Morning all.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness which looks a bit different this morning! All the tabs appear to be at the top now! No idea what's going on there.

I hope that week 3 hasn't been too unkind to you all, but if you have found that your weight loss has stopped, or even that you've put a pound or so back on, don't worry!

It's your body adjusting to the new regime. Just KOKO (keep on keeping on) and you'll be fine. Things will get moving again very soon, although be prepared for a lower weekly loss from here on in - around 1-2lbs a week, which is a perfect and more sustainable way to lose.

Here's to a good week 4!

Well done MrsK Flowers. Hope things settle down for you.

blessedenough · 03/06/2015 18:29

Well done Mrs K on getting to target. Good for you.

I have FNALLY done it - after a million attempts my pork crackling has finally turned out like actual pork crackling! I have eaten tonnes of it and now am not hungry for my dinner but hey ho.

B- 2 X BPC
L- Chicken wings, spinach salad, oily dressing
D- Pork crackling and later will be swede mash, pork, more crackling, broccoli and green beans.

Gallons of water and 2 decaff black coffees. I am a bit headachy so might have a Bovril.

Exercise - ran for 13 mins - not Olympic standard admittedly but a personal best for me, yay.

CobbOnn · 03/06/2015 18:42

Patapouf. I fry kale in butter on quite a high temp. Crack 2 or 3 eggs and cover till eggs are cooked. Lemon salt and chilli flakes. Gorgeous. Best if kale goes crispy.

Preminstreltension · 03/06/2015 19:06

Hi all. Had a sort of controlled carb Saturday which was semi planned but have found it not too bad climbing back on the wagon.

Spent the weekend doing 20 ways with cauliflower for the freezer and have just had some fab cauliflower tortillas with chicken, avo, sour cream and cheese, fajita style. Really good and not at all cauliflower smelling. I have just eaten more cauliflower in my dinner than in the whole of the rest of my life put together! There's another prepped cauliflower lurking in the freezer - might go for kedgeree this time. The tortillas were nice but a faff and you end up with a small number.

No other news barring that people are noticing my weight loss which is great.

weegierama · 03/06/2015 19:39

total dinner disaster. Attempted the celeriac / mackerel dauphinoise and it was rank. Too much liquid, some celeriac underdone, and I didn't like the fishy, creamy thing. whole lot in the bin. off to recipe thread for some much needed inspiration

Preminstreltension · 03/06/2015 19:43

I had the same issue weegie. Had to delay dinner by an hour for it to be cooked enough. But I had also drenched it with Parmesan so had some other flavours going on which redeemed it a bit.

weegierama · 03/06/2015 19:53

yep the parmesan bits on top were the best bits of mine

BIWI · 03/06/2015 21:14

Yay! MrsK! Star

Have been away in Brighton since yesterday; went to see Elvis Costello, met up with some friends and DS1 - ate and drank very lovely stuff (although nothing I'm prepared to confess to here Blush)

Back to work tomorrow. Keep thinking it's Sunday! But it means it's only another two days until the weekend Grin

Romeyroo · 03/06/2015 21:35

Blessed, I have the same issue with breakfast - not quite so many people to get sorted, mind you, but I find it hard to get DC sorted and out the door to school and nursery and myself into the office and eat breakfast as well.

If I have time, then I do have an omelette with spinach, but as you don't eat eggs, this is not an option. Other things I have tried

Coconut milk and flaxseed mix (thick creamy coconut milk which is almost like yogurt)
Cheese wrapped in cold meat
Flax seed pancakes (made in advance)
My current flaxseed and prune muffins (took one to work and had with coffee when I got there) but am monitoring this for weight reasons given the prunes. The prunes are a deviation from BC for digestive reasons.

I can do mornings on BPC and they do keep me going, but my impression is that if I eat breakfast late, which I usually do (10 - 11am) with all the non-omelette breakfasts, and then lunch later (2 ish), and a light supper, this not only fits better with my day, but is better than being hungry and eating more at the end of the day. If you really can't do breakfasts, then yes, I would try with more at lunch time and see what happens. I find if I eat too much in the evening (which I have done today), I feel full and bloated. It is a constant learning game as to what works.

That said, plain soya yogurt and plain soya lattes stalled me, and when I took that out, I lost six pounds, so it can be really things you don't necessary think.

DramaAlpaca · 03/06/2015 21:43

I'm just back from my birthday dinner with my three boys. I won't say on thread what I had, but I managed to stay low carb-ish, only not perhaps as low carb as I could've been. I also had a couple of glasses of wine. As it's my birthday, I think I can be excused! Back on the low carb wagon tomorrow, but in the meantime I'm going to get a litre or so of water down before I go to bed.

Gcalgske · 03/06/2015 21:53

B: coffee with cream, water
L: cheese and ham rolled up with butter
D: 2 small steaks with salad and sorrel cream sauce and melted butter (lush).

HemanOrSheRa · 03/06/2015 22:00

I'm very hungry again today. I've eaten so many pork scratchings I gave myself indigestion Blush. Damn hormones.

B - a teeny bit of leftover bolognese sauce with grated cheese. Odd for breakfast but very nice.

L - homemade egg mayo with chopped shallot and a little chopped dill pickle added for a bit of tang and crunch. Salad with oily dressing.

D - spicy chicken skewers, a mountain of cauli rice fried in butter with cumin seeds, salad and ff yoghurt and mint dressing.

S - pork scratchings. Half celery stick with pate. Piece of cheese. More pork scratchings.

1 black coffee. 3l water. 1 rooibos tea.

If you can't step down off the wagon when it's your birthday Drama something is not right! Grin

Patapouf · 03/06/2015 22:21

Thanks cobb that sounds good! The bag is huge and I've only got a few days to use it up.

B: egg muffin and 2x black farmer chipolatas.
L: 2 chicken breasts with a big salad.
D: duck breast with cauli rice and cabbage

Bought some of that tea some of you mentioned on a previous thread, it was only 1.99 in tkmaxx Smile

readyforno2 · 03/06/2015 23:05

Brilliant MrsK! It's a great feeling.

I've been pretty good today although haven't really had dinner as I'm just not very hungry..

B ff yog, coffee with cream
L left over bolognese with cauliflower rice and salad
Mid afternoon snack (possibly why I've not been hungry) scrambled eggs

Loads of water.

monkeyfacegrace · 03/06/2015 23:08

I've had a funny day of eating again.

Chunk of cheese for breakfast. Then around lunchtime I gorged on a 100g bag of pork crunch (home bargains 79p). Mid afternoon had 3 boiled eggs.
dinner was 2 pork belly slices with iceberg lettuce, oily dressing and grated cheese.

3l water approx, and only 2 cans of Pepsi max again. Yet again, NO WINE! (That's a huge deal for me to be dry for a day).

And on the scales this morning I've lost a couple pounds too. Not going to take that reading as gospel yet as it can fluctuate, but I'm pleased as punch Smile

LexLoofah · 03/06/2015 23:21

romey thanks

tetley I think you are on to something there, I am def run down so not surprised I caught whatever is going round. Erm what sunshine? We are under a severe weather warning, 10 inches of rain in last 24 hrs -'pics of our front garden under water attached hopefully. Sorry to hear of your stressful situation too. All quiet on the house front for us too.

Have decided not to beat myself up or feel guilty about being off the wagon for a day or two, have been better food wise today but shows how lethargic I am that this is the first I have been on MN all day !

Week 4 - Low Carb Bootcamp - it's the first day of summer today!

One more

Week 4 - Low Carb Bootcamp - it's the first day of summer today!
ditavonteesed · 04/06/2015 06:53

that doesnt look goo dlex, where are you? its beautiful sunshine here in yorkshire.

Yesterday was a very good day and I felt much better. The scales are down this morning so it definatly pays off.

ditavonteesed · 04/06/2015 07:14

I have also acquired a pot of the famed co-yo which I am having for my brekkie, it is delicious.

Yesterdays mantra is carrting on into today, more fat more water.

cathyandclaire · 04/06/2015 07:17

That's terrible weather Lex it's windy but dry in our little bit of Yorkshire, are we all still waiting for the June heatwave Hmm?
it has taken 'til today for my weekend lapses to go again (lots of wine and some dark choc) I really need to be strict to lose.

I've got one doing GCSEs and one doing A levels, so all grim here. Roll on the summer.
B: Frittata with whatever veg I can chuck in
L: smoked salmon and salmon pate-isn thing with salad
S:Goulash type chicken and chorizo (some chopped tomato, lots of sour cream, not too bad carb-wise) and braised white cabbage.

Has anyone found a squirty cream that is totally unsweetened, rather fancy having one in the fridge for the odd coffee and they're all horribly sweet?

Romeyroo · 04/06/2015 07:31

Morning, ladies, no summer heatwave here - the positive forecast for the weekend has morphed into (more) clouds and rainHmm

Very stressed and emotionally overwrought yesterday due to a combination of circumstances, not helped by TOTM. Started tracking cycles as they seem awfully short but anyway, ate too much so a pound up. Could also be carbs in prune and flaxseed muffin but monitoring and focusing on calming strategies and portions today.

I think, randomly, that sausages cause weight gain - I have the black farmer ones but also tried m&s and I am linking them to ups rather than STS or going down. I need to read the ingredients.

happy birthday for yesterday, Drama Flowers

And a belated Star for MrsK, nice to hear your update.

Romeyroo · 04/06/2015 07:32

Sausages cause weight gain for ME, I mean

plumstone · 04/06/2015 08:44

morning all,

Today will be:

B- BPC, 2 cold sausages and some mayo
L - Not sure
D - Eggs probably fried in butter and some fried courgettes
W - 500mls so far and 2.5 to go!

Heatwave - well there were sunglasses worn while walking to work and much blue sky visible from office window - I have hopes for this continuing!

Belated HB Drama

If sausages cause me weight gain I will crawl under my desk and sob silently, while rocking!!!!!!!!

Tetley650 · 04/06/2015 09:24

Cathy - look on Amazon they do cream whippers - small investment but you can do your own so you know what's in it.
Lex poor you - that's a huge amount of water defo not the UK!

ewanhoozami · 04/06/2015 09:42

Heatwave update SW: I did not wear a cardigan on the school run this morning Grin

B - BPB made with fresh beef dripping.

I might get evangelical about this soon.
