Our old clomid thread is no longer allowing new comments, and it's taken me 24 hours and multiple failed comments to understand why - we filled it up So thought I'd start a new one...

@Jemstar33 I'll be right behind you with the questions.

This feels so unknown- my doc was very matter of fact, take on these days, start OV tests, DTD, 21 day bloods and call me if you get pregnant. Well that'd be nice if it works that easily.

OH and I both seem a lot more relaxed about it all this month. Don't know if that's a case of we are expecting it not to work or just taking a step back.

bookworm18 · 04/07/2019 08:14

I hope you're feeling a bit better today @Zara84 it's so confusing isn't it? Have you taken a test or called your consultant? I'm in a similar situation. 14dpo, day 4 of spotting and BFN. Just waiting to start the next round but AF is now late and the spotting can't have been it surely? I'll call tomorrow if AF hasn't arrived by then.

That's willpower. I'm not sure I could wait until 16dpo @Dinosauraddict - good luck! Work is usually a good distraction but I couldn't concentrate at all yesterday!

Jemstar33 · 04/07/2019 08:24

@lori2019 we both seem more relaxed too. I think it’s because we feel there’s hope now I’m taking clomid and we’re being taken seriously by the docs. I just hope it works 🤞🏽

Maybe this is the ‘just relax’ that everyone seems to be telling us 😄

Kelly199 · 04/07/2019 08:40

Hi everyone, just wondering if I could join this group please? Been hovering for a while and pop back and forth, but would like to be involved if it's ok?
Ttc #1 for year and half
4th round of clomid CD10
Hope you don't mind 😊

squirrelnutkins1 · 04/07/2019 09:41

@doomkittycleo I like the meaning behind the name 😊

Wow that really was very matter of fact from your doc! I've not had much instruction either. Just been told to take Letrazole day 2-6 then scan next week, that's it. Hopefully they will tell me more next week @lori2019

@Jemstar33 we're a bit the same, feels like a step forward by taking the medication. Here's hoping 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

@Kelly199 Welcome... heehee I know you already 😉 xx

Kelly199 · 04/07/2019 09:56

@squirrelnutkins1 🤣 thank you, yes! 😘😘 hope you're feeling ok today xxx

And @bookworm18 I'm not sure I can hold off until 16dpo either. Sad

@squirrelnutkins1 good 💗 I'm ok thank you. What CD are you now? Xx

@Dinosauraddict Thank you! Good luck with your testing! 🤞🏼 xx

Marmite83 · 04/07/2019 11:21

Welcome @@Kelly199

6dpo here so just over a week before I test. Feeling like I'm in a limbo at the moment and struggling to concentrate at work.

Hope af stays away for you @Dinosauraddict, think I definitely would've given in and tested by now, well done for resisting!

Really hoping for some bfps on here soon!

Kelly199 · 04/07/2019 11:37

@Marmite83 thank you.
It is so horrible isn't it, waiting?! Wish we could just know the outcome straight away so we didn't have to spend two weeks waiting and wondering!
Sending you positive thoughts and fingers crossed for you this month 🤞🏼

Pinktruffle · 04/07/2019 11:49

I'm on CD12, got my scan on Tuesday so fingercrossed we have an egg to be fertilised. Things have been calmer at work so I'm hoping my stress levels are nice and low. We have sports day tomorrow so hoping that will be a nice fun day too.

We break up from school in 2 weeks and it was during the 6 weeks holiday that I conceived last time, I'm trying not to pin all my hopes on that but feel a bit like I am. Any disappointment is likely to crush me, I was pretty devastated last period so I need to figure out how to manage this

squirrelnutkins1 · 04/07/2019 14:03

@Pinktruffle ooh we have our scans on the same day. Come on little eggs! 🥚I think the disappointment gets harder every month. It's hard to know how to handle it. Sometimes I say let's go out and do more things but then I just feel wherever we go we're surrounded by kids/families and then I come home feeling worse 🙈 catch 22!

@Kelly199 cd6 today!

Sorry if this has already been done but what symptoms, if any, have you all had on Clomide/Letrazole?

I've been headachy, not horrendous but just a bit, I've been absolutely exhausted and one night I woke up with really bad pain in my rib under my left boob. Googled it and it's quite common!

Kelly199 · 04/07/2019 14:09

@squirrelnutkins1 @Pinktruffle good luck for your scans!!

@squirrelnutkins1 I've had hot flushes, headaches here and there and have had some nausea last couple of days!
Hope they will settle for you!

squirrelnutkins1 · 04/07/2019 14:12

Thank you!

I feel a bit bloated as well actually. So do your symptoms continue for a few days after your last tablet? @Kelly199 xx

Marmite83 · 04/07/2019 14:27

@squirrelnutkins1 I generally get headaches and bloating for the first couple of days. Pretty bad diarrhoea too (thought it was a coincidence but I've had it all four cycles). Sometimes a little nausea too and just generally feeling quite lethargic. I've heard the effects can effect the whole cycle but for me it's mainly the first couple of days of taking it.

Kelly199 · 04/07/2019 15:21

@squirrelnutkins1 I get bloating too! Horrible. Start thinking I need to go on a diet then some days it goes down lol.
Yeah I get them off and on really for the full cycle. They're worse this month than the past 3 months, but still not bad.
I'm having a lot of bubbling type feeling down my ovary area this month too. Don't know what that's all about?! Lol xx

liveinhope100 · 04/07/2019 15:36

Hi ladies, may I join? I would love to keep in touch with others who are going through similar journey to me.

This is my first month on Clomid. I have been ttc for 18 months. I got pregnant about 3 months ago (self medicated on soy isoflavones) but sadly had a miscarriage. Finally got diagnosed with PCOS and so I am on Clomid, Metaformin and baby aspirin (incase I get pregnant).

Went for a scan yesterday and I had two large follicles (I think one was 19 and the other was 25?!). So it looks like the fertility treatment is working. I had to then do a trigger shot so I had to inject myself in the stomach which was so scary. Am hoping I ovulated yesterday but I have noticed today my stomach feels really uncomfortable. I'm not in pain it just feels slightly bloated and just uncomfy, has anyone else experienced this when taking Clomid?

Also, I couldn't believe how much Clomid affected my mood! I was all over the place, hopefully i'm not the only one?!

squirrelnutkins1 · 04/07/2019 16:23

@Kelly199 @Marmite83 I've not found the side effects too bad so I'm pleased about that. Will have to see how I get on next month, see if they are the same or just coincidental. Sorry you get the trots with it, not nice for you.
Ooh bubbly ovaries! Wonder what that's all about? X

@liveinhope100 sorry for your loss ☹️
Glad your scan went well and looks to be working. Can I ask about the trigger shot? Ive had no mention of that. Sorry about your moods. I've not noticed that for me but things affect each of us differently. X

liveinhope100 · 04/07/2019 16:44

@squirrelnutkins1 Thank you. Of course, to be honest i'm not too sure why I was given the trigger shot but apparently it will trigger ovulation within 36 hours so I think my gynae gave it to me just to definitely ensure I ovulate this month.

I don't think its necessary though as I think Clomid is all that is needed in most cases!

Is this your first month using Clomid?

squirrelnutkins1 · 04/07/2019 17:47

@liveinhope100 seems your gynae is very thorough then! Yes first month trying it. I'm finding the tiredness overwhelming the last 3 days. Hope it goes away soon! X

Jemstar33 · 04/07/2019 19:07

I’m glad the hormone side effects missed me! I had a few days of headaches one night of hot flushes but that was it thankfully.

I’m cd 17 now, 2 dpo. On first cycle of clomid. Feeling very bloated since beginning of ovulation and hasn’t really passed. Sore breasts and I feel like my
areola’s have gotten bigger! Assuming it’s all the hormones.

seven201 · 04/07/2019 19:28

Welcome to the new people.

Symptoms wise clomid was headaches, grumpy, tired for a couple of days and thinning my womb lining a lot, which therefore can't support conception (didn't know about that until second cycle).

I'm on my first cycle of tamoxifen and the tiredness has been absolutely brutal. I'm a grumpy cow and have had a few days of a constant minor headache. I don't know how it's going in there but I have a scan (paid for) next week to find out!

I'm finding ttc quite brutal these days. It's all consuming and constant. Nothing seems to be straightforward, from appointments being cancelled to medication causing new problems and a grumpy bitch wife/mum/employee. I'm still waiting for my appointment to be put on the waiting list for a laparoscopy to hopefully unblock my Fallopian tube. If I'd know it was going to take this long (been 1.5 yrs now) I think we'd have started ivf by now. Sorry, I wasn't intending to write a rant, but accidentally have as I've just got home from a 3 year olds birthday party that had lots of baby siblings at it!

Zara84 · 04/07/2019 19:58

Hi ladies so I stupidly took a pregnancy test even though I had that very short bleed on Saturday..I don’t know if that was a period or if I am late a day now... anyways a really stupid question - On a pregnancy test if you get a very very very faint second line does that mean you have a chance or is that just the standard for a negative test
