Our old clomid thread is no longer allowing new comments, and it's taken me 24 hours and multiple failed comments to understand why - we filled it up So thought I'd start a new one...

Ikea is the worst place when I’m feeling down about TTC. Seems to always be full of pregnant people and with moving house recently we’re always there!!

I had a lap 3 years ago, wish I had started trying for a baby then.

Mine and DP anniversary today, but as I’m past ovulation it’ll be an early night in my pjs 😂😂

Could've been an implantation bleed on Sat. Wait two days (if you can) and do another one to see if the line gets darker

Thanks ladies I quietly am hoping it is won’t tell husband or anyone yet until I have tested again maybe until weekend... we have had so much heartache over the infertility journey just want to make sure ... fingers crossed for us all

@Zara84 that looks positive to me! I guess it's possible it's a chemical pregnancy (hopefully not) or implantation bleeding. Do another test on Saturday morning if you can wait that long!!

Yes that is what I worry about may be chemical ( I have had that before!) will test again on Sunday

I agree with everyone else @Zara84 that’s a positive. Any second line counts with a pregnancy test, no matter how faint.

I have my first follicle tracking scan tomorrow and the nerves are kicking in.

Based on the scan last week, things are likely to be ok, but then if I’m gonna ovulate we have to BD. I’ve told DP I feel better about it now, but I’m still secretly dreading “sex season”.

The whole thing is so stressful.

Hi everyone and thank you @Marmite83 for pointing me towards this thread (following a separate post under my old username).

Wondering if anyone has had a similar situation to me.

Have been TTC for 16 months and this is my first cycle of using Clomid. I am currently on CD29.

I believe I ovulated around CD19 (from OPK and BBT tracking). I had a progesterone test done on CD25 and it was 50 suggesting ovulation and another on CD27 which was 35 which I think is still high?

On CD23-25 had some very (very) minor brown spotting. however on CD 26&27 had more prominent spotting - haven’t had to use a panty liner or anything and it’s mainly only when I go to the bathroom. Cd26 was bright red and since has been brown (has continued into Cd28&29 although I think it’s getting less).

I am not sure that this is my period because it’s very different to normal (I usually have quite full flow periods), it was going on when my progesterone level was high and it seems too early to be a period. But I also don’t think it’s implantation bleeding as it’s been going on too many days and the colour/look isn’t consistent with what I’ve read.

I am worried that if it is my period, I need to start taking my next round of clomid and I don’t want to miss out on taking it this cycle. I am expecting to hear from my consultant today but was hoping to see if anyone has any similar experience.

@peanut2213, Every af I’ve had since starting clomid (except the first and last) has been really short and really light. The month before last proper flow lasted 1 day and then I had about 2-3 days of spotting.

Also I’ve been ovulating around CD9-12 since clomid when before it was always CD15/16.

I would say if you’ve had proper red flow at all and you’ve had a bfn, it’s probably your period and to start the clomid.

I rang the clinic for the same thing the past few months.

Hi @Peanut2213 I think it sounds like a period as it’s lasted a few days. I would phone your doc if you’re worried and also take a preg test. Good luck

Sorry you're having a hard time @seven201. I'm also finding ttc brutal - particularly the rollercoaster of emotions. After 4 days of spotting I'm finally on CD1 of cycle 3. Kind of relieved as after the BFN at 14dpo I was unsure when to start the next round of clomid, glad I waited until full flow but obviously gutted. I get my hopes up every single time even though we've never had a second line in 20 months and it's devastating every time.

Got an NHS consultation on Tuesday for our next 3 month prescription and think we will book a private consultation soon too to get an idea on timescales and how much we need to save for IVF as that's starting to look like a real possibility and we've not got my patience left. Sorry for the rant but I do feel better for writing it down!!

Hi all. Just started first round of clomid (have taken 2 tablets so far)..... I have really bad cramps, like painful! I would get quite sore cramps anyway but these are much worse and more frequent. No headaches though and not feeling sick.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Scan went well! I have one 18mm follicle (on cycle day 7 😮) which I’m not shocked at given my short cycles the past few months.

Nurse said I’m likely to ovulate between Saturday and Monday. Time to start opks.

@HmBuddy, my first cycle on Clomid I had some quite bad cramps (not excruciating but pretty uncomfortable) but haven't had them since.

Congrats @doomkittycleo. Sorry AF has officially arrived @bookworm18 and yep @HmBuddy I had bad cramps at the start on clomid too. I'm currently 14 dpo (cd 31) and going absolutely mad until I can test with FMU on Sunday!!

Thanks guys, the nurse did say she’d suggest abstaining until the opk goes positive to make sure DP doesn’t have too many baby sperm, but he’s keen to do it tonight (he tried to initiate last night, but I told him to wait till after my scan).

We have the offer of a babysitter tonight so he said we’ll have a date night, so I guess there’s no getting out of it.

I’m just sick of BDing, I really wish I didn’t have to.
