Morning all!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for your delectation and - hopefully - delight

I hope you've seen good results this morning

Look forward to hearing how you've all got on, and here's to a good week 2

Yes, StuntNun, I've been fluctuating by a 1lb or 2 round this weight since last Bootcamp! Have been doing the odd longer fast but think I need to make it a regular feature to lower my set point further...

prettybird · 01/11/2016 14:28

Thanks BIWI Smile Admitting it in black & white - even if anonymously (but there are a few on here who are also Facebook friends) - is a small first step. Smile

But at least I am now belatedly doing something about it.

PopGoesTheFuckingWeasel · 01/11/2016 18:14

I've just made THE most gorgeous cauli-cheese soup for tonight's dinner. I usually put a potato in to thicken it, but a little celeriac worked just fine!

wombattoo · 01/11/2016 18:30

Hello everyone
Spreadsheet updatedboldly
Welcome back pretty sounds like you've had a tough time of it Thanks
Chester and to you Thanks. I remember you from previous bc's and you know you can do this.

Veryflummoxed · 01/11/2016 18:48

Breakfast was good. 2 scrambled and very buttered eggs with salad leaves.

Lunch good 2. Tuna mayonnaise with salad leaves.

Dinner was a bit oops. Due to a new cooker connection fail it had to be takeaway. I opted for

Sausages and fried cabbage.

The sausages were good quality and butchers so I'm hoping they were not too high in carbs.

Eightiesmate · 01/11/2016 18:53

I'm hungry again 😡

I shouldn't be as Ive eaten well today and drunk loads of water
Today I've had
2 eggs and butter
Ham, egg and cheese salad
Chicken breast with roasted cauliflower and swede, lots of butter
Around 6 pints of water

I don't want to snack if I can help it - I think I may be premenstrual as my boobs are like balloons. I may have a tiny bowl of FF Greek yog and or cream to see if that kills the hunger.

StuntNun · 01/11/2016 19:12

If you're hungry then eat. I would go for something very low carb if possible such as meat, olives or celery.

bettyblueeyes83 · 01/11/2016 19:34

Evening all. Flowers to those having a challenging time.

Extremely busy day so only time for half my (large) lunch - will have some yoghurt later if hungry.

B: scrambled eggs with cheese and half an avocado
L: tuna mayo feta salad with green olives
D: dietdoctor tex mex casserole with lettuce braised in butter (no avocado, I've run out Shock)
S: too much coffee, lots of sparkling water - resisted free and plentiful prosecco, I'm such a saint Grin

Leostar · 01/11/2016 19:46

Is it too late to join? I can't do this alone. A nice wedge of accountability could do the trick (finally!)

readyforno2 · 01/11/2016 20:03

Been good today although couldn't manage breakfast cause my throat felt like I'd been swallowing broken glass all night (day 2 of no voice)

L 3 egg omelette with cheese
D broccoli, cauliflower and Stilton soup with a splash of double cream and crispy bacon lardons

Loads of water, stopped counting at 4 pints.

BIWI · 01/11/2016 20:14

Welcome Leostar! Just add yourself to the bottom of the list on the spreadsheet

Hello to the new joiners and re-joiners Smile
Feeling depressed or having a difficult time is probably what makes a lot of us gain weight. It's certainly true for me.

For now though, things are going well. I'm loving the structure of boot camp - and the no-nonsense rules.

B - slice of cheese, coffee with cream (I still don't enjoy breakfast and feel sick afterwards, but I believe it's helping so I stick with it)

L - bit of leftover bolognese sauce, salad, Mayo, 1/4 avocado, slice of roast beef
D - chicken breast fried in butter, leek and cabbage fried in butter.

Day 9 and I'm feeling less bloated and more energetic than I have in ages. And I don't feel hungry at all!

Kleptronic · 01/11/2016 21:19

B: 2 egg omelette with smoked pork sausage and brie fried in olive oil (20g each, weighed)
L: Spinach and mushrooms fried in olive oil with a chunk of corned beef
D: Peppered mackerel with courgette and cauli rice fried in butter

I am feeling dreadfully tired and glum tonight.

lisbapalea · 01/11/2016 22:14

B - yogurts with cinnamon, plus coffee
L - egg and spinach pot, plus m&s pot of prawn and calamari with yogurt dip
D - chilli without the beans with creme fraiche instead of sour cream, grated cheese, half an avocado, lettuce with oil. Delicious!

Lots of water and still on the wagon!

nekobus · 01/11/2016 22:21

B - avocado, dressing, 2 hb eggs and butter
L - 2 heck square sausages, salad leaves, dressing, mayo
D - shallots, courgette, spinach, prawns fried up in coconut oil and curry powder then a splash of cream. Was lovely
S - a chunk of brie, coffee and cream

Keeping on, starting to not feel hungry all the time eg lunch was at 3 as I was working at home and didn't realise the time!

plumstone · 02/11/2016 08:26

Cannot remember who requested the Pork Belly and Chorizo stew but here you go - its freezes well and makes four good portions - I make on a weekend and take to work for lunch.

1 tbsp olive oil
700 gas pork belly
100gms cooking chorizo
1 large onion
1 large carrot
1 tsp fennel seeds
pinch chilli flakes
chopped parsley
2 garlic cloves
4 bay leaves
sprig thyme - I use a liberal sprinkling of dried
1 tbsp tomato puree
50mls red wine vinegar
tin chopped tomatoes

heat oven to 160C, heat oil in a casserole dish that can be used on the hob AND oven (do not use le crusette - I did it cracked and broke from the hob - I am still not over this!!) brown the pork belly on all sides about ten mins - do in batches if pan not big enough. Remove from pan and set aside. Add chorizo and sizzle for a minute or so. Add bed, fennel seeds, chilli, garland herbs and cook for five mins. Add tomato puree, and vinegar let bubble for a minute. Add tine toms and half can water. Stir in Pork belly and season with salt and pepper. Bring to simmer. Add lid to dish and place in the onion for 90 mins - check after 45 mins and stir occasionally. Add more water if required. Once the sauce is thick and a rich orange red colour its done, remove and stir in chopped parsley and serve or freeze. Wait till completely cold before adding to Freezer!!

Bon Appetite!

achangeisgonnacome · 02/11/2016 09:05

Sorry for late posting, but happy to report a 3lb loss.

This week I'm at home decorating DDs room, but keep making forays into the kitchen. So far I haven't succumbed to the carb cupboard, but it's definitaly whispering in my ear...

Have stuck to BC, although on Monday did have some Halloween party food (brain jelly anyone?).

Today I've had a cup of tea and some cold roast chicken.

Lunch will probably be scrambled egg and some mushrooms.

Dinner will (I think) be Thai chicken and ginger stir fry.

It's DP's DGD's birthday today, so will have to stay strong and swerve on the cake.

plumstone your pork belly and chorizo recipe sounds fab, will be trying that out v soon.

Eightiesmate · 02/11/2016 09:38

Something has changed....

Thank god i'm no longer hungry. Woke up feeling completely appetiteless (is that a word?) and slightly excited, really fresh and full of energy. I need to hang on to this feeling so I remember exactly how shit I feel when I've eaten carbs.
Another bonus is my IBS'y bowels that usually have me running to the loo all the time has stopped altogether - I recognise the need to go but theres not the sweaty urgency I usually have (along with the threat of not making it - sorry TMI)

prettybird · 02/11/2016 09:55

That pork belly recipe is fab - it's now a family favourite. Last time I made a double quantity, in the hope that I could freeze some for future - fat chance Hmm. It was devoured over two nights! Grin

I've simplified it now - fry the onions and then brown the pork belly chunks in which the onions before adding the chorizo, fry a bit more and then add the tomatoes etc.

It does really well in a low oven for a long cook, so I presume would also be a good slow cooker dish.

plumstone · 02/11/2016 10:16

Definitely Pretty - I love it as it makes a "warming winter dish" God I sound like my granny!! but it is, this weekend I feel a pumpkin/cerlariac mash coming in to up the comfort factor!!!!

I am missing a slow cooker in my life but like you say long and slow in the oven also works fine!!!

ChesterDrawers · 02/11/2016 10:53

Yesterday was a bit of a false start, considering it was my first day back, as I got some bad news, couldn't eat, then was suddenly starving. Needless to say, I didn't make very good choices. FFS!

Not eaten yet today but planning an omelette in a bit with two eggs, parma ham, mushrooms, cheese and avocado on the side to up the fat a bit.

I've got a spag bol in the slow cooker for later too which I'll have with courgetti. I had to use a red onion as not done a proper LC shop yet so have no shallots, but all other ingredients are LC. Mince is only 12% fat though, so will melt a bit of butter in my portion Grin Will have a BPC this aft if I'm peckish too.

Just done an online shop. My order is basically meat, veg, bitter, cream, cheese and eggs Grin

CaptainBraandPants · 02/11/2016 14:41

Hello all, This is the first time I've posted this bootcamp. I kept trying to catch up on the thread first, but never got to the end! I've had to abandon the week 1 thread, but I've read all this weeks. Pretty Flowers Your story is similar to mine, although I have much less of an excuse for my weight gain.
I've been LCing for just over three weeks now, lost 8 lbs in the first two weeks and for the first official week lost another 1.6 lbs, so very pleased. especially as I've just started my period today, so am hoping to lose more this week.
I usually update the spread sheet on my work PC, but they have now blocked google docs, so i can't get on.
Could someone add my numbers, please?
Captain 24/10/16 173.2 lbs, 31/10/16 171.6 lbs? Thanks
Well done on a fab first week everyone. I've got to go back now and finish reading the week 1 thread Grin

Polkadotties · 02/11/2016 14:59

Butter not bitter!! I'm not drinking beer!
