Ours would be baby Ka - a little harsh sounding I think but it does have multiple pronunciation options Kah Kay Kaaaaah Kay-ay

or baby Vectra which actually has a nice ring to it...........

DS1 was 5 minutes away from being called Primera, which would have been nice for a boy I think.
Since DS2 was actually born in an ambulance I will have to find out what make it was and change his name forthwith. If he'd been born in our new car (thank God we called the ambulance) he'd be Grandis, which is almost ok except he's a bit titchy.

CountessDracula · 19/11/2009 16:57

Subaru
I quite like it actually!

(had a friend whose dd was born in the front seat of their BMW)

Hulababy · 19/11/2009 16:57

DD would have been Audi or A4; not very catchy really.

Any new baby wouldn't fair much better TBH: VW, Volkswagon. Golf, Fiat, or 500.

DD calls my little car Bubbles - maybe we could go with that.

LazyJourno · 19/11/2009 16:57

Bus.

MadreInglese · 19/11/2009 16:58

Note, is that pronounced No-tay?

purpleflower · 19/11/2009 16:58

DS would be Orion.

DD was a homebirth so we never had the option of her being born in a car but we owned a vectra and a megane at the time

Actually I don't think Orion for a boy and Megane for a girl are that bad

NorbertDentressangle · 19/11/2009 16:59

Mine would both be called Golf, although different Golfs so maybe I could distinguish them by calling them Silver Golf and White Golf?

Ladyem · 19/11/2009 17:00

Lol! No-tay! Much better! Try shouting that down Asda!

NorbertDentressangle · 19/11/2009 17:01

Maybe I sould have another as they would be called Picasso -it has quite a nice ring to it actually, don't you think?

This reminds me of a story from take a break or some such that a friend and I read a long time ago when on a school trip.

Was a girl who had her baby on the back seat of a coach on the way back from a school trip . She was travelling with Cherry coaches and had a girl....

Must be said that as a teacher taking lots of trips I have always been vaguely worried by that story!

MmeLindt · 19/11/2009 17:05

DD would have been Käfer or Beetle as we had a 1967 VW when she was born.

DS would have been Beemer or 3Series.

nct73 · 19/11/2009 17:05

Used to work with a girl called Opel. Dad was going for the stone as sister was called Ruby but spelt it wrong and ended up like the car.

MmeLindt · 19/11/2009 17:06

Although, on consideration, I doubt it would be physically possible to give birth in a Beetle.

MmeLindt · 19/11/2009 17:07

Was impressed by Purple there.

MadreInglese · 19/11/2009 17:10

lol MmeLindt, ditto with a Ford Ka

my sister was born in an Astra, on Bunhouse Road, so dad wanted her middle name to be bunhouse (needless to say, he didn't get his way )

Ours would have been Astra design, or C3 if I'd been in my dad's car.

any robin reliants out there?!

CatIsSleepy · 19/11/2009 17:12

dd1 would be Polo
dd2 would be Focus-more of an instruction than a name I feel...

TennisFan · 19/11/2009 17:13

I know a Portia but she is spelling it like that rather than the car.
I would have had a Cerbera - after our wonderful TVR

SixtyFootDoll · 19/11/2009 17:15

DS2 would be Beemer, was nearly born on the front seat!
DS1 would have been Fiesta!!

thumbwitch · 19/11/2009 17:20

DS would have been Rover. Or we could have used Fiesta if he'd been a she.

SimpleAsABC · 19/11/2009 17:24

Bravo, bravo! Lol, cue high self esteem i suppose!

Stayingsunnygirl · 19/11/2009 17:27

I'd have three boys named Sierra, Granada and Volvo. I'm not sure they'd thank me for that!!

merlin · 19/11/2009 17:27

Bike

Tidey · 19/11/2009 17:30

There was a little girl called Astra at DS's playground. I never asked her mum if she was conceived or born in one though, thought it would've been a bit rude. DS would have been Bluebird and DD Corsa.
