I would be beyond angry at this point C4.

Mimosa1 · 14/09/2017 11:22

Shit C4 I'm sorry.

ilovecherries · 14/09/2017 11:23

Not even going to think about my hair, which I'm sure is worse, because today's plus side is my dog walking bum bag slid right down my legs today. Hadn't worn if for months as it wouldn't fasten even on full extension, picked it up today, it fastened and felt loose so I just pulled it a bit shorter - then it fell off. Having shortened it properly, it now has a foot of spare belt. Given I'm still not a sylph I'm not sure what this says about my previous level of fatness, but I will take it as today's NSV, given the scales are being a tad stubborn.

Well hello strangers Grin

A LOT has been happening over the last few weeks so I dropped off the internet pretty much completely.

The Headlines:
DP's dad got diagnosed with liver cancer and there's nothing they can do. He probably won't make it to Christmas. Sad

As a result of the above, we cancelled our wedding in April and moved it.. to next month Shock this only happened last week so I've had to cancel one wedding and plan another in 6 weeks...

I've lost another stone since I last spoke to you all. I now weigh 14st 13lbs Grin I started bootcamp in Feb at 18st 5lbs and weighed in at 19st 1lb on christmas day!

I had my dress fitting on Monday and they had to whip it in by 3 inches Grin

And finally, you''ll have spotted this already but I can share with you the finished product:

4.5st down and in the dress! Grin

wotabastard · 14/09/2017 12:13

C4pinkwheels I'm so sorry about the bag. Gutting. Sad

JiminnyCricket
You look amazing in the dress. So sorry about the bad news though.

ASDismynormality · 14/09/2017 12:40

C4. Sorry to hear so much is going wrong Flowers

jiminny. Sorry to hear about your FIL. The dress looks lovely, have a wonderful day!

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 14/09/2017 12:45

C4 OMG that is really bad. Will you be able to cope without the bag or will someone have to bring it over?

Jim yay for being back & about the dress, but boo for FIL's diagnosis.

prettybird · 14/09/2017 12:58

Oh no C4 - after all your preparation! Shock Hope you manage to get something sorted. I think you need some Flowers and lots of Wine and Gin - and lots of grovelling from dh.

Jiminy - awful news about your dad Sad You look fab though and you will be a gorgeous bride.

I've not been keeping up with this thread but just wanted to mention that I finally broke the 13.5 stone barrier and can now say I've lost a stone and a half Smile Am now down to 13stone 6lb Smile Actually got to just under that on Saturday but then had a little too much wine on Saturday night Blush

C4pinkwheels · 14/09/2017 13:17

Sorry jiminny in my stress I didn't read your post properly, I now realise it's DP's dad. So nice that he will see the two of you married xxx

prettybird · 14/09/2017 13:35

I'll also admit to not having read properly in my haste to try and catch up. Blush

Very sorry to hear about your fiancé's dad. Good for you for (re)organising a wedding at short notice.

C4pinkwheels · 14/09/2017 13:46

I have allowed DH to flap around for a few hours, I haven't uttered a word. Arranged for my PA to collect suitcase and deliver to airport. Phoned head office and spoke to an important person and organised oxygen for evening flight.
Sent DH an email telling him to transfer tickets. Cost him £800

Currently at the Trafford centre having a salad and large wine.

StuntNun · 14/09/2017 13:58

I'm sorry to hear about your DF's dad Jiminny. Well done for managing to reorganise your wedding at such short notice. Your dress is spectaular.

Grimbles diet drinks aren't great because artificial sweeteners can do all kinds of things to slow weight loss or upset your gut. On the other hand they are probably better than sugar so I would say use with caution as an occasional replacement for something less healthy (such as a sugar-sweetened drink/food or as an alternative to an alcoholic drink).

Why some of those allegedly low carb products have been debunked as still raising blood glucose more than expected from the carb count so check the ingredients to see whether it looks like some kind of Frankenfood.

Llare mid-cycle bleeding is common with any method of weight loss because oestrogen is stored within fat cells. Within a couple of cycles your body will start manufacturing less oestrogen to compensate and everything should go back to normal.

That quilt is absolutely beautiful C4. I hope your DIL makes a speedy recovery. Well done for getting everything organised so you can still make your holiday. Is your DH is doing plenty of grovelling now?

CiderwithBuda · 14/09/2017 14:20

You lot can certainly talk!

Congrats to all NSVs and scale ones.

C4 - no words about the bag. Shock hope you manage to get there. Quilt looks amazing. And Alfie is gorgeous.

I'm still plodding along. Food good. Wine intake not so much. However DH is away tonight and tomorrow night so won't be tempted. We are however out at a ball tomorrow night. We are taking the car and plan is to leave it and then pick it up next day but I may not drink. Although I might need to!

Not sure if any of you saw th coverage last week about the 13 year old girl who died a few years ago and helped a record number of people through organ donation. Anyway - she went to DS's school and th ball we are going to is organised by her parents. I know her mum although I didn't when Jemima died. The parents of a little boy who received part of Jemima's liver will be there. I think it will be quite emotional at times.

C4pinkwheels · 14/09/2017 14:54

Guilt purchase at the Trafford centre. I'm now the proud owner of a biscuit coloured suede biker jacket from Mint Velvet, DH's wallet is tighter than a ducks arse but I think I have open access.

Over lunch he said "I'm a fucking twat" I just looked at him with my resting bitch face. He said "I take it that means you agree" I raised my eyebrows and said "why would I want to agree with that? Calling someone names is deeply unpleasant, I know because I've put up with it for years" ( reference to the dreded skids who will be out in force at the wedding)

I haven't raged, sworn, sulked or blamed. In a shit storm always take to the moral high ground it's the nicest place to be when the floods come.

ragz134 · 14/09/2017 15:38

c4 nice going on the moral high ground, I'd be a raging screaming witch at this point! I am very careful with planning and would have a major breakdown... Hope you get there OK tonight and have a Fab time. Jacket photo please!

Jim so sorry about your news but at least he will get to be FIL for a few months, you look amazing and huge well done on the weight loss.

Grah0SoontobeaFitty · 14/09/2017 15:50

@JiminnyCricket So sorry for the news about FIL.
Good news on the Dress the wedding and you feelings. Stay strong.

@C4pinkwheels - here's hoping Alfie, DIL and you stay strong and well.
So did you send the Adult skids on ahead or did you all get the flight transfer? --800pounds extra and a leather jacket- Cripes FedEx immediate delivery or re-buying the essentials sounds cheaper.
is this the Jacket

@FinallyHere good soup tip, my problem is I rarely leave food in the fridge once I start eating Smile

Hi to everyone new and those having some Great NSV reporting.

I had more test and blood pressure is 122/79 which beats the 174/100 when I was getting the medical for house insurance.

Mimosa1 · 14/09/2017 16:16

Great news on the blood pressure, GRah.

Almost time for a new thread. I'm on my phone so don't want to create one as I don't think I'll be able to link back, I'm afraid. Would someone be happy to start a new one?

TempusEejit · 14/09/2017 16:25

Jiminy really sorry to hear about your FIL. Good luck with wedding replanning, your dress looks beautiful.

C4 oh no! I hope your flight gets sorted ok.

Cider hope you have a nice time at the ball despite the emotional aspect.

Grah great news re your blood pressure results. Mine is borderline high but weirdly it's not really come down despite losing weight/following keto. I suppose at least if I get myself as healthy as I can in all other aspects then the BP will be only one risk factor for me instead of one of many.

I finish my fast today (I haven't eaten since Sunday night apart from bone broth once a day) - really looking forward to my dinner of chicken pie with celeriac rostis and creamed spinach, followed by cloud bread profiteroles. Can't wait!

wombattoo · 14/09/2017 16:53

new thread everyone

littlebillie · 14/09/2017 18:54

JiminnyCricket so sorry to hear about your Dad, it is a very hard time. I lost my Dad last year and watching him fade over the three months was one the hardest things I have had to endure. Good luck with your wedding plans and well done you x

littlebillie · 14/09/2017 18:57

So today at a shopping event I was told that the all the colours were available in a top and they go up to size 22. I wasn't sure why I needed that information but seriously I am a size 12/14 on top........ I am quite tall, so I will never be a petite but honestly..

Grimbles · 14/09/2017 19:03

Do I get the last word?
