evening
remember last week when i thought i had used up the things happen in 3's quota?
i think i may have been too hasty, as this evening when dp was underneath the washing machine trying to get it going again, it caught fire!
quite spectacularly i am told , he had to wrench the pipes out of it and haul it into the garden whist it was still aflame!
lots of smoke too
(sighs)
fortunately i had arranged to take a load or 10 to a launderette a few miles away tomorrow for a service wash, so will have some clean clothes for us all, but i may have to beg friends to use their machines on a rota for the forseeable , as i have to conjure up £500 for the motability car at the beginning of march, and that has to take priority
however, the good news today is ds1 has been given the all clear wrt his stomach problems at the end of last year, and the consultant also let me ask him about ds dislocating his rotator cuff last week and how best to minimise another incident like that at school (ds has ehlers-danlos syndrom which causes hypermobile joints, easy bruising, slow healing plus more, so is more prone to joint issues, especially in those that have already had a trauma)
i have emailed the head of his year asking to check if it is marked down in his records, and to let the sport teachers know that he is not advised to do a lot of high contact sport, especially as he gets older
