article here

Ours would be baby Ka - a little harsh sounding I think but it does have multiple pronunciation options Kah Kay Kaaaaah Kay-ay

or baby Vectra which actually has a nice ring to it...........

my eldest daughter would be Datsun Sunny, the second would be Opel Kadet With Mismatched Bonnet and the youngest would be a Ford Escort - I could live with Sunny and Kadet but would have to name the last one after her Dad's car which was a 7 Series BMW and looked like a long green turd.

MayorNaze · 20/11/2009 09:18

current car - citroen or xsara or picasso

old car - fiesta aviva

think i could prob pull all of those off tbh!

Peachy · 20/11/2009 09:20

When i said rover 200, DH reminded me I was wrong

What I actually meant was 'Back of roadside rescue vegicle with almost brand new rover attached'

Only time that car ever broke down LOL (Actually I was already in hospital but that'sthe vehicle that transferred DH to the unit when I was in labour)

thelollipoplady · 20/11/2009 09:27

Cherokee and Zafira!

Pretty good really... why didn't I think of that before?!

totalmisfit · 20/11/2009 09:59

this isn't funny, dd is Megan, and i'm really worried she'll get called Renault when she goes to secondary school (by which time Renault Meganes will be like ubiquitous clapped out Ford Escorts)

quidnunc · 20/11/2009 10:02

DS could have been Morgan, DD Elise, which would have worked rather well methinks. Og, and either of them could have been 'Audi'.

LadyOfTheFlowers · 20/11/2009 10:02

DS1 and 2 would be called V40 and DS3 and DC4 '850'.

Don't think anyone could pull either of those off to be honest!

Pluto · 20/11/2009 10:04

DS1 Volvo
DS2 Mondeo

I taught a girl called Astra - she was as lovely as her name!

SausageRocket · 20/11/2009 10:09

DD would have been 'Golf', doesn't really work....

Lancelottie · 20/11/2009 10:12

Sons: Ford (OK I s'pose) and Pushbike. Hmm. Maybe not.

Daughter: Opel Zafira.
I like it!

SausageRocket · 20/11/2009 10:13

no idea what car DH had when DS1 & DS2 were born 18 & 16 yrs ago

ShowOfHands · 20/11/2009 10:15

I don't think calling dd a bike would have been very nice would it now? Only other alternative is the number 17 from Horsewater to the city.

gorionine · 20/11/2009 10:27

I would be an Opel Kadett

DD1 would be a Ford Fiesta

I do not remember the make of the car we had for the boys but DD4 was "on her way" while I was walking the others back from school, she might have been a Addidas if she had been born there but thankfully I made it all he way home and Dh came on time with his car and she would have been a Lucida (Toyota). I actually think it would make a great name!

slim22 · 20/11/2009 10:27

mercedes for my DD. Not bad really!

But would object to being called mama benz myself

LilRedWG · 20/11/2009 10:35

DD would have been Alfa 147 or Corsa, depending on which car we were in.

We did have a lovely cat who we named after a car. We picked her up from the CPL and were trying to decide what to call her as we walked back to the car. She was named Megan after DH's Renault Megane.

TigerFeet · 20/11/2009 10:42

dd1 ford focus or the very catchy sounding peugeot 106

dd2 honda civic or seat leon... leon would have been fine for a ds i suppose

mellifluouscauliflower · 20/11/2009 10:54

Lotus (Lots Of Trouble.. Usually Serious..) Also reflects cost of upkeep.

TigerFeet · 20/11/2009 11:01

anyone got a Ford Prefect

[don't panic]

Tryingtobeorganisedthisyear · 20/11/2009 11:17

Baby 'Lexus'

Love Bentley for a boy!! Sounds like a name someone would have ....or at least a dog

MadreInglese · 20/11/2009 11:30

totalmisfit don't worry, I have a DD with that name too and no-one has ever made reference to a renault - the name is MEGan while the car is meGANNN anyway so different enough

daisy99divine · 20/11/2009 13:24

pranma · 20/11/2009 14:06

ds would be Renault 6
dd Allegro [isnt Allegra a name anyway?]

Pinner35 · 20/11/2009 14:09

DD would be Clio........although I do know a Corolla and a Mercedes.

ilovepiccolina · 20/11/2009 14:10

I'd have been Cortina.

Some of these are actually quite good names!

memorylapse · 20/11/2009 14:11

DS2 would have been Mondeo..
DD2 would have been Focus..

DC5 could potentially be Berlingo or Polo
