Morning all.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness which looks a bit different this morning! All the tabs appear to be at the top now! No idea what's going on there.

I hope that week 3 hasn't been too unkind to you all, but if you have found that your weight loss has stopped, or even that you've put a pound or so back on, don't worry!

It's your body adjusting to the new regime. Just KOKO (keep on keeping on) and you'll be fine. Things will get moving again very soon, although be prepared for a lower weekly loss from here on in - around 1-2lbs a week, which is a perfect and more sustainable way to lose.

Here's to a good week 4!

But monkey things are different now - you have a newborn and you're not sleeping well. Poor sleep can affect things.

And you're still drinking Pepsi Max ...

BIWI · 07/06/2015 14:56

And you haven't listed out your meals each day! That's important, because there may be something that we can help you with

Hey all,

I'm feeling "bigger" over the past few days. Suspect I'm going to have a nasty shock on the scales tomorrow. Breakfast is too carby for a start. I'm going to ditch the chia and change yogurt as I don't think it's very low carb.

B: creamy mushrooms, bacon, eggs.
L: left over slow cooker pork with guacamole, sour cream and lettuce and cheese.
D: meat balls. Not enough fat or veg here.

Sorelip · 07/06/2015 16:45

I'm not losing either. I suspect too much dairy may be to blame, but I also have to accept that things are different from 10 years ago and two kids later.

Something is irritating my gut though; I'm bloated as hell. And having a shit day.

It'll be chicken and veg for dinner.

Romeyroo · 07/06/2015 17:32

monkey, I think with a newborn and lack of sleep plus MH issues, that will makes things more difficultFlowers

but biwi is right, please don't be so hard on yourself, and do list out your meals. I have found minor tweaks make a big difference.

digger, I have been using flaxseed for about a week and it does affect how I feel. I have decided it is for occasional, not daily use.

I am in the feeling bigger camp as well; it is honestly true that small things make a big difference. It will be a strict week 5 for me.

BIWI · 07/06/2015 17:33

Sorelip - sorry you're having a shit day. If you're bloated, you need to drink more water. And definitely (sorry!) being 10 years older will make a difference.

Make sure you have plenty of fat with your dinner.

OP posts:
Romeyroo · 07/06/2015 17:34

sorelip, yes, ageing and life takes its toll. For me, the difference is also that pre-DC I got to the gym so was much more toned. Really looking forward to being able to go again

BIWI · 07/06/2015 17:34

Flowers for all of you who are (or think you are Wink) struggling. We all have weeks like this. Don't let it get you down. Make sure you are following the rules properly - why not go back and read them again to make sure?! - and KOKO.

I've been severely off the wagon this week and feel like shit now, tired and nauseous.
I've just made a lovely lchf tea (or dinner) courgetti fried in olive oil, mushrooms fried in butter, broccoli, spinach, double cream and cheese
I'm back on it now Smile

BIWI · 07/06/2015 18:58

It's quite shocking how those pesky carbs can make you feel, isn't it? Grin

Hope the scales aren't too hard on you tomorrow

Hi all, just spent a lovely day in the Cotswolds! With a pack lunch today has been:

B - two egg omelette with a filling of mushrooms, courgettes fried in butter with Philly stirred through - only had half

L - other half of omelette and a bag of pork scratchings

Snack - something very bad that I couldn't finish - I think all I want is a random taste of "bad" will focus on the fact that it's uneconomical to pay for the whole thing! Any who only ate half which was lovely - but had to leave the rest - there was a grossly overweight woman watching me leave the rest - felt smug that I had willpower to do this, thought she was going to ask for it!!!!

D - pork belly and Brie - completely unbalanced but yummy!!

TheCowThatLaughs · 07/06/2015 19:51

The scales would be incredibly hard on me I think, I'm pre-menstrual too. Still not decided whether I dare go on them tomorrow or whether I'll leave it another week.

LexLoofah · 07/06/2015 19:54

Hello all, roast beef last night was lovely, I ate all the crispy fat off the top, it was so sweet!

b - Greek yog, cream, 6 blackberries, a few walnuts - had planned a full cooked brekkie but rest of family had already had something else so chose the easy route, cuppa, creamy coffee
L - cauli pizzas with ham and shallot, much less of a faff now I have made these a few times, cucumber, hm mayo
D - think we will have sofa picnic as fridge stuffed with salami, cheese, leftover roast beef and salad etc and cannot be bothered making anything

Off to take DS and a friend to cinema to watch Tomorrowland, I think all cinema food is vile so will not be tempted, will just have water.

I baked bread and cake for Dcs yesterday and found it surprisingly easy to resist, can't say the same for DH who has become a bit complacent of late. We both need to get serious about this again from tomorrow after my mid week blip and his weekend G&Ts and a few other things

Gcalgske · 07/06/2015 20:43

Today:
B: bpc
L: pork shoulder steak, tomato, cucumber and avocado salad in mock pizza express dressing
D: chicken thighs roasted in olive oil with skin and cauliflower in easy cheesey bacon sauce

Small pot of extra thick cream with a melted square 85% choc stirred through.
Coffee with cream
Tonnes of water

lisbapalea · 07/06/2015 20:59

Amazed that despite being at various parties and events at other people's houses I stayed on the wagon today. Have had moments of feeling quite bulky this week but felt a bit better today - possibly because I have had 3 poos!

B - coyo and ff Greek, prob 4 blackberries and 4 raspberries, some coconut flakes
L - chicken wing, half chicken breast, sausage, cheese coleslaw, bbq'd mushroom and pepper kebab, slice of port salut, salad leaves and dressing
D - Brie and bacon salad, lots of dressing

Prob a bit too much processed meat, and only about 2l water so need to drink lots now and hope I don't wake in the night needing to wee!

readyforno2 · 07/06/2015 21:12

Does anyone else have days where they're just not hungry. I didn't eat anything till dinner time but didn't even realise iyswim

Also, I'm really craving milk at the moment.. Any ideas?

Romeyroo · 07/06/2015 21:19

B was a two egg omelette with spinach and mackerel

Did not have lunch as out and not hungry, had a snack of cucumber sticks and mayonnaise mid afternoon

D was tuna and mayonnaise with hard boiled egg, spinach leaves, lettuce and cucumber

I have got some coyo for at work breakfast tomorrow Smile

monkeyfacegrace · 07/06/2015 21:59

Damn looks like I'm mega premenstrual too Grin

I can't really say meals as I don't have set meals. I'm a grazer. For example, I had 8 kids to look after yesterday so just picked at a whole shoulder of roast pork all day. I was shattered by bedtime so had a huge bowl of broccoli and cauliflower with grated cheese, and that's it.

Tomorrow I'm going to attempt to be more structured.

B:2 fried eggs in butter and a chunk of cheese
L: roast chicken with brocolli and cauliflower
D: Fried mince meat with couple tablespoons of passata, layered with sliced aubergines and topped with cheese. Will grate a courgette into the mince too actually.

I'll drink 4x500ml bottles of water, and probably have another 2l bottle of fizzy water with a shot of squash.

I'm 5'7" and 159lb. Im a solid size 12. I need to get to 145lb to be a size 10 and back into all my nice clothes.
135lb slowly and surely by Christmas is my goal. That'll take me to a size 8 and hot to trot.

(Sorry that last paragraph is more for my reference when I come back and reread the thread)

blessedenough · 07/06/2015 22:14

Hi all, I had a5lb loss this week and then had a stupid stupid blip. So wont be weighing in the morning.

Today I had a series of BPCs made just with coconut oil - yummy nicer than adding butter imo. At a farm open day so had bbq pork ribs and mayo. Dinner was chicken salad, cheese and a lush dressing.

I have had loads of water today. Cant believe we are about to start week five.

Hangonaminutewillyou · 07/06/2015 22:17

Not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow, have been weighing daily and amazed by daily fluctuations - not unusual to vary by 2lb so really anything less will not be meaningful to me. Plus had a tricky day today. At a friend's for BBQ & essentially had carbs foisted on me. Won't go into details about what as I don't want to cause triggers for others. Annoying when people want to sabotage you but even more annoying when you give in just to fit in/make them feel more comfortable. Back on stricter wagon for me this week as a result (shame,as I had been doing fairly well til today). Fingers crossed tomorrow will not be too disheartening!

Gcalgske · 07/06/2015 22:20

Ready I find unsweetened almond milk really hits the spot when I have a milk craving- alpro is 0.1g/100ml

Hangonaminutewillyou · 07/06/2015 22:24

Also had a row with DH over his diet...I have become a diet bore it seems but I worry about the hidden sugars he eats but he won't bloody listen! I think it may have something to do with the chronic fatigue he has been suffering with for at least a year. GP finally taking it seriously but diet doesn't seen to have been discussed yet. DH seems to think he's doing a low carb diet just because he's not eating half a loaf of bread with every meal like he used to do (so yes, it is lower carb but not low carb) but he won't listen to me & gets very cross when u suggest he's eating too many carbs!

BIWI · 07/06/2015 22:47

Hangon - there comes a point when you have to 'shut up', IYSWIM!

You've made your point.

Stop buying the carbs that are causing him all this grief, and - assuming (which I know is dangerous!) that you are cooking, don't cook any of the carbs that your DH might want to eat.

OP posts:
BIWI · 07/06/2015 22:48

In other words, make him make a 'definite' choice that he's going to eat/have carbs. Then it's not your responsibility
