Our old clomid thread is no longer allowing new comments, and it's taken me 24 hours and multiple failed comments to understand why - we filled it up So thought I'd start a new one...

@Zara84 😣 Gutted for you. Doesn’t it just feel like we’re doing everything right, how can it not work!

@squirrelnutkins1 it may well be the weather! We’re doing 3 too. Hoping we won’t need anymore 😄 trying to stay positive.

squirrelnutkins1 · 30/06/2019 19:16

@Jemstar33 yep, def trying to keep positive! We'll get there 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Marmite83 · 30/06/2019 19:32

So sorry for your loss @Constance1234. I had a similar experience with my first pregnancy, nice strong heartbeat and then no heartbeat. It's heartbreaking. Hope af shows up soon for you so you can start a fresh cycle.

Dinosauraddict · 30/06/2019 20:34

Sorry @Zara84, it sucks.

@Marmite83 Thank you and I’m so sorry you had to go a mmc too - how are you feeling about it now? I hope you have recovered x

bookworm18 · 01/07/2019 07:32

Sorry I've been quiet recently. We've been on holiday and tried to take everyone's advice to "just relax". I'm 11dpo and it feels like the longest tww. I'm due to start spotting any day now so just really hoping it doesn't arrive! Anyone else in the tww?

Sorry AF arrived @doomkittycleo and @Zara84 and so sorry for your losses @squirrelnutkins1 and @Constance1234. Good luck with your results Constance and welcome to the thread!

Marmite83 · 01/07/2019 07:34

@Constance1234 mine was four years ago now. I recovered physically quite quickly. Emotionally took longer. It's so hard when you've tried for so long and then you finally get pregnant, to then have it taken away from you. Time definitely does help the pain to fade but I still think about that baby and I think I always will. Be kind to yourself x

Dinosauraddict · 01/07/2019 09:23

@bookworm18 I'm 9 dpo so in a very similar boat and expecting AF this week. Hate this TWW!!

Hi all, I’ve started my clomid tablets again today so am now on round 5, (second round of 100mg).

At least I know this cycle will be monitored, so will have to call the clinic over the next couple of days to book first scan.

As they said my uterine lining must have been ok this month as af is back to her usual medium/heavy self this time (past x2 months it’s been super light and short).

I feeling a lot better since Saturday, so it must’ve been hormones making me more sensitive to any comments re BDing more.

How is everyone else feeling?

Zara84 · 01/07/2019 13:05

Okay so oddly my bleeding completely stopped after a day...anyone else had this after Clomid ? Still have awful cramps so Think it will come back but never had this before ...

bookworm18 · 01/07/2019 14:21

Fingers crossed for you @Dinosauraddict ! I think I've got the beginning of spotting unfortunately Sad never gets any easier!

Mine was like that last month @Zara84 stopped for a day then came back with a vengeance when I thought it was over.

Dinosauraddict · 01/07/2019 15:25

I have absolutely no idea what that could mean @Zara84. I hope you're wrong re spotting @bookworm18. I don't normally symptom spot but today I was incredibly dizzy earlier, it's probably a combination of heat, not enough food/water and work stress but I actually googled if dizziness could be an early pregnancy sign. FML.

Hi bookworm did you have a full flow that then stopped ? I had some bleeding bright red when I wiped but nothing on my actual pad ... but too late for implantation and cramping is real
Bad so I know it’s af.... just confused

Jemstar33 · 01/07/2019 17:52

@bookworm18 hoping the break did you good. Sorry to hear you’re spotting 😖

@Dinosauraddict fingers crossed for you too. It’s hard because literally every single thing is an early pregnancy symptom I find!

@doomkittycleo glad you’re feeling more positive now, what CD have you been told to have scans around?

@Zara84 I’m still on my first cycle so not something I’ve experienced but my AF is usually very light, very unpredictable on timing and only a couple of days which is why I’m taking the clomid. Keep us updated.

I’ve had very sore breasts the last couple of days and twinges. Hoping this is my ovulation taking place (CD 14). Still BD’ing every other day.

Staying positive 🙂

doomkittycleo · 01/07/2019 19:19

@Jemstar33, they said they usually do the first scan on CD10 or 11, but because my cycles are shorter (or have been the past couple of months), they might start around day 7-9. Thing is day 7 is on Saturday, so gonna have to ask them over the phone whether to go on day 6 or day 9.

Fertility friend had me down as ovulating on CD9 last cycle.

squirrelnutkins1 · 01/07/2019 19:27

I phoned up to book my scan in today and I've got to go on CD11. No real side effects from two days of Letrazole, a little headachy but nothing too bad.
I'd check if the clinc is open weekends. I waited until today to phone thinking they would just be mon to fri but they're open weekends too.

@bookworm18 thank you x

doomkittycleo · 01/07/2019 20:55

@squirrelnutkins1, my clinic did say they don’t do weekends, so to book in on either the Friday or Monday depending on where I am in my cycle.

This af is so much heavier than the last 2, hopefully that’s a good sign. I just hope it doesn’t last too long, if I do end up going on Friday I’d like to avoid having the scan when I’m still bleeding if at all possible.

squirrelnutkins1 · 01/07/2019 21:14

@doomkittycleo I've had an internal scan before when I was on a heavy period. It was pretty grim but she said they get a really good view when you're on as your lining is obv thin. Hope it's not too yuk for you. I guess we've got to expect all these unpleasant things to come lol! Xx

seven201 · 01/07/2019 21:46

I'm glad I've found the new thread. I took a bit of a break from the old one as ttc got a bit too all consuming for me. I'm on cd5 and on first cycle of tamoxifen after discovered my last cycle clomid was thinning my lining a lot. Paying for a tracking scan next week. I'm not looking forward to 'sex season' (no idea why we started calling it that in my house - boak) starting soon!

I'm sorry to read everyone's news though. Maybe this will be a bumper month of bfp's to make up for the lack of them recently!

doomkittycleo · 01/07/2019 22:10

@squirrelnutkins1 yeah, whatever we go through now isn’t any worse than childbirth, but still pretty yuk.

@seven201 I know exactly what you mean about not looking forward to “sex season”. I really do feel like I’m faking it for DP’s sake as I’m really not up for it, but don’t want to kill the mood for him. He had some performance issues quite a bit when we were TTC DD1, so I’m a bit scared of doing anything to put him off.

seven201 · 01/07/2019 22:19

@doomkittycleo hopefully your period will be light or will have stopped by the time you have your scan. My consultant works in a different hospital every day, so I kind of have to chase him round the south east for my tracking scans to find an appointment that works Hmm. Hopefully my one next week will be fine and it will be my last one.

I'm a crap ttc wife and sometimes leave my pyjama top and socks on! Occasionally my dh has struggled to perform under the pressure and my lack of enthusiasm. It's just crap isn't it! 'Sex season' also always somehow coincides with my dd going through a waking up lots in the night phase, even though she's 3!

doomkittycleo · 01/07/2019 22:54

@seven201 lmao 😂🙈 at the PJ top and socks. I don’t think DP would put up with that haha.

It’s the nurse that’ll be doing my scans at the private clinic, not the consultant. So hopefully that’ll make it easier.

Jemstar33 · 02/07/2019 07:34

Morning ladies

I’ve just got my first ever positive opk 😃 feel like I’ve just found out I’m pregnant lol. Huge smile on my face!

Probably shouldn’t get too excited but it looks like clomid is working for me.

How did everyone get on with opks through their cycles?

Jemstar33 · 02/07/2019 07:35

I’m CD 15, been bd’ing every other day since CD 8

Marmite83 · 02/07/2019 08:35

That's great news @Jemstar33!

I've been known to wear pj top and socks too @seven201
