starts here

why would you bin off gymboy before asking about it?

he may well just have been checking mail or hiding a profile or something, talk to him before you dump him

i had a bloody funny time tonight, serious belly laughs , catching up with my friend

it was good fun, and it was up to me to choose where we ate and what we ate, anything i wanted, so of course i took him to a thai place

food was excellent, company was highly entertaining (tho i think we were possibly being a bit loud in the laughter department at time), i didnt pay for anything and i have a pot belly

and now i am home chatting to lb on msn

so all is good

goodo lou.

mousie - totally agree with eve.

as for our date, went well, ended with both of us in hysterics trying to make jokes up, he seems to think has a childish humour but I think it's more sarcastic stupid type. still was a ll a good laugh, apparently he emailed someone who'd emailed him saying she was also with his line of work & he was curious but anyhow, important bit, not gonna be seeing anyone else, just gonna be seeing waht happens with us. didn't ask about hiding/deleting profiles as by the time he arrived we were both tired & tbh it wasn't the time to be having serious chats like that.

told him about the pervy BF thread on here thou which got a laugh lol. so now we're on for either next week or the weekend, depending on when I can get a sitter/have money to go out, as it's rent day next monday. ho hum. thinking about promoting him to new guy but not sure yet.

lou33 · 08/09/2009 09:40

the promotion thing is always a bit tricky isnt it?

i always find it a bit like the curse of hello magazine, as soon as i change the status it all goes pear shaped

rofl @ 'hotel california'
eve you're going nowhere lady you're needed on this thread

ninah · 08/09/2009 12:48

mousie so sorry to hear about your mum. And your vile ex
how's things now? is your mum at home or hosp?
eve don't even think about it! this thread's not just about men anyway, it's the whole lot
for instance biggest thing for me atm is I'm working loads more hours, loving it! earning a bit more money = better than sex (well it is when george at asda seems designer)
want to hear what's going on with you shagarama or not
yes and you asbm you slacker

lou33 · 08/09/2009 13:03

dont knock george, i am off to see him myself in a few minutes!

OP posts:
notevenamousie · 08/09/2009 13:24

Thank you, you are all really good to me. She is at home, and just about independent, she will move in with me when that is no longer possible.
I am still struggling today and dd is ill, home and extremely grouchy.
I'm really trying to look forward to the weekend but actually I just want to curl up in a corner somewhere.

Remotew · 08/09/2009 13:34

OK OK.

I had a look at George the other day, why do I never see anything that I can wear of his?

I'm getting to the stage where there is no way I can look in Topshop or New Look except for DD, even Warehouse stuff is too young for me now but I'm not ready for Wallis yet.

May be going to a school reunion on Saturday night if I can persuade an old school friend to come with me. It's a bit vague, for everyone who attended the school in the 70's, thought it might be worth a look as it's at a pub just down the road.

Sorry about your mum Mousie and to everyone for their akward ex's, glad I don't have anything to do with DD's dad nowadays.

lou33 · 08/09/2009 15:50

i bought this for me

and something each for dd1 and dd2

OP posts:
Remotew · 08/09/2009 16:05

I need to shop online more, our branch doesn't have anything nice in store.

lou33 · 08/09/2009 16:47

i bought it in store eve

though it is a big asda

OP posts:
DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 08/09/2009 17:18

there's a wallmart asda beside me. has a hugge selection. stuff is definately pretty good.

lou33 · 08/09/2009 17:49

i want some spray on tight skinny ripped jeans but i cant find any i like at a price i can afford

OP posts:
Remotew · 08/09/2009 18:01

I'm too fat for skinny jeans that I've tried recently. Had an expensive pair from River Island that I loved but I left them in Manchester at ex bf's flat and never saw them again. Love them with flat pumps.

Yes Lou I knew you'd gone to the store but ours is small and never has the latest stuff that is displayed on the promo photos.

I'm going to travel a bit further on Saturday and go the next bigger town. I'm desperatley in need of some new togs.

Hey since I announced I'm leaving and you all said we could talk about anything, not just fellas we have turned it into style and beauty.

Oh and I might have a blind date on Sunday. Key guy who I thought had dissapeared just said his hub was broken and did I want to meet up. Might as well.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 08/09/2009 18:03

oooh you should say your leaving more often eve - you got a date.lol

where you going? coffee? or something more daring? not sure i can do more daring these days after the gums incident

lou33 · 08/09/2009 18:09

ooh a date well done

on another unrelated but also good news front

i went to my gp for a check up, and i have regained the 10lbs i lost when i was ill earlier in the year, which is really good news

i am now 8st 7lbs

OP posts:
DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 08/09/2009 18:24

rofl - i'd be dead at that weight.

sincitylover · 08/09/2009 18:31

Eve don't go. Age has nothing to do with it.

Mousie - sounds terrible.

Juicy {grin] - sounds sorted with beachbum or am I getting confused

Southbelle - ditto gymboy

Lou - great news - sadly I last weighed that at age 21. I am on a health regime atm I have given up wheat etc cos I felt so rough when I was off.

Not much news here - Samename on hol up north. He hasn't been in touch. Assume he got there in one piece!! Was going to be taking a bike on a very small car.

Re George - looked in our small asda but couldn't see anything - usually find lovely stuff there. By chance was in Next today and saw loads of stuff also seemed as though their prices had come down.

thesouthsbelle · 08/09/2009 18:33

lou at 8 st 7. that's my goal weight - only another 2 stone to get there!

skinny jeans - what are they then? with thighs like mine (that tina turner would be proud of) normal bootleg ones are the preferred choice!

rj - ahem gums incident?? spill it what happened?

woohoo eve, a blind date eh. YAY! good luck. and hey I quite like wallis, and prinncipals - tbh I don't think there's many shops I wouldn't go in to have a look, it's the person who can make it look fuddy duddy etc. althou i've never been a miss selfridge girl myself - far far too skinny in there. gets depressing that all clothes seem to only go up to a 12 - what's that all about?

We also shop in George in this house as well as primari (for undies & ds's nursery clothes) have also developed a love of hennes as well of late as they seem to be quite reasonable with clothes.

mousie - can you sit down later on with a little bar of choc on the sofa and watch some crappy telly? I know it doesn't feel it right now but things will pick up for you.

thesouthsbelle · 08/09/2009 18:34

scl - yep sorted v much so after today, but still not promoting him yet thou, gonna keep him as an exclusive flirting buddy

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 08/09/2009 18:37

scl - will you not hear from samename AT ALL while he is away? does he have his phone? have you contacted him?

i thought i was laid back.... but your almost horizontal.

beachbum is away too. but he's sent me his number for over there and is in contact. tbh i'd have given him the heave again if he'd pissed off and cut all contact completely.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 08/09/2009 18:39

south - met up with guy who looked great in photo. but he had MASSIVE gume.... and tiny teeth.

sincitylover · 08/09/2009 18:58

sounds quite yukky as would enormous teeth and tiny gums

I have sent him one short text. Am quite surprised he hasn't rung/texted, am sure he said he would, but had consumed several glasses of wine over a short period, and hope eveything is OK. If I haven't heard by the end of the week will ring him. If he is Okand just hasn't bothered will probably make comment.

Perhaps I offended him by asking him to think about us while on holiday and telling him I couldn't offer him much. Who knows?

FWIW I used to be very angsty re contact issues and would drive myself into a frenzy if people didn't ring/text but don't seem so
bothered in general.

sincitylover · 08/09/2009 19:02

drunk thewine when I last saw him

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 08/09/2009 19:04

scl - when did you text him?
