Absolutely shocking attack at the Heaton Park Synagogue in Crumpsall North Manchester. My heart goes out to all those hurt and affected by this terrible atrocity.

Dont be ridiculous. The guy might have had hidden body explosives strapped to him. Presumably he knew what the consequences of attacking innocent people might be. Horrible and vile individual. In some other countries his injured body would probably have been hauled onto the back of truck paraded round the streets. Should count himself lucky he's in a civilised country.

How rude, what are you on about? Reading comprehension?

I am talking about the Jewish victim that was severely injured either through stabbed or collision at the hands of the terrorist. The disturbing video shows the bystanders who were shouting and having the time of their life filming, swearing and cheering police to shoot the terrorist rather than helping the man bleeding to death in the middle of the road. I don't care about the perpetrator he is gone and good riddance. It's not helpful for members of the public to get involved in the police operation unless they are trying to help victims with first aid or just being there to comfort them in their last moment.

It's the sheer shameless lack of humanity to be hanging around and gaping while a fellow human being desperately needs help. Disgusting behaviour.

Not just disgusting idiotic too as they were so close to the scene and were instructed to leave due to a suspected bomb.

The poster was not referencing an innocent victim. They were referencing the attacker.... Hope security on all synagogues today is stepped up.

No they weren't. Read the full quote history.

And the footage of the man bleeding to death on the pavement and people just shouting, filming and no one even trying to give first aid or comfort the man on the road, just lingering and staring and even egging the security guys on to shoot the terrorist. Imbecile chavs. It takes a lot to shock me these days but I am pehenomanly disgusted with the bystanders. WHY did they not try and look after the guy on the pavement.

Sarah2891 · 02/10/2025 12:28

Awful. It upset me to see people just walking by the injured man on the ground.

Thats for another day and another thread. We know very little about what's happened and who's responsible atm other than some innocent people have been injured. So your comments are inappropriate at best.

It’s totally horrendous, but unfortunately not unexpected. The way Israelis and Jewish people in general have been vilified, especially recently, has almost made something like this inevitable.

im so sorry that Britain has come to this

Absolutely this, I cant believe this stuff is infiltrating our shores and affecting our community harmony

Disgraceful

Efacsen · 02/10/2025 12:28

Two people have been confirmed dead and 3 seriously injured

Attacker also dead

Yes, people would have been in shock, and terrified. He could easily have been a suicide bomber.

???? They were not in shock. have you seen the video?

I knew it wouldn’t take five fucking minutes for someone to blame Israel.

antisemitism has been allowed by our very own prime minster, those awful marches in London where the “free palestine” “queers for palestine” crowd don’t even bother to disguise their hate of Jews. There will be more attacks in future because, as David Baddiel said, Jews don’t count.

Agree and when we challenge it we're told we're weaponising it and it's all in our imagination

Apologies. I read it entirely different as you said in the same sentence that people were shouting demanding the police shoot the perpetrator who had also been shot by the police lying on the ground.

But i've seen it on here numerous times, for some reason only Jewish people are to blame for the actions of their government. I've always argued that's not right when you look at what our government has done in the past.

nomas · 02/10/2025 12:33

Very sorry to hear this, and especially to anyone who knows the victims.

AzurePanda · 02/10/2025 12:33

My heart goes out to Jewish people in Britain today, just 5 days away from the 2 year anniversary of October 7 too.

No, I haven't - sorry I thought you were referring to an image of shocked bystanders. This is obviously a different one, thanks

Hagr1d · 02/10/2025 12:36

Absolutely horrific and appalling.

Jewish people should have a right to worship in peace.

Disgusted that someone would attack people in a synagogue especially on their holy day whilst they're praying and fasting. This id so sad.

Livelovebehappy · 02/10/2025 12:19

I am guessing you didn't see the video of the poor Jewish victim left to bleed to death in front of bystanders who had nothing better to do than film, be in the way of police operations, swear and egg the security guys on. No one helped that man who was dying💔It's pure sheer lack of basic humanity. Don't get me wrong the terrorist is an evil beast but these bystanders are fucking imbeciles.

Followthattaxi · 02/10/2025 12:36

I'm Jewish. There's always tight security at our synagogue (In London) and often police too on high holy days. We received an email detailing extra security this year and made a conscious decision not to attend the services this year.

I was approached by someone demanding my opinion on Gaza when I came out of a kosher butcher a few weeks ago.

It's frightening to be Jewish in the UK at the moment and I can't believe 2 people have been murdered simply for attending a religious service.

Quite. We absolutely mustn’t blame Muslims for the actions of Islamic countries’ regimes (rightly so) but Jews - well, that’s different. They ‘don’t agree with it, but Palestine…’

Zov · 02/10/2025 12:36

I'm so sorry. 😢 My heart goes out to everyone affected by this. Flowers

I think the deleted comments (I didn’t see them) should be left to stand despite obv being offensive so people can see the truth of antisemitism. Like the FWR board prefer insults to stay so people can see the realities

Unfortunately racism in the UK is out of control .Very scary

Agree with this. If we could get rid of racism and misogyny I think there would be very few murders.

We ALL need to dial down the shouting/pointing/blaming and that includes the uk media and politicians.

WateringCans · 02/10/2025 12:37

I will not watch the video, but I’m so saddened that the bystanders didn’t step in to help. Awful.

there is no place for anti semitism. And yes I do agree with pps that attackers have been emboldened by the (lack of) response to threats to the British Jewish community. And social media seems to fuel the worst in people.

how did they just stand there and not help ? Unbelievable.

agree

I also agree with this.

Jewish schools kids have to hide their religion/school else they are bullied/beaten up. Gangs of lads of certain ethnicity touring Jewish areas in their cars abusing passing Jews. And so it goes on and on.

The anti-semites in this country have been emboldened by far away events that have nothing to do with the people living in this country, and even by our own government and it's retoric, and today's events are the inevitable conclusion.

If any community needs our support and protection right now it is the Jewish community. They have to have security at every meeting they hold including birthday parties, yet the government look the other way if not in fact actually setting the conditions for anti semitism to thrive.

Not racism.

Antisemitism.
