fuck me boots are very popular with men, i wouldnt be too concerned

unless they are like the kind of boots you get being advertised in the back of sunday supplements for pensioners, with furry insides and zips up the front, in a nice shade of polyester brown

piratecat · 29/03/2010 17:01

lol or the big slipper!!

lou33 · 29/03/2010 17:25

piratecat · 29/03/2010 17:58

any pof users, go look at billy197371, check out the photo.

and lol

cake4ever · 29/03/2010 17:59

Evening all

MrsM - oooh the boots thing how weird. Was just wondering under what circumstances this boot kissing thing happened. Surely not the school run!

Pirate - I so identify with how you feel about this against the background of your family and ex. I felt exactly the same as you with the roofer. Now have to look at him coming up on POF online etc. God he's still bloody gorgeous but a complete git so that's that.

Fireman is officially a jerk but I'm not bothered. he left me yesterday saying that he would call me last night and wanted to see me again. Not a thing. I know it's early days but do any of you know what I mean when I say that I have developed a 6th sense now on whether someone will call (or not!)

Taking it all in my stride now thanks to Juice's post (well, for now anyway)

piratecat · 29/03/2010 18:21

cake, yes the being online thing and the happy status thing on FB, really crushed me yesterday.

Like, hang on you fecker, you have just been so horrible.

Hold your horses with fireman tho, you just never know? I know it's hard to trust.

cake4ever · 29/03/2010 18:27

Sorry Cake I missed the happy status on FB thing. What was that all about then? It bloody hurts doesn't it.

You never know about the fireman but I have a feeling in my gut! It's ok though.

piratecat · 29/03/2010 18:41

ah he was just all ladish and happy go lucky on his fb status.

Whilst i, as you all know !was going to hell and back with upset.

I am talking to a nice guy at the moment. I am keeping it back tho, and will see how this one goes!!!!

so you not too bothered about fireman then?

Betty79 · 29/03/2010 19:09

pc-if you havent already done it delete him off fb!

cake-You might still hear from fireman, but if you dont....next!

mrsm-Oooh the boots were back lol!

sm01-sorry i forgot to say happy birthday! hope u had a good one

eve-cheeky bloke sneaking in ur bed, shame u didnt like him

Hi everyone else, not caught up on tiredness from weekend yet. Heard from trucker yest, havent arranged to meet yet. told him ive got a few days spare at end of week so we'll see if he makes an effort if not im not too bothered. I felt similar to you pc and cake early on some am starting to be a bit more thick skinned about dating now!

piratecat · 29/03/2010 19:25

yes betty, skin is growing as we speak!!!

He never was on my friends list, but is 'searchable'

i will not search anymore. I am actually talking to two guys at the moment, get me!!!
lol

cake4ever · 29/03/2010 19:40

Go Pirate - play the game - good for you!

No, fireman was nice but not that bothered. Had a really lovely message from a bloke on POF earlier - he looked good and seemed so sincere! (not holding my breath!). We'll see.

Betty, the trucker is a slow mover but I think that's a good thing. Full on is a bad sign.

Hello to everyone else.

piratecat · 29/03/2010 20:26

ok strike one, too wimpy.

Betty79 · 29/03/2010 20:28

why have u been wimpy pc?

Betty79 · 29/03/2010 20:29

or was that the bloke lol

hatesponge · 29/03/2010 21:31

evening! lots to catch up on....

PC, cake and MrsMH well done for your positive attitudes & getting on with it all. Hopefully the next ones that come along will be an improvement!

Could do with some positivity here. Ex has now 'changed his mind' about our agreement because he can't wait 6 weeks for his money. Twat have had some messages on match, all from seemingly nice guys, but cant summon up the enthusiasm to reply...and am missing my boys as well, being 200 odd miles away from them 4 days a week is taking its toll

and yes,I know I'm being completely and utterly pathetic

piratecat · 29/03/2010 22:23

gosh i didn't know that about your boys sponge?

is it shared care arrangement? poor you.

Guy i just striked wasn't really being wimpy, i was being like a bulldog, poor thing!!

anyhow it just turns out he has previoulsy had a few emails with my sister on dating site, so had to say, bye!!

I live in a ridiculously small town, and he lives 20 miles away lol. City living is starting to sound better somehow.

oh can anyone also tell me how i get rid of these revenge feelings i have about bloke hwho let me down!! , i hope they pass

cake4ever · 29/03/2010 22:24

Hate so sorry to hear you're not feeling great. Forgive me but I think I must have missed the reason why your boys are away. Must be hard for you. Why do the bastard exs feel they can mess with our lives so badly? Another rhetorical question with no answer.

And no you are not being completely and utterly pathetic! Let's face it, we've all had our ups and downs on here and it doesn't matter what it's about - we are all entitled to feel crap occasionally or more even if we want to. It's tough being a single parent and don't put yourself under pressure to reply to the e-mails on Match. You will do it when you're ready.

Pirate - have you kicked one into touch for being wimpy - how was he wimpy?

piratecat · 29/03/2010 22:32

he was just not zoomy enough, i realised he'd not even made me smile in any of his messages!!

anyhow, he's cool we have said it was nice to chat and left it at that.

hatesponge · 29/03/2010 22:56

cake and pc, thank you..I am working away 4 days a week, have been doing it for a couple of months now but only another 3 weeks left thankfully...although the boys normally split their time between me and Ex, I would see them a lot more if I was at home, and also wouldnt feel so far away, which I literally am, but not long to go now, looking on the brightside!

pc - am loving that the man was not zoomy enough (what a great word!)....most men I encounter are decidedly un-zoomy - want to find someone who can make me giggle

ninah · 30/03/2010 16:19

hate sorry about ex, no wonder your mind is not on match
I need to be fairly 'up' to even contemplate it
hope things settle down for you when working away ends

SingleMum01 · 30/03/2010 19:43

evening all, how's everyone? Who else is knackered?!

SingleMum01 · 30/03/2010 20:41

so that'd be everyone then!!

lou33 · 30/03/2010 21:08
DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 30/03/2010 21:18
ninah · 30/03/2010 21:27

juicy get back to it!
everyone else who does NOT have exams .. another proof of the weirdness that is man ..
remember I suggested a date to Thai farmer and he blew me out at the arranging stage?
has to be at least a month ago
well I just got a text apologising, saying he was 'unwell' but is better now and wants to go out next week!
Am I that scary lol
