starts here

why would you bin off gymboy before asking about it?

he may well just have been checking mail or hiding a profile or something, talk to him before you dump him

rj - I'll come snowboarding with you and won't mess you about!

Thanks everyone. It can get so on top of you, can't it. He is not an MP but head of a city council. I have told him what time I am collecting her on Sundays and he is accepting it at the moment. Just really worn out by all of this. If there's anything else then I will find a solicitor... get so worried that I'm not doing the things I should like saving for dd's higher education (esp given that this child has started adding up this week at 2.9 without me pushing it at all) so spending what little savings I have on a solicitor seems wrong some how. I just want her to have the best, whatever that is. It's like the being desperately torn by wanting to be a SAHM but more wanting her to grow up with respect for me and a positive view of work and her place in the world, etc. Oh, and enough money to turn the heating on, that's the other reason!

You might need to be pushing me out the door Friday and Saturday nights - but I am going to do this, for me, I am!

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 10/09/2009 09:37

mousie - if ur serious i got a real bargain. bulgaria 2nd or 3rd jane for 1 week. the £334 for HB. plus £110 covers the ski lessons, equipment and lift passes for the week. the best bit is for me is it flies direct from edi.

most of other things i had been looking at were connecting at gatwick.

and get this... to just drive up to aviemore.... the lessons alone!!!!... that doesn't include holiday or travel or equipment.. was.... over £300.

notevenamousie · 10/09/2009 09:42

Bet my ex wouldn't have dd though...
Otherwise I agree it sounds brilliant.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 10/09/2009 09:50

mousie - dont ask him.... tell him he's having. my ex is a real c*nt too. believe me. he's just back from a 2 month disappearing act where only time he reappeared was when i had to go to weymouth for 2 days.

and he's been firmly told that i'm going away snowboarding in jan for 1 week and he has dc.

end of.

yeah he stood there and mumped and moaned

"why you snowboarding... what a stupid thing to do. you will fall and be crap...la bla bla.. its so cold"

to which the response is... "good job your not going and staying home with kids then isn't it"

followed by a slamming of car door and me driving off.

you never know..... your ex might actually like the idea of an week with dd.... you can always bribe him with the xmas arrangement.

i,e he can have what days he wants if you get a week break.

ninah · 10/09/2009 12:38

sorry but there is no way your ex could send in his gf to nursery just because she works for Ofsted
twunt
worth a mention perhaps that there are issues, but I doubt he would follow through with this and make a fuss cos of personal axe to grind just make him look the tit he is
unbelievable

sincitylover · 10/09/2009 13:11

juicy - you sound like me when organising group travel - I would almost rather go on my own than faff around with organising friends.

On the subject of twattish exs (so sorry to hear about yours mousie) - mine has declined the round the table meeting I proposed for ironing out the probs which exist when dcs go to his nor has he discussed ways that he might make things better for them when they are there for their weekend 24 hour fortnightly visit.

I am quite sure it's so new p and I don't meet for one reason and he thinks I will expose him.

He also did not like the email I sent him in which I tried to hold a mirror up to his behaviour.

He has stopped 'harassing' me with his phone calls as requested but prob because he hasn't had boys.

So they dcs are going to resume visits from next week. Not sure if anything has really been achieved.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 10/09/2009 13:39

scl - thats a bit pants eh. not happy if not getting his own way.

as for hols.. no matter what we do i always end up arranging everyone as they are bloody hopeless between themselves.

but i just dont want to do it this time. i'm going to give them all a dealine of this wkd to decide if they are coming with me or not or i am just going to go myself. anyone wishing to come at a later date can add on to my existing booking.. but that way they will be responsible for their on payments and arranging themselves. they are driving me bonkers already. a friend who is on holiday in vegas at the moment has requested we all wait till she gets back on the 22nd and books time off work.

not happy about this as it means we may end up paying more if there's a price hike in that period.. and what if she doesn't get the time off work and i end up missing out altogether as cant afford it if price goes sky high.

thesouthsbelle · 10/09/2009 14:32

juciy sorry to hear of your mates messing you about - like mousie i'd come as well!

mousie - head of a city council or not it doesn't give him the right to act and behave the way he is.

Well last night I got the arse a bit with gymboy we were talking about footie and he said 'why won't you answer the question directly' to which I snapped at him saying ' well there's no need to get the arse with me is there' he laughed I answered the question - which was where my team are in the league compared to his. we carried on talking & that thou. think he thougth it was being funny, but at 10.45 after being woken up I wasn't impressed! still ho hum. Still been going on the dating site - trying my hardest not to stress but we deffo need to now talk about if we're still gonna be using it or not - after all, to say we're not intrested in meeting others and then going on there is a bit double dutch to me?? but won't talk to him about it I don't think until I see him again which I think will prob be on sunday.

also went to the dr's n have a throat infection - deep joy! so coupled with AF on her merry way it's prob good he's down the arse end of no where as i'm likely to burst in to tears every 5 mins at the mo!

anyhow.

lou33 · 10/09/2009 17:07

i had to visit the gp today , when i realised last night that my period is due the weekend i am seeing lb, so he gave me some pills to take to keep it at bay, thank goodness

also, ds1 has decided i need a pick up line so suggested one for me

it is

"did you break wind because you are blowing me away"

i have to admit to laughing but i am not too sure if it would be successful

OP posts:
DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 10/09/2009 17:39

lou - i like that one because i have childish/pervy humour

belle - i have ear infection. oh we're doing well eh?

lou33 · 10/09/2009 17:41

i think it's brilliant

sorry about your ear infection

OP posts:
inthemistsoftime · 10/09/2009 17:50

hey juicy, can I come too?

I would have if you hadn't been leaving from Edi, sounds like a really good price.

As the rest of you seem to have some ailment or other, I shall add mine, I have an ear infection (tis an ongoing problem, will be having surgery soon) and a rather nasty cold sore, caused by having a dick head of an ex, and to top it all I have been down to the osteopath this morning as I have strained my back and and can't do any running. Oh woo is me

Rant over

Hope you all get better soon

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 10/09/2009 17:55

lol - inthemist. leaving from seperate airport not really an issue. if you can fly from one of the main airports balkan flights go from then the price shouldn't differ too much.

i think they allow the chalet to be booked for the uber cheap price, and seperate flights from different airports.

i think the other airports were manchester, heathrow and gatwick fly same day as the edi flight.

Janos · 10/09/2009 18:01

MOuise, I was so angry readin gyou rpost I can barely see straight.

Not at you but your ex. He is bullying, bullying, bullying. You realise he is talking utter, utter shite about his girlfriens conducting an inspection of your DD's nursery, don't you? Really? She is gonna compromise her professional status and potentially lose her job for him?

Yeah, right, sure she is!! I have had MANY dealings with nurseries and my ex and I can confidently say this is UNMITIGATED CRAP (sorry for shouting).

It's not a waste of money to get yourself a solicitor. Do it and do it NOW.

I'm a hell of a lot poorer but it's the best thing I ever did.

Sorry I know this is supposed to be a light hearted thread and I'm shouting a bit and being ranty but I can't bear the way he is treating you cos it's how my ex used to treat me

Janos · 10/09/2009 18:08

You can tell I was angry because my typing goes to poy when I get ranty!

And can I also emphasise mousie my anger is direct AT HIM and NOT YOU!

Sorry about your ear infection juicy hope it clears up soon. They are grotty I know.

lou33 · 10/09/2009 19:16

i kinda like an angry janos

OP posts:
sincitylover · 10/09/2009 19:46

afs are in sync - expecting mine at weekend

my ailment is still persistent insomnia, heartburn and bloat - however I m on day four of no wheat/gluten and the bloat seems to be lessening.

thesouthsbelle · 10/09/2009 20:42

my god we are all in the walls at the minute! and not to mention AF's as well. lol.

Janos - you go girl!

Janos · 10/09/2009 20:56

southsbelle.

I'm in a take no prisoners mood.

But having said that I'd like to take mousie's ex and put him in a stinky smelly dungeon. Anyone else care to shove their ex in my dungeon? And no, that is not a euphemism.

thesouthsbelle · 10/09/2009 21:08

actually mine's not being too bad at the minute - althou we're not really talking so I like it Am hoping he might bother his ass to actally come and see DS next week while he's off work for a week - or at least ring, but doubtful.

Spoke to gymboy quickly for 5 mins. arranged a date for sunday night - shouldn't worry about the lack of contact over the last 2 days or so should I (when coupled with the dating thing?) deffo gonna be having the chat as well.

Remotew · 10/09/2009 22:16

at you lot and AF, weirdly enough I got mine today and that's rare. I'm not yet menopausal, have a coil, so it's normally non existent. Spooky!

Sorry all of you going through this with exes again.

Lou, lol, not a great idea to mention wind on the first date.

Will have to wait until next weekend for my next blind date. Did meet my American friend for a drink tonight with DD and other friends as we went for a cheap curry in his town.

notevenamousie · 11/09/2009 07:19

AF started here on Weds - who thought that cyclical regulating worked over the internet

Had a very strange text latish last night from musicman who I was going to see tonight saying I hadn't been flirty enough and he had decided I wasn't interested in meeting with him - I think he might have been drinking, anyway, I have no time for anyone who wants to mess me about. So down to one date this weekend, with the guy I thought I liked better anyway.

I had a good chat with my aunt last night but she seems to think I should be doing all this travelling and it's me that is being unreasonable. Aargh. Thank you Janos, I will try and find a recommendation for a good family solicitor, just don't want to waste my money.

thesouthsbelle · 11/09/2009 07:36

agreed mousie.
well no AF.

no text from gymboy last night either but it looks like he's been online this am. is it just me who doesn't understand why you only go on a dating site for emails only but not to meet?? althou I guess you could do ho hum not sure there any more at all. going to see what happens today now. a nice long chat would be good.

lou33 · 11/09/2009 11:15

ah but eve it would be a pick up line not a date so i think it's allowed

anyway the people who i suspected would not be happy to hear i had been seeing lb have been told

i told one of them after some wine last night and she told the other

OP posts:
Remotew · 11/09/2009 11:54

Hope the response is positive. No point arguing over men I find.

I've just been up town on work business and nipped into Peacocks, they have some surprisingly nice stuff in our branch. Bought a dress for my date next week and an overshirt for DD, came to £30. It's a long sleeved flowery day/informal dress, quite short but think I can get away with it if I have thick black tights and boots.

Mousie wtf 'you didn't flirt enough' sounds like he was after a quick lay. Agree with binning that one.
