Caravan on driveway

I have just returned home to find a caravan parked on my driveway.
I have been away for 5 days visiting my son.
Can someone advise me what I can do to get it removed. I have no idea who it belongs to.

@DaniellaDavis

Just knock on your neighbours doors to see if it belongs to anyone?

At our old place we allowed our neighbours to use our driveway if we were away, and they would do the same also.

Don't always go to the negative!

but its been on her drive for 8 days now, surely someone would have noticed it by now

When we have cars left parked on the private roads of the estate where we live I think there is a process where you can report them, police put a sticker on them and if not claimed in 7 days are towed away. On a driveway you could always get it towed on to the street for a start so it is off your land although that might cost a bit. Also take pictures.
As someone said above there seems to be some kind of specific number you might see on the glass.

@honeybuns007

Can it be pushed? Push it onto the road. Then call the council and tell them there is a caravan on the road
Caravans can definitely be pushed unless it's an enormous double axle job.

Where's the OP? Is the caravan still there?

yoshiblue · 10/08/2021 11:04

Shamelessly placemarked....this thread better not get deleted and I miss the outcome!!!

DH said get it off the drive then call the police as an abandoned vehicle.

ScrambledSmegs · 10/08/2021 11:16

Is it just me that's hoping OP has moved in to the caravan for a little staycation and that's why she's not been back?

Lalliella · 10/08/2021 11:39

Come back OP! Is it still there? Shamelessly placemarking Grin

I would assume it was a gift, and jazz it up with some bunting and fairylights, stick a couple of deckchairs outside, light a barbecue, get some sausages sizzling, and invite all the neighbours for a driveway party. Then hold a raffle (a fiver a ticket) and the winner gets the caravan.

Paint it? This looks quaint and it will be a lovely surprise for the owners.

Update needed! Grin

debwong · 20/08/2021 18:09

@kelpie35 is so rude

Jeannie88 · 02/09/2021 18:01

Has some one left it as a present for you maybe? 😉

didyouseeit · 08/09/2021 10:38

Stick a big sign on it, for sale £1000.

KatherineJaneway · 08/09/2021 22:33

OP is long gone

Anniegetyourgun · 16/09/2021 18:38

She said she has contacted the council and is waiting for them to get back to her. If her council is anything like, well, most councils, there should be an update in a few weeks...
