Welcome everyone!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness that the lovely Sayra creates and cares for. Come and confess all.

If you prefer, you can use the individual Weight Tracker, provided by MNHQ, which will open (I hope) tomorrow morning.

Please make sure that you know the rules, and that you know about the allowed veg - look at the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet - and think about printing them off so that you have them to hand

If you have any questions, obviously you can ask them here, but there's also a specific questions thread because the chat threads can move so quickly that questions can get missed.

Unfortunately I'm working pretty full on for the next three days, so won't be around very much - I'll try and check in as much as I can, but in reality I'm not going to be around very much until Thursday - apologies in advance.

Very good luck to you all

Just made oopsie rolls using just eggs and cream cheese. Really pretty good (been lcing for 5 weeks now and while I haven't been craving bread made a nice change). Had open sandwiches instead of just ham salad.

Recipe made 9: 3 eggs whites whipped. Add to it the yolks and 100g cream cheese all whisked up. Pinch of salt. Greaseproof paper. 30 mins ish at 150.

Put some jeera seeds on 3 to have with my veg curry and lamb shish kebabs later.

dillite - why are you eating blueberries?! Not allowed on Bootcamp.

If this is your first week, don't worry about being tired - it's all part of the process. You'll soon feel much better.

In the meantime, your food looks good, but could be a bit low in fat? Which also won't be helping you - you need the fat.

miffy the coyo is nice but I'm too tight to shell that much out. I've made coconut yoghurt (it's just the same as milk based) but you do need to thicken it, it doesn't strain like a milk based yog. I normally just eat a thick canned coconut milk if I'm avoiding dairy. The home bargains one (rich and creamy) is 69p for 400g and 2.5g/100g carbs. I know you don't get the same gut health benefit so I take a vitamin with probiotic.

dillite · 16/05/2015 17:13

Sorry, I know I'm not allowed. But we were on the bus and my daughter had had enough, so I finished them off. There were only 10 or so. Too expensive to just bin them.

Not enough fat? I will try and eat more then. I thought it was a lot!

Gcalgske · 16/05/2015 17:16

B: bpc, two eggs fried in olive oil
L: 70g smoked salmon, tomato / cucumber/ shallot dressed with olive oil, lemon juice and capers

ewanhoozami · 16/05/2015 17:17

Just here to meal-shout:

B - 3 eggs fried in ghee on spinach
L - Avocado and salami salad with lots of EVOO
D - Sumac salmon fried in ghee with cauli and broccoli roasted with cumin and lemon.

too many coffees with almond milk but if you met DS2 you'd understand Confused

ijustwanttobeme · 16/05/2015 17:32

nobody well when I wasn't BCing I fell off the wagon big style Sad

crabby I'm not worried about dextrose, yummy McD sausage is only 3g carbs Grin

So today it's been full working on since 5am, so I've only managed two coffees.

Still at work, but planning that dinner will be Indian style spinach with mince and eggs.

BIWI · 16/05/2015 17:35

dillite - it was a question to you about the fat, because you didn't really specify where you were using it:

Breakfast- omelette with chorizo, bit of cheese and some red peppers- literally a slice diced very small

Where is the fat in this? Did you use lots of butter in the omelette, because there's only 'a bit' of cheese?

Lunch- ham and cheese rolls with a salad (lettuce, radishes, cucumber)

Did you have an oily dressing on your salad? Or did you use some mayo as well/instead of?^

Dinner- another roast chicken with broccoli, green beans and cauliflower mash

Sounds lovely - hope you ate the chicken skin! Where is the fat in this meal?

dillite · 16/05/2015 17:42

Oh, sorry! Yes, breakfast was fried in butter. There was olive oil drizzled over salad and then chicken is being cooked with skin, always, in coconut oil and cauli mash will have double cream and butter in it. Will need to remember to write these details down as well.

BIWI · 16/05/2015 17:45

It's only because I keep watch over you all with hawk eyes Grin Wink

But it's really important. Remember, we should be eating in the following proportions:

fat:protein:carbs

Crabby- thank you overall I think there maybe an intolerance to dairy and will defo up veg amounts. Today had egg and bacon and then goulash soup in John Lewis - no bread and even asked the server to avoid the chunks of potato!! Tonight bolognese with courgetti. Evening of water ahead but have had some already today. Aim is hopefully be where I started on Monday and then hopefully catch up with losing. Feel remarkably calm again and not so weighed down as I had.

Tetley650 · 16/05/2015 18:05

Bolognese made with 20% fat mince lots of herbs, garlic and a can of chopped toms 4.4 carbs per 100g but have added a tablespoon of coconut oil to help counter carbs in toms. Bubbling away at the mo with a small oil slick glistening on top!!

BIWI · 16/05/2015 18:16

Yum! Grin

CrabbyTheCrabster · 16/05/2015 18:37

No worries Tetley. You can get lower carb tinned toms than that... Sains or Waitrose own are 3.something. Ciro I think are lower (check that though).

Miffy I don't know anything about the coyo. What I'd recommended to Trashy is kefir, which is a micro-flora colony to which you feed milk and it digests the lactose to turn it into a highly probiotic yoghurt type drink. I feed mine raw unpasteurised milk, but Trashy is trying hers with coconut milk as she's dairy free. Doubtless she'll report back with the results. Smile

Gcalgske · 16/05/2015 18:43

How did you make the coconut kefir trash?
I've been offered grains (milk grown) but I've been reluctant to try it with my daughters CMPA as its junk she could use it for gut health too (and she won't touch coyo)

Maryz

If you go out tonight and stuff your face then you will have mucked up your entire day whereas if you get back on track RIGHT NOW then you will be fine.

Just drink even more plenty of water.

B - scrambled eggs in butter, smoked salmon & spinach
L - was at a family lunch, stuck to water, had burger, no bun, large salad, coleslaw and a ridiculous amount of Mayo, aunt looked at me oddly but the a cousins very new baby arrived, so all attention on her - did get a sneaky eyebrow raise when I was only drinking water but they'll just think I'm pregnant!!!!
d - not really hungry, two baby bel and some olives

Water - 2.25 litres down 1 to go.

All those on coyo, it has replaced wine as my Friday night treat- cannot believe how pricey it is!

StuntNun · 16/05/2015 19:17

Maryz I was in Ikea today as well. We could have had a meet up!

trashcanjunkie · 16/05/2015 19:34

Having read up a bit on the kefir grains (my mum had some when I was little, she called it her yoghurt monster dos it looks a bit like rubbery cauliflower when it gets bigger) I have discovered the following...

You can use coconut milk in either goats or cows milk kefir. I've ordered a goat one. They arrive dehydrated, and you need to activate them with either cow or goat milk first of all. (You first soak them in dechlorinated water which you achieve by leaving the water to stand open for 24 hours, then pouring it back and forth to airate it) once the grains are active, you can switch to coconut milk, and as far as I remember mum used to keep hers in the airing cupboard for about 24 hours.

I have ordered the grains, and I have a yoghurt maker, which I might try as it's not warm constantly in our airing cupboard. I think I'll grow the grains in milk then separate it out in case I kill it with the coconut....
