Morning all.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness which looks a bit different this morning! All the tabs appear to be at the top now! No idea what's going on there.

I hope that week 3 hasn't been too unkind to you all, but if you have found that your weight loss has stopped, or even that you've put a pound or so back on, don't worry!

It's your body adjusting to the new regime. Just KOKO (keep on keeping on) and you'll be fine. Things will get moving again very soon, although be prepared for a lower weekly loss from here on in - around 1-2lbs a week, which is a perfect and more sustainable way to lose.

Here's to a good week 4!

Trashy how's the Kefir? Mine's an unstoppable monster, I'e had to put it in the fridge to calm it down a bit. Shock

Romeyroo · 03/06/2015 06:51

Oh, Lex, I hope you feel better soon.

trash I have been doing low FODMAP for a couple of weeks now with BC, and it has helped with the bloating. Cauliflower would be high FODMAP and it triggers IBS for me.

In my never-ending quest for digestive regularity, I am about to make some flaxseed and prune muffins - the prunes are way to sweet to have on their own and I am liking the idea of some kind of muffin which is BCL friendly for breakfast, rather than evening when it might trigger middle of the night hunger pangs (unheard of since I have up carbs).

blessedenough · 03/06/2015 07:18

Can someone please give me the talk please.... You know woe not a diet, slow weight loss is best, other health benefits, healthier etc etc. My weight has stayed the same for ages I can not break the 13.8 barrier.I have upped the fat and water, kept protein lowish. I eat 3 meals a day only when I am hungry. I have upped my exercise , body pump, circuits and trying to run a bit.

I have messed about a bit but have been very strict with the odd blip - I have stopped messing about recently but still no movement on scales arrgghh. However I do feel slimmer just fecking bored of seeing the same sodding figure on the scales- and breathe!!!

1 sodding stone since Jan!

Food yesterday

2 bpcs
Chicken wings, mayo and cucumber
Bpc - before circuits
Pork belly ,pak choi stir fried Chinese style
3 plus litres of water

SayraT · 03/06/2015 07:40

blessed what is ages? If you've lost a stone since the start of January then you've lost over half a pound each week. Well done Grin it might not have come off like that but weight-loss doesn't happen like that.

You seem to be having a lot of BCPs, have you always drunk as much coffee? I know that BPCs are great for getting extra fat in but then you are not really eating food. Caffeine can effect weight-loss so maybe try cutting down on these.

If you have upped your exercise then that might be what is happening, maybe your body needs a little time to adjust to that? I always weigh more the day after exercise.

You said that you feel slimmer, have you actually taken any measurements to see if you've lost inches? After all it is the inches that matter, no one else sees that you weigh 13st 8 they just see that you are a size 10 or 12 or whatever.

Why not post a few days worth of meals as it can be hard to see what might be happening based on one day.

blessedenough · 03/06/2015 08:10

Thanks sayra I have decaff bpcs. I have reduced dairy to a minimum. My weight hasn't changed since mid march - no so much a stall but a bit of messing around but mostly very strict just odd little blip.
I used to drink 8 coffees a day!!!
I have upped fat via bpcs as I thought that might be answer also last night wouldn't have had dinner until 8 pm due to circuits class usually only have 2 a day. I have been bootcamping for a year so happy with food - lots of mayo, oily dressings, green veg, unprocessed meat and butter. A small amount of tomatoes and peppers but really limited.

Maybe it is exercise. I did take measurements but I am never sure I am in the same place. Off to dig out tape measure. Thanks will look.

shebedee · 03/06/2015 08:50

Morning all- I'm seeing lots of reference to BPCs and wonder if I'm getting these right. I had never heard of these until starting BC. I get up early to mark in the peace of the early morning so need something with caffeine to get me going.I have a half caff coffee with 1 tsp of slightly salted butter, 1 tsp of coconut oil and a dash of double cream- sometimes I add a tsp of cinnamon. Is this it or am I missing anything?
Subsequent coffees are usually decaff with unsweetened almond milk unless I get an afternoon energy slump, when I'll deploy caffeine again.

Tetley650 · 03/06/2015 09:21

lex - take it easy. It could be stress. I think this is what has been happening to me if I am really truthful. Dh started a new job in Bangkok in January and DS and I have not really seen him ( one weekend and 3 weeks at Easter) since - not that This too much of a problem as he travels a lot for work anyway. I am trying to sell the house ( no takers yet) and ds has been doing common entrance. Sunday night after taking him back I realised I could do no more ( he weekly boards). Stress works in mysterious ways. I was once told by a doctor that taking a nap in the afternoon can be a sign particularly if you don't normally. In ww2 it was found that all the troops in a tank were fast asleep because that was the only way they could escape the stressful situation they were in.
B - 2 small lc chipolatas, 1 egg and mushrooms/ asparagus in butter. One bpc
L wedge salad with few lardons blue cheese and oily dressing. If I can have this late I will have a coyo with a teaspponifcream and some liberties and a grating of vanilla watching Nadal ( got together some Wimbledon practice in)
D - chilli, spinach and lettuce cups with sour cream and a little grated cheese
I will also have a chai tea, a flavoured Assam tea both with a tap of cream and water (3l)
Doesn't the sun help to lift your mood?

Romeyroo · 03/06/2015 09:31

blessed, how much have you lost and how much do you still want to lose? after my initial quick loss, 1.5-2 stones (did not have scales), it was very, very slow to lose the next two stones. Each time I had to tweak something to break the stall.

From what you are saying, I would try cutting BPCs and eating a proper breakfast (BC friendly, of course).

My prune and flaxseed muffins are yum - whether they have the desired effect is another matter. I used a mix of flaxseed, coconut and almond flours; I will try and work out the carb count per muffin later. Wary of triggering carb cravings so will definitely monitor.

blessedenough · 03/06/2015 09:49

Hi Romey- I have lost 2 stone ish. I still have 3-4 st to loose so not near goal yet! First bootcamp I lost 1.5st in 10 weeks. It was 3 months after birth of DS.

I struggle with breakfast as I don't eat eggs and I have 2 dc under 3 and currently 3 foreign students staying so getting everyone up, fed and out the door means I have no time - hence the BPCs, they are easy and quick. I also couldn't eat bacon or leftovers at breakfast. I might try a more substantial lunch. I think dairy stalls me so I couldn't have yoghurt for breakfast. uurrgghh.

The exercise is def toning me up and making me less wobbly. My tummy is still huge - although obvs slimmed. I was a large size 20 but am now a size 16 ish. I just took my measurements and I cant see a change but I have dropped 2 dress sizes so its my measuring at fault. I have only been exercising properly for 5 weeks.

My bras actually fit now as opposed to struggling to keep my puppies in!!

I obvs need to be more patient, I know weighing makes me demented but I couldn't resist. I just want to fit back into my extensive wardrobe of size 14s as I am fed up of sweating out the summer in jeans.

I sooo badly want to be a size 12 by xmas - I am so fed up of being fat and just want to look nice in a pretty dress for once. Fed up of wearing tents that cover trouble areas.

Just finished totm so maybe its water retention and maybe I will be a few lbs down in a few days??

lisbapalea · 03/06/2015 09:51

I think my problem yesterday may well have been caused by a lack of water so I am on a mission with that today and determined not to sneak back into bad grazing habits. That's one of the things I have been happiest with on this woe as it really has (until yesterday) stopped me eating for eating's sake, which is why my behaviour yesterday was really stupid and ann.

Anyway, today is a new day so I am properly back on the wagon. I am in London for work and meeting a friend for lunch, but I have already said that it has to be low carb friendly so that should be fine.

I was up early enough to have breakfast before I left which was coffee with splash of ff milk, coyo and ff Greek yogurt with berries and coconut flakes.

Have drunk 650ml of water while on the train and will have several more refills of this bottle once I am in the office.

plumstone · 03/06/2015 10:37

Morning All, Well dinner last night was I think as BC friendly as it could have been, Starter was crab and prawn terrine thingy (wasn't popular with the waiter when I asked for the contents of the dish Grin however he told me it was crab meat, double cream and gelatine ) so all good I think/hope!!

Main was lamb with a ratatouille type thing which I left (would have done BC-ing or not) it was not pretty to look at and fondant potato which according to everyone else slightly underdone - so had no need to try.

Pudding - now I don't eat chocolate, and don't have a sweet tooth at all - there is only one pudding that I would willingly give a kidney for and that is creme brûlée - so when it was put in front of me it was a measure of will power, stubbornness and visualising myself in white jeans that prevented me tasting it - I actually impressed myself with the "calm and elegant" no thank you I whispered to the waiter while wanting to rugby tackle him to the ground as he took it back to the kitchen

Bad point of the dinner - the little rolls that were on the table - best not dwell on the one two that I had Blush oh well there was no alcohol consumed as it was a work do and needed to be fresh this morning so have drawn a veil over that point and move on!

Today:
B - BPC
L - Tuna mayo salad
D -Buttery fried eggs and sausages

Have lots of boxes of eggs in my cupboard - all with about 2 and 5 in them - seem to panic buy eggs in the same way I used to "panic buy" crisps - I am a wierdo!

Tetley650 · 03/06/2015 11:17

plum loving the phrase 'used to'

trashcanjunkie · 03/06/2015 11:17

crabby it's very miserable. I too have put mine in the fridge whilst I work out what to do next with it. It was a goats milk one, which I tried unsuccessfully to use coconut milk with. I've been changing the liquid and having to just pour it down the sink.

It's no good to me as a cows milk one but I've given it some for now and stuck it in the fridge. I think it's very unhappy. Will maybe try it with some goats milk and if it manages with that give it to mother to use. Bah.

ewanhoozami · 03/06/2015 11:24

plum Grin at having thoughts of rugby tackling the waiter

MrsKoala · 03/06/2015 11:35

Hello all. Just popped by to say hello and goodbye (sort of). I have achieved my goal weight (12st) and size (12-14) and while i'm still low carbing i am not boot camping anymore.

I went on holiday last week and relaxed the strictness and it seems to be going well. No gains yet anyway.

Life is pretty stressful atm so bc was proving a bit difficult to continue with lots of trips away and up and down to pils.

I hope things will have calmed down by autumn and may pop along for bc then. Good luck and well done to everyone. KOKO Flowers

Extra Flowers for BIWI

diggerdigsdogs · 03/06/2015 14:55

I'm just signing in. Back to the land of internet but DS is back in hospital with asthma. And I'm sick with a nasty cold.

So, observation from this weekend:

Sugar makes me feel like shit.

Had a carby twatty moment on Sunday and I felt horrible afterwards. I wonder if my extreme tiredness in late pregnancy wasn't just my iron levels but also diet.

Anyway, it's reinvigorated me, this knowledge that it makes me feel worse. Just need to tattoo it onto my hand remember this at low points.

plumstone · 03/06/2015 15:01

Tetley - but your loo will smell all clean and bleachy - which I love makes me think of my granny who over used it to mask her smoking!!

ewanhoozami · 03/06/2015 17:41

B: 2 eggs and 2 slices of streaky bacon, cooked in butter. Small bowl of FF Greek yoghurt
L: salad leaves, cheese, half avocado, Parma ham, Mayo
D: salad leaves with 20% mince bolognaise and grated cheese

Lots of water.
