Welcome everyone!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness that the lovely Sayra creates and cares for. Come and confess all.

If you prefer, you can use the individual Weight Tracker, provided by MNHQ, which will open (I hope) tomorrow morning.

Please make sure that you know the rules, and that you know about the allowed veg - look at the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet - and think about printing them off so that you have them to hand

If you have any questions, obviously you can ask them here, but there's also a specific questions thread because the chat threads can move so quickly that questions can get missed.

Unfortunately I'm working pretty full on for the next three days, so won't be around very much - I'll try and check in as much as I can, but in reality I'm not going to be around very much until Thursday - apologies in advance.

Very good luck to you all

Week one nearly over and I am now down 4 lbs. yesterday had yogurt and cream for breakfast, salmon and salad for lunch and steak with broccoli in a cheese sauce for dinner. Sauce was cream cheese, cream and mature cheddar melted together with a bit of Dijon mustard and was really nice.

Apply - that's brilliant, what a good loss. It is so nice to see the scales going down.

Dum - like others have said weight can fluctuate so much day by day. As I have said it is nice to see the scales going down BUT if they don't, or go up a bit, I stop weighing. It is so easy to get a bit scale obsessed and really, if you are following the plan, it will work. So maybe try not weighing for a few days and I bet you will have lost by then. I also find that even if I don't lose weight I am changing shape so clothes feel looser even if the scales aren't cooperating.

I know that for me organisation is key otherwise I spend the time grazing and it really is better to have proper meals. I don't feel very hungry at all on low carb but then I didn't gain all this weight just by being hungry! I don't feel as satisfied on days I graze as on days I have had 'proper' meals and I know this means I tend to eat more.

This weekend I am planning on printing out some recipes and doing some batch cooking and freezing meals.

catgirl1976 · 16/05/2015 09:41

Right. Started this morning. Had bacon and scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Still hungry so might go raid the fridge for cheese.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 16/05/2015 10:00

Mcdonalds sausage...

Pork Sausage Patty :
Pork (97%), Salt, Dextrose, Herb and Herb Extract, Glucose Syrup, Spice, Yeast Extract.

Under 3% carb :)

CrabbyTheCrabster · 16/05/2015 10:12

I'm surprised at that Beyond but that's great for all the MaccyD lovers. Grin WTF do you need to put dextrose and glucose syrup in a fucking sausage, though! Hmm

FresherThanYou · 16/05/2015 10:53

Mother of all headaches this morning! Was reallyproud of myself lat night managed to make one glass of champagne lay 5 hours Shock making cauliflower muffins right now to try & ease the pain!

trashcanjunkie · 16/05/2015 12:46

Craving toast pretty badly right now. Looking at lc options on Pinterest but dunno if they're going to work. Had bacon, egg and mushrooms for breakfast. Cuppa with coconut cream. Feel bloody famished now. Have got chicken stock ready and some of those Konjac noodles but scared coz everyone gets a bad arse off them Confused I've ordered some weird shit (thanks crabby) that's going to allow me to make coconut yoghurt at home. Coyo is lovely but it's £3.50 a tub here. Utter pisstake. Will report back next week on results. Ok. Got to stir my ass. Still in bed but must do some decorating now to placate angsty dp Sad

MeerkatManners · 16/05/2015 13:34

Had same breakfast as you trashcan. Made moussaka last night it was delicious and DH had a huge helping too. Is there any harm in him dipping in occasionally as he is eating the usual amount of cards and not following this WOE?

MeerkatManners · 16/05/2015 13:35

Carbs obviously!

CrabbyTheCrabster · 16/05/2015 13:48

Meerkat he may finds that he gains weight because if he's eating high fat but also enough carbs to trigger the insulin response, he will lay that down as fat (if it exceeds his metabolic needs). If he's like my DP, though, he'll be able to eat lchf in the evenings, bread at lunchtime and still bloody lose weight. Grin

You're welcome Trashy - recommending weird shit is my forte. Wink

Fatstacks · 16/05/2015 14:03

T.C the noodles are fine for me I love them in chicken noodle soup Grin

My DP is passing a kidney stone......

I'm dying to get in my Amazon box to see my new face creams but will look all unsympathetic.

He has already been a tit this week because he's been posted, only Germany not Syria or owt, and he is trying lchf.

Every five minutes he will say 'no rice?' 'No crackers?' 'No cider?' Despite having spent 12 weeks offering me carby stuff and being told it isn't low carb.

And now his bloody kidney stones are starting.
His are so much worse than others and are so painful they would kill a civvy...........natch Angry

dillite · 16/05/2015 14:18

Anyone else feels utterly shattered?

Breakfast- omelette with chorizo, bit of cheese and some red peppers- literally a slice diced very small
Lunch- ham and cheese rolls with a salad (lettuce, radishes, cucumber)
Dinner- another roast chicken with broccoli, green beans and cauliflower mash

I also had a handful of blueberries this morning.

I feel as if I have water coming out through my ears.

ceres · 16/05/2015 14:27

Dillite - I'm the opposite, I have loads more energy than usual!

Fatstacks · 16/05/2015 14:39

I like the cauliflower leaves in my noodle soup.

In fact.
I might pop round to Sainsbury, escape the groaning Grin

(Me in the queue with my cauliflower)

Week 1 - May Low Carb Bootcamp - Off we go!
dillite · 16/05/2015 14:51

Lucky you, ceres. I am barely keeping awake. And I slept 8 hours last night!

ApplySomePressure · 16/05/2015 15:07

Fat I was just at a Tesco self serve with a single cauliflower....!

ApplySomePressure · 16/05/2015 15:15

Yeah I reckon it's all water loss too, I must not get disheartened next week. Luckily I have you lot to keep me going!

Starbucks came out with loads of freebies for our staff and pupils today- glad to say I resisted! Wasn't that heard actually - think I'm losing my sweet cravings

nobodyknowswheremyjonnyhasgone · 16/05/2015 15:20

Aaaagghhh the weekends are so hard! Got stuck at a bbq for lunch, was so hungry that I scoffed a pile of sausages and onions. Don't think they would have been lo carb sausages and onions def not great, only salads were pasta and couscous based so swerved them. Will be in a cafe with friends waiting for DC at a party right over dinner time 6-8. Home for half an hour now and looked in fridge to try and see if I could find anything to snack on before Ocado arrive later while I'm out and only found some Boursin which I have been eating off the knife. Meeting friends for dinner after the party, think I'll be ok if I can get through the cafe and birthday cake scenario. Am feeling very weak-willed today. Mainly I think because I feel a bit at everyone else's mercy.

Find this much easier during the week when I am fully in control!

shebedee · 16/05/2015 15:56

My scales show 6lbs gone so feeling very pleased about that Grin.
Got into a pair of jeans that have been waiting for me for a month nowSmile.

So far today
3 coffees with cream, butter and coconut oil
B-smoked mackerel- Greek salad leftovers and a hard boiled egg
L- 2 burgers (100% posh ones from Sainsburys) topped with emmental and heaps of salad with mayo
D- mushroom and ham omelette
2 litres of water down and 2.5 to go - I've only been having 3L a day this week but have just reread the rules. I think I'll have sleep next to the loo.
Thanks for all the support and wonderful posts that make me laugh.

miffy49 · 16/05/2015 15:58

I have visions of them shipping extra teams of pickers to Lincolnshire to cope with the massive demand for caulis since BC started. Farmers standing scratching their heads and wondering why the sudden surge! Grin

Trash & Crabby can I have some info on Coyo please? I can't get it round here so can't even try it but if its that much for a small tub I think it would be staying on the shelf. I used to make my own Greek yoghurt but got a bit short on fridge space due to DS taking over his own shelf! Doesn't leave much room for straining it. He should be moving out very soon and I can go back to home made again so could give it a go. Don't understand quite how it works with something other than milk as the base.

saranghae · 16/05/2015 16:09

Hi everyone, hope you are enjoying the weekend Smile

Checked my weight today, its lower than yesterday but I feel like I've gained more weight. My face seems a lot bigger than it was on Monday.
Anyway, the family at home have finally understood that I can't have carbs, every meal it's been eat a bit of this and that... annoying.
Stuggling with drinking water today, just fed up of rushing to the loo , I might as well live there!

Breakfast - Mushroom,tomato scrambled egg
Lunch - Vegetable broth with shredded spiced chicken
Dinner - not sure what to eat yet. Probably yoghurt

Snacks - Coffee with cream.

Fatstacks - Grin It will be easy to spot the MNer's buying out all the cauliflower!

All of these cauliflower recipes sound amazing, definitely going to try the cauli'rice' and the options Sass mentioned .Also I tried out your broccoli soup recipe yesterday, it was lush! Thank you. Smile

DramaAlpaca · 16/05/2015 16:24

Well, the scales have moved at long last. I am 1 lb down today. One measly pound, but as I haven't lost in about 3 weeks I'll take that.

In other news, my phone that I managed to drown in bulletproof tea the other day has been revived, after spending a few days drying out in a tub of rice in the airing cupboard. Phew!

Fatstacks · 16/05/2015 16:26

Another benefit of hflc D.A !
If there had been sugar in the tea the contacts inside would have fused!

Smile
DramaAlpaca · 16/05/2015 16:33

Shock!

HemanOrSheRa · 16/05/2015 16:34

I've really not been hungry today. Only just getting peckish now. I have been LCing for just over a month though. Apart from last weekend Confused. I'm guessing my enormous appetite is finally suppressed!

No breakfast today. Cup of rooibos tea.

Late lunch - a small bowl of ff greek yoghurt. It's all I could manage or fancied.

Dinner will be bbq sirloin steak, big salad with homemade tarragon mayo.

Water. Lots of. 2 cups of black coffee at hairdressers. Don't know if it was decaf or not.

Have a happy sunny Saturday evening! Smile

ApplySomePressure · 16/05/2015 16:35

I need to try some bulletproof coffee. Off to search the thread
