Morning all.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness which looks a bit different this morning! All the tabs appear to be at the top now! No idea what's going on there.

I hope that week 3 hasn't been too unkind to you all, but if you have found that your weight loss has stopped, or even that you've put a pound or so back on, don't worry!

It's your body adjusting to the new regime. Just KOKO (keep on keeping on) and you'll be fine. Things will get moving again very soon, although be prepared for a lower weekly loss from here on in - around 1-2lbs a week, which is a perfect and more sustainable way to lose.

Here's to a good week 4!

Oh yes - never has a 2lb loss been sooooo pleasing, and actually I have weighed in on tuesdays so, it may be that a like for like 7 day level may be even better. after a 2 week stall, at last there is movement.

i think i've been eating too much/many calories, and the tonsillitis i have fought off this weekend has obliterated my appetite, but not my thirst, so I have drunk more or less enough water - always struggle at weekends - and not eaten much. I will continue in this vein. High fat.

I bought coconut oil - what am I supposed to do with it again? fry in it? as I would butter etc?

Hissy · 01/06/2015 11:17

B: egg and ham 'muffin', 3 spoons of alpro with some cream and desiccated coconut
L: Meat and salad with mayo
D: burger with guacamole, cheese and leaves - maybe sweded chips if I CBA

Hissy · 01/06/2015 11:19

PeppermintFrog how are you making that scone? that sounds like a breakfast I would love

thanks

PeppermintFrog · 01/06/2015 11:36

Hissy here is the link www.thehealthychef.com/2012/05/paleo-scones/ I found it on last week's thread. I used melted coconut oil and the dough was too sticky to roll out so I made balls and flattened them on a buttered baking tray. They are more like crumbly biscuits really but nice all the same. x

dillite · 01/06/2015 11:42

Well done everyone on your losses!

Do I remember it correctly that someone had mentioned protein bars suitable for BC on one of the previous treads? What were they?

Patapouf · 01/06/2015 13:25

2.5lbs off this week and quite a few inches off my waist too. I'm going to try and be as strict as possible this week because I have been wavering too far into BCL when I still on BC! I'm off on holiday too so I'd like to look as svelte as possible for someone my size on the beach! I'm starting to get a bit panicky about eating on holiday because we are going AI for the first time ever and I'm worried there won't be suitable options.

Exams are now over so I've got less to distract me from staying on plan in general at least. Mid exam this morning my third TOTM since BC started arrived. I don't even know what's going on with that but it's making me sluggish so I'd like it to bloody stop.

I bought a swede after someone inspired me to do something tasty with it and now I can't remember what! Any ideas??

Flowers for everyone and KOKO!

Hissy · 01/06/2015 14:04

crumbly biscuits you say..... lemme at em... :)

thanks so much, I'll have a go at them, I don't like to have all savoury breakfasts all the time and the yoghurt and cream is dull too after a while.

MontserratCaballe · 01/06/2015 14:50

Just adding myself into the new thread. I am afraid that I didn't do so well last week for half term reasons so am doing another 2 weeks of BC. My scales have also given up the ghost so I can't weigh. Have bought more on Amazon and will weigh once they are here.

Some great losses this week - very inspiring. Thank you to BIWI, Sayra and all the lovely women for the chat Flowers

billabye · 01/06/2015 15:20

Hi all. After lurking for a few weeks I have started today and added myself to the spreadsheet. I have 4 stones to lose Blush

PeppermintFrog · 01/06/2015 15:45

Welcome Billabye! Have you done low carb before? Is there anyone doing it with you?

readyforno2 · 01/06/2015 15:52

I'm down to 143.6. Could be due to being unwell on Saturday. Will read the thread and post food later. KOKO everyone!

DramaAlpaca · 01/06/2015 15:54

Just marking my place on the new thread. Weight has stayed the same.

Tetley650 · 01/06/2015 16:12

Feeling awful, splitting headache, carb flu I reckon. Body has finally given into the lc way of life.

B - vanilla scone and dollop of cream
L - left over bolognese and courgetti in butter sprinkling of cheddar
D belly pork rib in Thai spices with spinach and caulirice. Going to have this soon as expect I'll be going to bed early if headache doesn't subside.
Never felt so good to be feeling bad!

Romeyroo · 01/06/2015 16:12

Hi everyone,

I am 1lb down on weight I started BC on, which after my 3lb gain is heartening. I am really aiming to STS now as this is not my first BC and work out maintenance which for me appears to be BC with a bit of BCL.

Sayra, huge congratulations on finishing the thesis; massive achievement, especially given tight deadline!

billabye · 01/06/2015 16:12

I did Atkins when it was all the rage and did well with it. Since then I steadily gained weight, lost over 4 stone on lighter life and gained most of it back. I've been around the endless cycle of WW/slimming-world etc since having DD and just gain and lose the same few pounds which is soul destroying.

It's just me doing Bootcamp which is fine as DP loves the food but with added carbs for him.

Romeyroo · 01/06/2015 16:14

Tetley, how is your salt intake? I had issues with headaches when I started, I used to drink a stock cube in the morning, now I eat a few salt crystals now and then. It honestly took me a while to get past feeling yucky and for the energy to kick in.

HemanOrSheRa · 01/06/2015 16:16

A 4lb gain for me this week. Not too bad as I was away last week. I've been BCing 100% Saturday, Sunday and today so I'm confident it will come off soon. I did have some nuts early afternoon today. Someone brought a bag of chewy sweets into work. I swerved them completely but felt a bit left out so had:
2 Brazil Nuts
2 Almonds
1 Hazelnut
1/2 Walnut

Fairly restrained and meant I could have a munch while everyone else was chewing sickly sweet sticky things. Bleugh!

dillite · 01/06/2015 16:35

I feel like a goddamn superhero- I went to Lidl today and did not buy any of their literally freshly baked pastry. It was hell walking past them as they were being unloaded.

Can I have your pork scratchings recommendations? I got some at M&S that I liked but there isn't one where I live so I would love to hear of other recommendations.

Today's food
Breakfast- 3 buttery fried eggs, cucumber
Lunch- Alpro Soya coconut yoghurt
Dinner- garlic and butter roast chicken with buttery green veg or a cauli mash, haven't decided yet

Water- a lot and tea.

lisbapalea · 01/06/2015 16:35

Am delighted and amazed by a 2lb loss! I have updated the sheet using the second link.

I am really hoping the downward trend continues as if it does, I will be moving into the 12st territory for the first time in YEARS! I start a new job in 2 weeks time and that's been a major inspiration for losing weight as I don't want to be the chubster new girl, so I am using that as my motivation to KOKO. I have been sticking to plan, either full on bc or occasional lapses into bc light with berries (and wine!) etc, and it's been hard when faced with temptation but I genuinely feel better for it. Dh is working from home today and falling into so many snacking traps that I used to do. I have tried to talk him into bc but he's not keen at the moment - maybe one day!

Thanks to various folk for ideas of what to do with my leftover roast pork belly for tonight's dinner!

B - FF yog, coconut flakes, flaxseed, some berries
L - chicken and tarragon creamy soup
S - two rolled up pieces of leerdammer cheese, spread with butter and marmite. Weird but great at filling me up
D - will be pork belly turned into a chinesey / thai curry / stirfry thing, also using cabbage, shallots, green pepper, chilli, shallots and served with cauli rice.

ditavonteesed · 01/06/2015 16:43

I have a banging headache today an not feeling grand.

B Buttery scrambled eggs with a little bit of cheese.
L frying steak and avocado, ff greek yoghurt
D I have no idea as I have only just eaten lunch as not hungry.

Tetley650 · 01/06/2015 17:10

romey - I have never been a great one for salt but have been consciously adding it. Have been using low salt though. Will have a stock cube as a warm drink seeing as summer has taken a hold!

Gcalgske · 01/06/2015 17:22

Still feeling ropey. Officially this sinus nonsense can BOG OFF

Today's food:
B: tea with whole milk and coconut oil x 2
L: coffee with double cream, 1/2 tomato, cucumber, 1/4 avocado mashed with 2tbsp olive oil, smoked salmon & capers.
D: bolognaise sauce with courgette chips and cheese

minibmw2010 · 01/06/2015 17:35

Have been feeling a bit carb fluey after falling down with a McD's last week but have stuck to it since then. I will weigh in tomorrow.

Today's food:

B: smoked salmon & scrambled eggs (made with double cream)
L: burger with salad and Mayo
D: pork chop and cauliflower cheese

CrabbyTheCrabster · 01/06/2015 17:44

Well I'm finally back to the weight I was a fortnight ago. Hmm That's what going off plan for a couple of days (birthday celebrations) does.

Onwards and downwards, Campers. Smile

CrabbyTheCrabster · 01/06/2015 17:44

Cathy glad you liked the tapas suggestions. Smile
