Our old clomid thread is no longer allowing new comments, and it's taken me 24 hours and multiple failed comments to understand why - we filled it up So thought I'd start a new one...

I had my IVF treatment consultation yesterday and we were given the go ahead to start next cycle! They've given me progesterone pessaries to help time my AF. It will delay AF for about a week but they've told me to do a hpt on day 28. If the Clomid has thinned my lining, the progesterone should help so it's nice to at least be giving the Clomid the best chance this cycle. Would be lovely if it worked and we didn't have to do IVF at all but I'm not feeling very hopeful that it will work currently.

@Marmite83 yay that you don't have to wait long for the ivf to get started. Fingers crossed you don't need it though!

I have been an absolute bitch today. I'm on cd6 and it's my first cycle on tamoxifen. I just couldn't sleep last night and was just so hot and grumpy with it. I've been very very snappy at work today. I'm going to bite my dh's head off for no reason later, I've warned him though!

I started Provera yesterday, in preparation for Clomid in the next few weeks and I'm very excited but also really anxious at the same time :(

Could I join you please? Just finished taking my first round of clomid, on CD 8. Feeling a lot better today, CD6 I had such a temper, so grumpy, couldn't control body temp and just wanted to be alone.

We're not having a scans, gynae says she doesn't monitor other than 21day bloods. I see her again after 3 cycles.

I'm absolutely going out of my mind on this TWW. I am currently on cd29 but my OTD is not until Sunday (aaarrrggghhhh). I should start spotting Fri/Sat though. Currently resisting temptation to POAS!

@Jemstar33 I'm not eligible for IVF on the NHS so I think because we're paying privately there isn't any delay unless by choice or for medical reasons. Thanks @seven201 and @squirrelnutkins1, feeling quite nervous about it all now. The progesterone they've given me is making me feel quite tender and really tired so who knows what all the injections will do!

@lori2019 hi, I’m similar to you as in first cycle and not being monitored. Yesterday I got very strong lines on opks and this morning was the same. Just taken another and the 2nd line seems to be lighter so I think my surge is over. I’m cd 17 now. Good luck and same to you @gwen7896

Sorry for the late reply @Zara84. No it was 2 days light spotting, 1 day heavy spotting so I started the next cycle of clomid thinking that was it but then it stopped for a day and AF fully started the day after and was a lot heavier than usual. Was a weird cycle. How are you getting on?

With you trying to resist POAS @Dinosauraddict - fingers crossed for you! I'm 13dpo and day 3 of barely there spotting and just want AF to get started if it's coming so I can move on to the next cycle!

Hi all, I’m now on CD5 and have my first ever follicle tracking scan on Friday, I’ll be CD7, but given that fertility friend had me down as ovulating on CD9 last month I’d rather be early that late.

Af has almost gone and the thrush I had has now been treated too, so hopefully we’ll be able to start BDing this weekend. I just hope we’re both up for it (me especially).

Yay @doomkittycleo I'm so glad you're finally getting a scan. I suffer from recurrent thrush - you have my sympathy!

@seven201, yeah, shame I had to go private to get the scan. At least I’ll have a better idea of what’s going on in there.

Also my NHS dr has agreed to send me a blood form for the AMH test (after my whining and possibly a letter from my private Dr). So I’ll be able to get that done as soon as the form arrives.

I don’t often get thrush, but this is the second bout in a few months. Probably linked to having antibiotics for that throat infection a couple of months ago.

I’m fed up of being ill, hopefully that’s the last of it for a while.

Got a lot of appointments atm cus as well as fertility stuff and my orthodontic treatment, my DD is being assessed for poor growth and a heart murmur, so it just seems like it’s never ending.

I am okay a bit down about it all but keeping myself busy with work...I have emailed my consultant regarding cycle 2 and potentially changing my dosage from 50mg to 100mg... but awaiting a response.
Even more frustratingly I had the bleeding I mentioned on Saturday which was a bright red spotting but not enough to fill a pad...it’s been 4 days since then and no bleeding nothing but the period cramps are still there I keep rushing to the bathroom to check if I’ve started my period but not yet... or maybe that spotting when I wiped was it I don’t know !

@bookworm18 I'm about a day behind you (12dpo) but my OTD isn't until 16dpo which feels really mean right now. Work is so busy so I'm throwing myself into that. Worked a good 12 hours today but was definitely in a grump with my manager.

@doomkittycleo sorry to hear about everything with your DD. It doesn't rain but it pours.

@Dinosauraddict thanks hun. I’m hoping that a bfp and a good prognosis for DD is on the way very soon, but all the waiting is sooooo hard.

I guess when we wait for things we appreciate them more when we get there.

I have said this before on this group, but DD is called Evelyn because it means “longed for child”, which she certainly was. (My precious first clomid baby).

Let’s hope we’re all having to pick baby names in the near future eh?

@doomkittycleo Evelyn is a beautiful name, and I didn't know that was what it meant. Lovely choice. Definitely hope we get some more bfps soon in this group!
