful!! when we had buster as a pup our other Labrador then 8, looked after him and we think that he taught him things as he was so easy to train - as if he already knew what to do

Another 1lb down - one more and I hit the 12 stone mark.**
Well done to all the NSVs and losers

purpleviolet1 · 04/10/2017 09:36

Hi everyone!

I’m gently trying to ease myself in before starting the bootcamp..

Can I have some breakfast ideas please? I have always loved my weetoxib but guess that’s too carby

StuntNun · 04/10/2017 09:43

Eggs are a good option for breakfast. Scrambled or fried are fine. Boiled eggs are a little low in fat so many people mash them up in a cup with some butter. You can also find recipes for crustless quiche and egg muffins if you need something portable to eat at work.

Full fat Greek yogurt is another good choice. You can mix in a little double cream if you like and on Bootcamp Light add in a few berries. If you find it too sour at first then mix in a little vanilla essence or powder.

TimeIhadaNameChange · 04/10/2017 09:44

C4 - I concur with the rabbit training for the most part. Like your outdoor buns, my first rabbit wouldn't pee in his hutch. One houserabbit would wee in her hutch (but sleep on top of it) whilst the other had a litter tray which she insisted on using, even on the day she came home from her op and was meant to be staying in a cage - nope, she wanted to go to another room to pee! However, she was fussy about what sort of tray she wanted - a laptray was fine but messy, but the cat tray got moved out of the corner and she proceeded to pee on the carpet instead!!! Neither of them cared about their poos though, the second one would just poo under my bed where she slept.

The rabbits I have now have multiple litter trays, but also pee in their nesting box. I think they sleep on top of it instead, though, which is a tad daft as they'd be so much cosier inside. Hey ho!

Hippa - am so sorry to hear your news. Hope you're as ok as you can be.

purpleviolet1 · 04/10/2017 09:52

Thanks stunt! I take it rolled oats are out the question?

Can I just ask about lunch and dinner too? I’m not a lamb eater and the only fish I like is cod, haddock and salmon. Happy with chicken breast but not legs thigh etc so I am pretty limited Blush would I just make salmon cod haddock and chicken breast as the base of meals ? With the allowed veg? What about salad is that unlimited?

Gammeldragz · 04/10/2017 11:47

purple salad like lettuce, cucumber, radish is fine. Tomatoes in small amounts. Peppers are quite carby, so I just have a fee slices. Lots of fatty dressing.
I tend to base meals around protein, fat and greens (kale, spinach, chard etc)

I have attached photo of my lunch/brunch. Stir fried greens, fried halloumi, olives and ham. I had mayo with it.

Keeping on keeping on until the new bootcamp
Gammeldragz · 04/10/2017 11:50

purple also eggs are a good base for meals. Many low carb omelette options... Or bacon. I use chorizo to add fat to things like salad. Try to avoid too much processed meats though.
Oats are definitely off. I bought coconut stuff to make the coconut porridge mentioned upthread. But I tend to have Greek yog with cream and cinnamon, which makes a good meal.

Gammeldragz · 04/10/2017 11:52

I rarely eat breakfast though, I'm just not hungry in the mornings on this way of eating. If I am, I have a big brunch instead. Generally two meals a day is plenty for me. Fat is so satiating -- don't be afraid of it!

lilydaisyrose · 04/10/2017 12:01

Just had a NSV - squeezed into a pair of (stretchy) pre-pregnancy jeans! Still 2kg off my pre pregnancy weight but I'm so excited, I had to come on and tell you all about it WinkI've been living in ancient maternity clothes so nice to wear something else for a change.

I made mashed celeriac for the first time yesterday - yum!
