Welcome everyone!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness that the lovely Sayra creates and cares for. Come and confess all.

If you prefer, you can use the individual Weight Tracker, provided by MNHQ, which will open (I hope) tomorrow morning.

Please make sure that you know the rules, and that you know about the allowed veg - look at the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet - and think about printing them off so that you have them to hand

If you have any questions, obviously you can ask them here, but there's also a specific questions thread because the chat threads can move so quickly that questions can get missed.

Unfortunately I'm working pretty full on for the next three days, so won't be around very much - I'll try and check in as much as I can, but in reality I'm not going to be around very much until Thursday - apologies in advance.

Very good luck to you all

I've put on a pound since last week, now. It's not that I've gone off the woe, but as I said yesterday, I have eaten too much, snacked far too much, and not eaten enough vegetables. I am glad that I didn't succumb to any alcohol yesterday, but unfortunately I stuffed my face with low carb food (but no veg) all day yesterday! Tomorrow is another day!

LondonBetti · 17/05/2015 10:27

So, after a perfect week fell off the wagon in style yesterday with 4 small glasses of prosecco over the day (it was a special event) and a portion of polenta Blush. In my defence I did drink 4l of water and kept away from the most amazing desserts I have seen in my life.

Have I just ruined the week now Sad?

CrabbyTheCrabster · 17/05/2015 11:05

Teteley for BC light, when berries are ok, I used to make a yoghurt thing that was very ice-creamy in texture (imho). Full fat Total greek yoghurt with a fruit compote mixed in (frozen berries just cooked down in a saucepan a bit to soften them), some double cream and a tablespoon or so of ground flaxseed. The flax softens and absorbs moisture so it thickens the yoghurt when left overnight in the fridge.

CrabbyTheCrabster · 17/05/2015 11:06

Ah I see you said coconut cream. Sorry - not reading properly!

Romeyroo · 17/05/2015 11:25

Biwi, thank you for the reassurance, I think it is just being tired and feeling overwhelmed with other stuff, I need to be really a bit more focused on what I am eating instead of grabbing between rushing around.

So, plan for today:

B was sausage, spinach and courgette

L is out, but it is a fish restaurant, so will go for some fish and some kind of green veg or salad

D will be either Bolognese and courgetti or home-made burger and more salad (but I mean spinach leaves, rather than lettuce).

I am not good at meal-planning as it makes me feel constrained - clearly I still have issues from controlling XH, I realise I am not good at feeling like the WOE is constraining too. Generally, I feel like it has opened up a whole new realm of food and relating to being hungry which is great; but I can't do meal planning beyond making sure that I stay BC friendly and I need a bit more self-discipline there to make sure I stay on track.

Kleptronic · 17/05/2015 11:34

Well I lost 3lb and have put 1.5lb back on, boo!

I did fall head first into a bottle of prosecco though. It was the only way I could get through a Pampered Chef party without eating any cheesy breadsticks, crisps, risotto, chocolate yorkshire profiteroles...

Have I spoilt it for myself now? All week so good, sigh...I'm thinking about getting those Exante packets and just eating those, they're all protein. I've a wedding to go to in 2 weeks and I have to drop weight or I won't fit in me dress. Curse my greedy nature!

ApplySomePressure · 17/05/2015 11:52

TMI alert- does anyone else have terrible squits? I've been out all morning and had to run to the toilet twice. Didn't think I was going to make it Blush

readyforno2 · 17/05/2015 12:21

Hope you feel better soon apply. Not sure if that's to do with this woe or not.

I seem to be 4lb down since Monday but not going to believe it till tomorrow morning.

miffy49 · 17/05/2015 13:17

This thread really trots on! Spent yesterday sorting DH's accounts and logged on to masses of chat!

Gcal I'm trying to cut out yoghurt too. I wasn't eating loads but it seemed to be driving my blood glucose back up. That's why the interest in Coyo. I've been using your idea of coconut milk with flax seed as a substitute and really like it but it can get carby if you don't watch your brand or your quantities can't it?

Crabby Trash I will follow your kefir progress with interest and have save the link to the grains. I used to have a kombucha culture many years ago and it sounds a similar process.

CobbOnn I make my oopsies like that. I just spread it out on a swiss roll tray on a non stick liner and then cut it into squares when its cool. Makes a neat sarni and you can freeze it too. I keep a box in the freezer for a quick LC meal.

toomuchicecream · 17/05/2015 13:20

ewan - love the idea of a Fuck It Seal. Such a good way of describing the situation.

ApplySomePressure · 17/05/2015 15:00

I feel fine apart from my tummy...it's as though I'm suffering from terrible IBS but I've not had any gluten...Confused

My food processor arrived today! Baking a cauliflower pizza as I type.

miffy49 · 17/05/2015 15:11

Apply are you normally gluten intolerant? Could it be hidden gluten? I have been LC now for several years and I have never had trouble with constipation. Always the opposite unless I add in carbs and then everything slows up! I find a bit of flax seed has a normalising effect but I would wait for a day or so just in case its simply a bug.

ditavonteesed · 17/05/2015 16:12

Can I ask a question about avacadoes, I have never had one that I have prepared myself although I do love them. Just bought some to go with my salads and meat for lunchs next week, can I prepare it now or will it go wierd? ( mushy/brown/off)

dillite · 17/05/2015 16:50

COYO IS HOW MUCH??? £7 a tub!!!

Anyway today-
Breakfast 2 boiled eggs mixed with oily tuna and mayo, cucumber and radish salad
Lunch- scrambled eggs with smoked salmon cooked with butter and cream, lettuce salad drizzled with oil
Dinner- tenderised beef with cream and cheese sauce, broccoli and beans

Water, 2l down, 1 to go.

Romeyroo · 17/05/2015 17:19

Apply, since starting this WOE, I have found I get IBS symptoms from kale and cauliflower - I was very disappointed because I was loving kale crisps but they give me awful stomach ache.

L ended up being a huge fillet of salmon, broccoli and courgette in a cream and saffron sauce - it was lovely but I am SO full I suspect dinner will be a herbal tea.

ditavonteesed · 17/05/2015 17:28

I ended up having lunch in the shopping centre with dd's, they had greggs sausage rolls and buns. I discovered that M&S do a range of protein pots, checked the carb counts and had salmon and some sort of veg, no idea what was nice though, pranws with mayo for dipping and 2 hard boiled eggs with spinach. Worth knowing if anyone is stuck in a buying lunch situation.

toomuchicecream · 17/05/2015 17:30

dita - don't prepare avocado in advance. Once they're ripe enough to be nice, if I cut mine up and put it in my salad in the morning it's fine at lunchtime. But if I don't manage all my lunch and finish it in the evening/the next day, it's brown and mushy.

ewanhoozami · 17/05/2015 17:51

dita those protein pots are such a good find. I discovered that boots sell hard boiled eggs too (although the price was enough to make me remember to bring my own the next time!)

crabby & trash I am bang up for getting some kefir and trying the process with coconut milk.

B - mushrooms, 2 eggs and 2 rashers bacon fried in ghee
L - was out, but their celeriac and courgette soup was spot on
D - Lamb mince keema with cauli rice and raita made with avocado instead of yogurt. Weirdly good.
S - none Shock

One week of dairy-free LCing DONE

Preminstreltension · 17/05/2015 18:27

Have feasted today Blush

B. Ff Greek yogurt plus cream cheese
L: sausages bacon and egg. All low carb with butter
D: moussaka which was stunning if I say so myself Grin. Low carbed it with shallots, leek, low carb tinned toms and cheese sauce made from double cream, eggs, cream cheese and cheddar. Should be about 30g of carb for the whole lot and it was prob 5 portions.

Huge amount of food but will be more modest tomorrow.

AndTheBandPlayedOn · 17/05/2015 19:24

Apply some- I did yesterday, but I think it was a bit of an overload of fiber from 5 stalks of celery (for lunch Friday?) Plus the fat to grease the way...

As mentioned up thread, sorry I did not note the name, I also got an unexpected period. I am menopausal (or Peru-menopausal?). I had not had a period for several months, then got a light one the day before my mil' s funeral which was 1May. And now I have another that started yesterday, 16 May, and is much much heavier.

While on TMI, {{why stop now? }} Blush , on the poop discussions, I have found mine to be much less stinky.

HemanOrSheRa · 17/05/2015 19:39

Ugh. I've been struck down with an upset tummy today too Apply. But it is definitely a bug in my case. Hot, cold, aching, headache. Bleugh. I've managed to get some painkillers down with some water so feeling a bit better now. Which is just as well as the laundry fairy hasn't turned up again so I suppose I'll have to do it.

I haven't had anything to eat. I didn't want to chance it. But I am feeling a bit hungry, sort of. But also a bit churny too Confused. I think I might risk a chicken breast poached in water with asiany type flavours, ginger for nausea and a little veg. Kill or Cure.

Band. When everything is working normally, I agree! Much more efficient too BlushSmile.

plumstone · 17/05/2015 19:40

Hi all,

B - ff Greek yogurt
L - spinach omelette, with Brie
D - baked salmon with creamed leeks and mushrooms
W - 3 litres and two small coffees

Been ok this weekend, cheeky weigh in this morning, and am the same since last Monday, which is good as there was lots of fun drunk in the States last week, and not enough to water!!

plumstone · 17/05/2015 19:40

Gin not fun!!!!

Heffalumps · 17/05/2015 19:49

Hello
Please may I join? I have no idea how to add myself Blush
I have accessed the weight tracker but am not sure how to add myself to the spreadsheet (sorry), please could some one add me on to it? Thank you.
I started on Monday at 168lbs and have lurked since, but I think if I join in it will make me stick to it a little better!
Many thanks and apologies for technological stupidity!

lisbapalea · 17/05/2015 20:00

Hello all,

Feeling sorry for myself with a stinking cold and slightly shivery. Bleurgh. Have been good today though so far:

B - coyo mixed with ff Greek and some dble cream
L - bbq at a friend's house. Had homemade burger, 2 sausages and 1 lamb kofte with mayonnaise, big salad and coleslaw
D - contemplating having an egg and ricotta muffin with some leftover roasted broccoli.
